Hi All. Please I have 2 questions.

1. If I use my current ielts to create a profile, can I update the profile later when I write another ielts and get a better score?
2. I’m the primary applicant but my spouse is yet to get his evaluation and ielts. Can I create our profile now and update later when he gets these things.

Thanks for all your help.

1. Yes

2. Yes

Good morning everyone.
I did a simulation using the CRS tool.
Age: 36
Education: MSc
Wife age: 31
Education: Bsc and CIPM

I saw the the maximum point I can clinched is 449.
What are the other ways I can get additional points apart from my wife writing IELTS?

Try on of the following

1. Let her write IELTS
2. Write TEF yourself
3. Stay back in Nigeria

What if the masters was Full time?

Then the job has to be part time.
You can't realistically combine full time work with full time study. It doesn't matter if it was possible in Nigeria; the VO most likely assess it from an ideal perspective

Hello good people of NL,

I need your help please. I got ITA yesterday and trying to get my ducks in a row. I posted a couple of weeks ago that my 9-month old PR application was refused because my reference letter did not match the NOC job duties and lead statement closely enough. I have since gotten another letter which I believe is a close match (of course without being 100% match to what they listed). With my first refusal, I am now paranoid and second-guessing everything.

Could somebody please be kind enough to help me take a look at my new reference letter and compare it to the NOC? I would really appreciate it.

Secondly, I would like to know if I can re-use the Nigerian police report I got last year. I have not been to Nigeria since I got the report so I expect it should still be valid. Tried looking for this info on IRCC but did not find it. Please point me in the right direction.

Thank you!

In the spirit of second guessing everything, I suggest you get a new one. Nigerian PCC is one of the easiest to get in the whole world. Remember the document itself has VALID FOR 6 MONTHS boldly written on it. You wouldn't want your new application to be thrown out at R10. I would err on the side of caution if I were you.

you are assuming most of the Indians getting ita are India based. Many are in Canada, Dubai, USA etc. Scores may not drop past 470s again. It's better to find ways to increase scores o. A friend got ita with 502 yesterday after she did french in February. People were saying it will drop back to 450s hasn't happened for over a year. People should do what they can to increase scores o. USA hopefuls and students are also shifting to Canada too

You are right. I remember in 2018 when the goal was simply to hit 440. Now, with 470 you have to even wait anxiously wishing that the next birthday never comes. The realistic thing to do is to increase scores by all means. This is what Indians are doing, not waiting

I am just talking generally, personally my stimulated CRS score is 472 minimum if my wife score 8777, and me scoring 6666. Which i know will be better.

she is below 30, she has 2 or more degree and me accompanying spouse i have a masters and Canada PR sibling.

You can see that i am still way below crs of 500 with alot of advantages on my side... Even if me and wifey both max out ielts, we still wont enter 500.

... If getting this point is that easy, CEC wont go to as low as 431 within 3 months.

This maxing of IELTS is not as easy as it sounds o. Having said that, I wish all the best!

Dear,

I think the general idea is to encourage everyone to follow through the process as best as they humanly can. Be it adding another language, rewriting IELTS exams, or an additional certification.

The lady said they were still working on applications submitted in March. This was mid june oooh.thankfully she advised me to use myEquals to share my transcript which i did and got my eca. Basically i wasted 12k on Courier from my school to wes which is still lying in a pile somewhere. online cost me like 4k only. So imagine the thousands of people waiting for ECA from wes that wes cannot attend to yet.

If anyone had told CEC candidates that scores will drop to 431 they would never have believed. CEC started at 467 oooh then plummeted down to 431. Imagine a 36 point drop. So why won't you believe same can happen for FSW? Last year's draw had 438 and there was no COVID-19 then.

I definitely see the scores dropping to 450 and slightly below sef. 6 draws of 3900 each will clear out the pool of stagnant fsw candidates that have been there since 4 months ago before more candidates come in at the end of the year

Why not? As long as your transcript and statement of result is ready, you can evaluate with WES. You should swing to action ASAP, Unilag seems to be working on WES requests faster now. You can PM me for the contact[/quote]

Whilst we are all happy that draws have resumed, it is wise to consider that the pool only has 22,300 candidates before the draw yesterday. The category of those with 471 and above is only about 4000 now after yesterday's draw. Between the last 3 draws only 200-300 more candidates were added over the past 2 weeks .
If the next draw is another 471-473 ish that category that has taken 4 months to accumulate will be cleared off and the scores will naturally drop down to 461-470 which can be cleared in 2 draws.
For what it's worth, india is still on semi lockdown and they take up majority of the spots. On an indian thread i just read, they are all having difficulty with their wes being sorted both from their universities and wes itself. America is not conducting ielts at the moment. So yes trump has everyone running for Canada but until October till end of the year, many wont even be able to enter the pool yet.
Whilst trying to do my ECA, i called wes severally as my school had dispatched transcript and i tracked it. After holding the line for like 45 minutes. I was told that they were piling all couriered applications in storage to begin working on them within a month ot two because of COVID-19. The lady said they were still working on applications submitted in March. This was mid june oooh.thankfully she advised me to use myEquals to share my transcript which i did and got my eca. Let us be more optimistic and stop making people feel miserable. I look forward to refereeing to this post when those with 440 get ita.

IRCC must meet it's quota. We are here to help them do so. They should use us to meet it. congratulations to us all in advance. It will work out for our good.

While your analysis is on point and all, I also think @Ednut has a point owing to the fact that we have all seen the uncertainties that surrounds this process. Truth is, we can all postulate and punch calculations but we can't tell their plans and things can indeed go side ways.

Yes, IRCC have their quota to meet but let's not forget that provinces are also requesting for reduced numbers this year cos of the spike in unemployment in canada.eg. Alberta, Nova etc... And this strategic plans could spread to other provinces to adopt. I don't mean to discourage people but anything can happen and am a fan of being prepared for the worst.

This said, what's the assurance that draws will hold as frequent as we think? What if they delay another 2 months before another draw? Don't forget that they have tons of applications pilled up and waiting for PPR. As @ednut said, everyone should try to max out points as much as they can push yourself and do what you can to get ITA cos that's what matters... We all postulated last year that scores would drop but the reverse was the case.

Anyways, it will end in praise.

please i have filled all i can but anytime i click on save and exit i get an error message stating that i have to fill for 10 years or from 18th birthday whichever comes first, and i'm not sure what the error is as i have filled it all, save for a couple of missing months when i was at home waiting for Law school to resume and when i waited for NYSC to start, apart from that all other sectors are covered month to month

They said account for 10 years and you missed some months, isn't that less than 10years you have accounted for. You must fill it, state that you were unemployed ni, you must add the dates and events of 10years.
