And I endorsed this, for this very reason. Equally village witches from France were dancing on Martial's head that year too grin
I was expecting the worst

I think there was a rumour that we were going for Manzukic when Lukaku was sold

Rashford has really matured this season. The way he dribbled out of that tight space to create space for the 2nd goal was sweet.

Even his goal was delicious. I hope he is still up for Young player of the year.
I never expected that Goal from Rashidi

I thought he was going to Ballon it as usual

Rashford was unserious then

You wished for the downfall of Ole because he let Lukaku go? You do realize that Ole's downfall means Ünited's downfall?

Which kain fan you be? A Lukaku fan or a Man Utd fan?

P.S There never was a time Rashford was unserious, right from when he broke through as an 18yr old.

I thought Ole was clueless by letting Lukaku go

At the time we needed goals... I felt Rashidi should be our last option because Lingard unseriousness also Affected him

You are gonna wish you didn’t make this confession bro. Imagine wishing for the downfall of a team you claim to support just because of one jam body striker that was not special in anyway. Are you a Mam utd fan or a Lukaku fan?undecided

the next game against the Hammers will be another tough one, probably the toughest yet; not because of the opponents but because of the mentality required to go into the game.

against Chelsea predicted line up:

- - - - - - - - - - - - Romero - - - - - - - - - - - -
- - Bailly - - - - - Maguire - - - - Mensah - -
AWB - - - - McTom - - - Fred - - - - Dalot
- - - - - - - - - - - - Pogba - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
- - - - - - James - - - - - - - Ighalo - - - - - - -

5 defenders, 2 defensive midfielders, Pogba, a target man and a pacy nincompoop. grin

Is the fix in? We won't reach Chelshit's 18 yard box.

In that scenario how does Ole suffer a downfall without United suffering a downfall?

And of all people to wish your club bad for it was Alhaji Lukaku? cheesy grin grin cheesy

No, I never thought the same and I will never! Man Utd comes first before any frigging player and I would never wish my club fails just because our manager granted the wishes of a player who wanted to leave.

My name is afrodoc and i co-sign this message.
If i didn't do it for Jaap Stam, Roy Keane, or Ruud van Nistelrooy i am definitely not doing it for Romelu Lukaku.

True

But I thought Rashford was never going to act right... That was why I frowned at the sale of Lukaku

But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise

Lamenting about a player being sold is different from actually wishing that your club's manager (and by inference your club) suffers a downfall.

And for Lukaku? Someone who has the first touch of a rapi.st and the movement of a pile of a rocks AND is not a club legend.

I thought Ole was claiming Mr know it all

I'm happy he has made me to eat up my words

Ole was being proactive and was planning for the future.

A player like Lukaku with his technical limitations and the speed of the modern game can't be a starting CF for a top team. That first touch can't be worked on significantly at his age.

Martial on the other hand is younger, more skilled and has a much higher individual ceiling than Lukaku. Then you factor in his superior team play and the special understanding on the pitch between Rashford and him.

Ole was actually being selfless because he was sacrificing the guaranteed goals of Lukaku and the lower ceiling for the potential future goals and higher ceiling of Martial.
A major risk because if the potential is not achieved it would be Ole's job on the line. Which is exactly why JM would not take that risk.

This is simply the only solution. Fred or Tominay can't play a lone DM like Matic. They only function well when they play together

Not true. Fred did well on his own when McTominay was injured for a long time. Fred did well with even Perreira.

The issue currently is that he is low in confidence to do what he can having been made a bench player. This same thing used to happen to Nani whenever Valencia was back for injury. Some players just can't compete.

If this game doesn't show the board that our priority should be a DM and RW, I don't know what else will.
Matic calmed everywhere immediately he came on. Good game overall.

We move

When Matic was 23 years old would he have been able to play like this?

Hope we do not sell McTominay and later buy him.back for £150 million in two years? Ferguson has identified McTominay and Greenwood as two players he is most please with

I like this partnership between Rashford and Martial and how they're combining to win us games. This is what i've always dreamed of....forwards that score. grin

I reckon one of them(or both sef) will hit 20 league goals!

Glad no one is talking about attacking improvement from the fullbacks as guys here were shouting after just two games in the continuation of the season after lockdown.

Three years running? Someone that missed the whole of last season through injury? Calm down and go over your stats again.

This is only his second full season as an EPL keeper. For a connoisseur of football knowledge, I’m surprised that you missed this.

I know all that, our former youth player Tommy Heaton was Burnley's first choice when they came up, Heaton was very very outstanding, but got injured, pope replaced him. when he returned, it was clear Pope is better than him. Why I said 3 years running is that all the time he is available he still maintained elite standard. Infact everytime he is available he is easily Burnley's best player, making saves after saves. He is a player I have followed very closely. Even Heaton himself went to Villa, and have been outstanding before his injury.

Greenwood would have been loaned out if JM was still in charge

I don’t think any of the younger player developed when Mou was in charge

McTominay got better but i believe it was mainly as a result of maturity than anything JM did different. McTominay's development curve might be a bit skewed because from youth team to senior team he has had to change position about 3 times. If he plays the same position for like2 seasons he would definitely improve enough to justify his place in the squad.

A bit like Fletcher that had to learn how to play as a CM in his 20s (after growing up a right winger) and was on the way to a very good United career when sickness struck.
