They can loan him to average portuguese teams like boavista etc or belgium or holland. You are right porto can bench nigerian players for life
But men Latvia is too obscure. Austrian league will be good to

Don’t you think the Nigerian players that have played for Porto aren’t doing that great to make the team or they ain’t good enough ?

I am sure if nacho had started at Porto his case might be different

You can’t just say Porto like benching Nigeria players ,I don’t think so

Una think sha Porto na small club ?

Wigan have a young Nigerian defender Emeka Obi on the bench

Wow !!! So that's where he had gone.

A few years ago he came to Liverpool ( they got scammed) he came from Bury at age 14/15 he was already 6' 4" he was the biggest in Bury. He was using size to dominate at youth level not neccesarily football ability. They already played him in the first team.

The News went out that there is a small boy Killing it. Everybody wanted him, l know Manchester looked at him and thought hype but Liverpool were too quick.

After a few sessions in the academy it was apparent that "not up too standard " for Liverpool. I thought so too.

But good to see he is still in football and still learning at Wigan. There academy is way behind Liverpool so it's no surprise he made it at Wigan.

Well done too him.

I know. But Llorente also has #9. One of them gotta give it up although I understand Llorente will be released shaa. And there were talks initially of Callejon leaving to return to his home town, Granada but Mertens has talked to him and it looks like he might stay but we never know. In any case, time will tell but I want #9 or #7 for Victor.

andrewbaba44:

Ahhh na callejon get 7 ooo

Llorente should be leaving for the vacant 9

You are right. I recall we gave him a few mentions here a few years back. Around 2016. Touted as the Biggest 15 yr old in English youth football back then.

Using Komekn's logic,in the context of here and now, that tweet wasn't wrong at that time grin .
Ibe had a lot of potentials, even better than Sterling...
I shared the same view that we won't miss Sterling because of Ibe...
Alas,we were disappointed in the end!

I know Raheem very well at that time, and his Jamaican agent that broke away from his former agency to manage him.

Ibe in my opinion was better AT THE TIME than Raheem, he was more skilful, stronger and seemed more capable for the rigours of the EPL.

I remember being at the Barbers with Raheem he was so small and skinny and his feet could not reach the ground. I thought to myself this boy cannot make it he was only 16 then.

Football can be unpredictable.

Nonetheless, the skill sets required to make it have not changed. Sometimes wrong decisions and lack of opportunity or making use of your opportunities. Sometimes players can become complacent.

Zaha nearly had his career destroyed at Manchester United.

Ibe could yet resurrect his career from the dead in a team that plays to his particular skill sets. I have seen Ibe in training with a group of players outside of Liverpool all black players. And without restrictions of playing a particular way you will quite shocked at his showboating skills.

Well, it kinda matters in a way shaa coz a player like that can become a brand. You want everything to sync. Look at C.Ronaldo and the Number 7. He is now known as CR7. Messi and the Number 10... Some tag him "L10nel" inserting the "10" in his name.

But on another hand, Someone like Josip ilicic dey wear #72 and it is not stopping him from tearing people's nets. Lol

But in all, Jersey numbers do matter in their own ways. For elite teams like Real Madrid, Barca, Man Utd, Liverpool, Bayern, Juventus... the number they assign to you can insinuate or suggest your level of importance to them, the board and to the team.

Top Italian Talent scout, Walter Sabatini speaks on Osimhen

Translated from Italian:

Courtesy: TuttoNapoli.net

To guarantee for Victor Osimhen there is also Walter Sabatini, the talent scout par excellence who over the years has found dozens of talents for Lazio, Palermo, Rome and now Bologna. From Nesta and Di Vaio to Ilicic and Pastore, Lamela, Benatia, Pjanic, Marquinhos, Manolas and Alisson and many others.

Speaking at Kiss Kiss Napoli, the current coordinator of the technical area of Bologna, also spoke of the '98 class of Lille which is now very close to Naples:

"Go and get Osimhen, it's worth it! Stronger than Cavani? Well, Cavani had a particular character, but Osimhen is graceful, he has the running depth, great technique. It would be a great buy and a great regret of mine, last year I was among his tracks but I didn't have the strength to acquire it, for Bologna. It was an incongruous operation for Bologna, too demanding, but it was a player to take. If Napoli has closed I wish you the best of luck, it is a great purchase."

Victor Osimhen has allways been highly rated by talent sporters in Europe. Lois campos trailed osimhen for 4 years

https://www.goal.com/en-ng/amp/news/osimhen-is-like-a-cat-luis-campos-reveals-how-lille-captured/1tzjdzuly85431u9m6o69taqz2

Maybe he has divine favor i dont know but Campos in particular has marketed him to everybody. I pray he does will in Napoli.

I remember his match rating when nigeria played brazil. It went "Victor osimhen is something special". He troubled the brazilian central defenders in that match.
I am not rating him i am just saying football scouts in Europe rate him highly

The Weapon of Mass Destruction of the Mid-2000s to early 2010s... Obafemi Martins, 35, has been signed by Ighalo's parent team, Shanghai Shenhua as replacement for Iggy who extended his loan deal at Man Utd.

Shanghai got two forwards actually. Martins was one of them. It is a return too b'cos he has played for them before.

Osimhen among the Elites of Match winners in Europe

Victor Osimhen up there among the pantheon of Match Deciders in Europe. Wonder what would have happened had he played the 10 remaining games in Ligue 1 that was stopped due to Covid.

He and Neymar infact would have been higher on this list. Neymar had 11 more games to spare. Osimhen had 10 to go.

As for the Udoh deal. Well, let him play first. 4th tier is the back of the backwaters but I hope he rises from there. Besides na transfer news anyhow or anyway on another player from Osimhen's set. grin
