But he, and his almajiris own PVCs. That's what matters.

Of course, I have no idea whether he is sincere or not, but it is a welcome development to the branch of Igbos that want the Nigerian presidency.

Party delegates decides flag bearer, and even if the almajiri you mock are to decide Igbo Presidency's fate then they may show you why they have kept you out of governance for 50 good years after Ironsi,

If 40 million Ibos can't get a common project out of the 22b USD loan, no service chiefs , no leader in the National Assembly, what makes you think anyone is voting for you anytime soon ?

Nigeria has really caged the industry of the Igbo man who is a go getter from past history.

We are in a wrong country.

Glad to notice that you realise that almajiri PVCs will get the presidency.

You SW almajiris have spent the past 50 years undermining every southern group, secretly encouraging northerners to keep humiliating other southerners (e.g 2015) and giving them the secret support they need to ensure that the SE gets nothing from the 22b dollar loan. However, your tricks and ways of doing things now lay bare for all to see.

Tinubu was trying to depend in the old "let us ignore this Biafrans" routine to climb into the presidency, but things won't work that way.

The SE/SS alliance will make its presence felt, and the north seems to be gradually realising that Tinubu's gang is just a paper tiger political outfit. Outside the SW, Tinubu is a nobody.

You are not an igbo man Dude, We know ourselves.. We know what we want.

The igbos of today want out, the division is actually between the best strategy to go about it. They are divided between two opinions, half want restructuring, believing it will buy us some time to straregize our eventual pullout. the other half want out outright pullout of biafra and damn the consequence.
No group of igbos wants any business with presidency, as at this July 2020.
This is why I laugh when I hear people from zamfara and Ogbomosho tyring to dangle a stale unwanted meat to our faces grin grin let them eat their presid1ocy, we are officially done with project Nigeria.
If you are a true representation of igbos, then it is true when they say igbos are emotional idiots.

You want restructuring or you want to pull out of Nigeria.
You will get none of those and nothing will happen.
What do you even have that needs restructuring?

The south west and south south needs it more.

The only thing that will happen is that others will continue to govern Nigeria and ensure the south east remain starved of presence and infrastructure, while the igbo children will join their fathers as economic exiles across Nigeria looking for restructuring or biafra that will never come.

Olodo. See your mouth like you are not a real igbo.

You are saying igbos are stupid.

Lol Shettima Yerima is trying to pay the SE back for the effort Ojukwu made I’m campaigning openly for Shagari in 1983.

Igbos have supported the North for so long so I think the North should not be ingrate in 2023, they should support the Igbos and give them the ticket freely in PDP.

All I know is that the APC ticket is for Yoruba and the Igbos should man up and demand their right in PDP. They deserve the ticket!

Below is Ojukwu campaigning on top of his voice in 1983 for a Fulani, even when there are southerners on the ballot.

This is the problem with igbos, they're never with one voice. Get presidency, you should all support one person then you can pull enough resources to your place before pulling out for Biafra. Is it by commenting on Nairaland that biafra will be given? Support Igbo presidency and pull more resources to you. Nnamdi kanu cannot do anything about secession for now, Nigeria is a sovereign democratic nation. Think and get the presidency first then start working towards achieving your eventual pull out of the country. Commenting, protest, even war cannot bring Biafra no leader will allow it so he won't be termed "weak". I am Yoruba but it is better for Igbos to SPEAK With one voice stop all these unwise division amongst yourselves. Play the politics the Nigerian way! gather your people and support one person. Stop all these tribal nonsense and name calling as though you're kids. Just my humble opinion.
That proeast guy will soon come for your head, other Nigerians already know Igbos plan of presidency we know they want it so as to scatter Nigeria. So everyone have seen it already so it's an open secret, the greatest mistake they made was introducing Nnamdi Kanu n supporting him,had it been Nnamdi Kanu didn't open old wounds n burn all the bridges 2023 would have been a walk over for Igbos based on sympathy.

But Nnamdi Kanu showed their plan b4 they have d power so people are cautious of giving an Igbo man power now, don't b surprised that even their beloved PDP will not give them ticket come 2023

Igbos are major signatory in the formation of the APC.
CPC - Muhammadu Buhari
APGA faction - Rochas Okorocha
ACN - Bola Tinubu
ANPP - Ogbonnaya Onu

The above were the signatory to the formation of the APC before the coming of Great Ugboru’s party and the NPDP who weren’t signatories but joined from the PDP to boost their ranks.

Buhari himself testified to this fact in one interview. Igbos don’t make noise, but we’ll surely come for our property when the time approaches.
APGA Rochas faction were left out in the sharing of positions while the CPC and ACN got the lion share. The NPDP got the Senate Presidency through Saraki.

Come 2023, it is going to be between the APGA for Presidency and ANPP for Vice President two of which groups will stand for the APC.

Yes Shagari pulled some sympathetic votes because of how open and fair his government was to Ndigbo. I won’t deny this especially during the 1983 elections. This was because the country witnessed massive infrastructural and industrial growth in every state during his rule — no wonder why all best Governors in every state till date ruled under Shagari’s tenure. Yet, Yoruba media kept demonizing him and even went as far as inviting the military to remove him through a coup.
Back to my topic, Igbos voted Zik’s NPP in the 1979 and 1983 elections. Shagari main support base was the present South-South states whom he rewarded with the Senate Presidency.

Lol, Shagari witnessed massive infrastructural growth really? So Shagari was better than Awolowo and Azikwe in terms of leadership qualities and ability to grow Nigeria?

You are a joker. Here you are giving adulations to the Fulani and claiming Shagari was everything simply because you want to defend the reason for Igbos voting for Shagari.

While I don’t care who Igbos vote for coz it’s a democracy, what I can’t seems to understand is the hypocrisy of the Igbos in terming Yorubas Fulani appendages simply because they voted Buhari in 2015 and the mention of southern betrayal that Igbos always sought to play against the Yorubas.

is it not also southern betrayal during Shagari’ era when Igbos were busy splitting the southern votes? What changed in 2015? What is the difference between 1979/1983 and 2015? Are you guys not hypocrites?

Ogbeni gbenu soun. You should know that I’m not easily bullied. My post is still clear and plain. It was you who mentioned (at least from the bolded) Shagari been above Zik and Awolowo. Only a foreigner would say such. Shagari can never lace the shoes of Zik and Awo. Where would he start from, a TC 11 certificate holder. If Nigeria has been a progressive country, Shagari wouldn’t even think of becoming a Minister in the first republic let alone rule as President in the second republic. It happened because the foundation of this country has been skewed from day 1 to favour the north.

Back to my point, despite doubts about Shagari’s competency, his government still remains the best ever. Let’s be fair to the man for once. It was under his government that Governors really worked. We had Lateef Jakande in Lagos, Sam Mbakwe in Imo, Ambrose Alli in Edo, Solomon Lar in Plateau, Adekunle Ajasin of Ondo, Jim Nwobodo of Anambra, Mike Okilo of Rivers, Abubakar Rimi in Kano, Balarabe Musa in Kaduna, Bamanga Tukur of Gongola state etc.
We had the best Governors then all because of the leadership of Shagari/Ekwueme. Give credit to whom it’s due.

However rather than manage and possibly make the system better, the Awo’s UPN who were bad losers kept insulting Shagari with their media, claiming all kinds of corrupt rumors against him and even went as sponsoring an underground coup with the help of Abiola to bring the worst dictators Buhari/Idiagbon to power. It was under Buhari’s government that the country was brought down to her knees.
