For the Reps that wants the children back to school, my question for them is How much is the budget of Education in the reversed budget. An answer is important because advising FG to reverse the decision of indefinite resumption date as the FG know they can't take responsible for the demands of schooling amidst pandemic.

The body language of the minister of education during the cancellation announcement showed that there is a problem in the ministry.

He sounded pretty pissed off while indirectly sending a message to the minister of state for insubodination.

I wonder why he'll make that announcement just two days after the announcement by the minister of state.

Where was he when the minister of state was busy attending PTF briefings and answering questions from journalists?

Where was he when WAEC had meeting with member states, or cant he read the report of the meeting which must have been sent to him?

Where was he when the PTF members gave go-ahead that it's safe enough for the exam to be held? (Don't forget they must have agreed in the PTF meeting before the minister of state made the announcement)

But just because he probably felt belittled, he had to boost his ego by coming up to counter the announcement. Maybe he thought he should have been the one to make the announcement, not the minister of state.

If the minister of state is BOLD ENOUGH to answer questions from journalists at the briefings, while he hides wherever he hides, I think the minister of state should also have the right to make the announcement.

He is really an ADAMU (No disrespect intended)

They should pls act accordingly. Exposing the most at risk group (adults in markets) and locking down the less at risk group (students in schools) is not just provocative, but ridiculous!

Will these people stop moving back and forth. At least for Nigerians sake. The exam is a month a way and Nigerian government is yet to arrived at a conclusion on whether to allow the students participate or not. Yesterday, it was the minister said this, today, the lawmakers said that, tomorrow, it will be presidency insists. When a government and its agencies can work in harmony confusion takes over the system.

Federal govt. reverses school resumption with the excuse of spike in infection. But from NCDC statistics, the opposite is the case.
Between 27/6/20--3/7/20 (last week)
Total number of confirmed cases-- 4,266
Total number tested_-------------------20,890
I.e 20% of those tested had the virus
Between 4/7/20--10/7/20 (this week)
Total number of confirmed cases__3,759
Total number tested------------------27,856
I.e. 13% of those tested had the virus
( Thus while more people were tested this week, the number of people with the virus reduced.)
So with which statistics did the minister base his decision of was because of the high number of VIP deaths in the last one week that rattled him.

This is a good example of Approach Avoidance Conflict. Opening the schools for studies and exams is good but could also be hazardous. Some countries are still regretting their decisions and have reverted back to status quo.

For us, we need to study our situation and peculiarities with regards to the pandemic and take informed decisions, not copy and paste.

Yes, there is corona virus in Nigeria but it’s not as prevalent as seen in the western world. I believe most of the children have already been exposed to the risk of corona virus by the fact that their parents and older siblings have been going out and coming in daily. A lot of these children also go to the crowded markets and run errands at home.

What if it lingers for the next 2 years will the children continue to stay at home? Corona has come to stay and we must take action and make changes to live with it. There’s nothing wrong in allowing the children take their exams.

according to my research,
Some say wassce may begin 4th August while some say it has been suspended indefinitely.
According to mails sent to me(pics attached).
These things left me dumbfounded, after my research I found out that I can't waste a pretty time typing long essay,
And what more could I've said order than the Government is confused and visionless.
