TheKingIsHere:Can't they refuse them, so they can think out of the box.... IMF depreciated our naira to 360 Biko they keep giving loans that are difficult to pay back, money needed for power infrastructure used to service loans. |

By the time Trump finished dealing with Nigerians, America would be like Ghana for them. Even in the US, when you say to someone you are from Nigeria, they stare at you severally because they know your country and its government are useless. They get information everyday. |

Nicklaus619:If a country doesn't want you, there's little or nothing you can do. Some countries like Norway, Australia would be telling the Americans they want to leave but Trump would be like stay we love you guys but totally different from Nigeria. That's why it's always nice to make your home comfortable so that whenever someone harasses you or something, you would be proud to tell the person you wanna go home. And the person would surely stop harassing you. Hope you got my drift? 1 Like |

TheKingIsHere: Those that they want to deport are mainly those in the campus, those outside the campus are not in anyway affected, believe me I have a brother schooling and living outside the school there and in fact since the pandemic he has been doing side hustle, it will not be fair to deport them, they can adequately handle this situation in many ways that will not involve deporting of foreign student |

uruba23: So an organization that gives out loans should not give out loans because you have useless leaders? Bros, carry your matter and face your useless leaders. Buhari has borrowed so much this year alone, what does he has to show for it? Is that IMF fault too? |
Re: U.S. To Deport 16,000 Nigerian Students, ASUU Fumes by MT: 4:40pm On Jul 10, 2020 |
ODJ124: Lol. Nigeria is not even among the top 10 nations that their citizens are on student visa in the US. We need complete overhaul of our educational sectors. Most of the PhD and Prof in our uni are just paper tigers who shouldn't be in the business of lecturing. Don't be deceived, those titles are padi padi things in the uni now, they are mostly not earned. |

Mexzy4sho: Define valid papers. A student visa has requirements. One of the requirements, of which there are many, is that student be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units (as at back in the Dinosaur age when I was within the four corners of a US college). Most online classes does not qualify. So yes, you can certainly be deported with invalid papers. Also, a naturalized citizen can have the citizenship stripped off and the subject deported. |

Re: U.S. To Deport 16,000 Nigerian Students, ASUU Fumes by Xisnin(m): 5:04pm On Jul 10, 2020 |
thesicilian: Neither ASUU nor the state of the Universities responsible for the outflow of students. Most migrate for a better life and not for better universities or education. I have seen some of these foreign-educated students and can't see any difference in t China and India have various top local schools but their elite and middle children who can afford foreign education prefer US schools. You just have to understand that it is normal for a country to have an advantage in an area regardless of the efforts of others. Do Nigerian tertiary education need improvement? Yes. But that is a separate issue as to why students prefer foreign education. |

Zimri: First of all we have to consider the crap ASUU is saying. These schools over there are very expensive to attend and mostly are private institutions. Even with your cash as school fees to get in is war. The government has its blame but truth be told certain institutions should not be handled by government must regulated. Education, health, power, fuel should all be privatised and regulated by government agencies. The reason nothing works here is because the government is in charge and therefore nobody really is responsible. If universities where private can a lecturer be lecturing in 2 or more universities at once? Will they be missing classes as they like? Same thing with hospitals and power and fuel. It's like the telecoms industry Nitel never worked properly till GSM came in and koe everyone as a phone with multiple lines. If it were government owned by jow I can assure you that 50% of those with phones will still be visiting cyber cafe to read what I typed. Government has ruined the country and getting it on track will be difficult even for a sincere leader. P.s ASUU should go and sit down. |
