Nice dish u have there, especially the rice and the stew....

But ever since I ate white rice and stew + salad and ended up throwing up after taking beer few hours later; I've always dreaded white rice, stew and salad.

So I decided to make ekpankukwo.

We have another version of it in my home town - Ikokore which I do prepare well, major difference is the wrapping with leaf

The story is it was delicious .

Pocohantas I followed your receipe it came out niceeee.

Does anybody have any hint on how to suck that periwinkle? I got the ones still in the shell, the woman that sold it told me to break the pointed end, the thing inside still wouldn't come out while eating.

Looks delicious.

I prefer it with cocoyam leaves though. That's what is originally used.

Oga, you try but why thyme? The food look like grilled Chicken breast. E no go kill the taste so? Just curious. As for ginger, some people because of health reasons no go chop food wey no get am, so I fit understand that one.

Tnx. In fact after taking the pic i realized it looked like meatpie sef ;Dmaybe chicken breast too.

I add tyme,ginger to my moimoi. It gives it this unique taste. I didnt even see garlic to add if not i for put a whole clove grin

You be real Akwaibom chick. Na cocyam leaves i sabi, i learnt it from one of my exgalfriend from that region..in absence of cocyam leaves u can use pumpkin leaves. If using cocyam leaves U wrap from the outside part of d leave. i.e the inner part stays out while d outer stays in
