Hello prof, my generator is giving me a hard start and after starting it emits white smoke for few minutes, the engine oil level is very okay. What could be wrong?

Good morning prof my newly bought sumec gen 1.8kva is not generating electricity after using it for 2weeks I thought it was the change over switch becos it was old and shaky and got it replaced becos I believe is 2 early for the gen to be having capacitor issue but the gen is still not generating electricity

i only recommend tec on 1kva-1.5kva their 2.5 and 3.5kva makes noise fast and smoke fast too, and if at all u are to overhaul tec rings are changing to get, their 2.5kva 3.5kva rings are not same with others.

so sorry for the early electrical fault u experience on that gen, though i believe the Issue is the capacitor, just change it, but dont buy the black square one, buy the white round one buy 20uf.

I'm planning on getting a tec big boy 4.0kva mostly because of my AC should I go ahead or is there any other brand you'll suggest.

Hisense 1HP x 3
2 Desktop Computers
Skyrun Fridge (with showglass)
LG Mini Fridge
4 Small Fans
32" TV with DSTV
8-10 Energy Saving Bulbs.

Will the rating suffice?

very funny sir, but be aware if the gen is too low the vibration will be high and then u putting the generator sittings under much pressure and it will break soon. make sure is not too low.

Ur gen cant be emitting smoke and not short oil, first where is the smoke coming out from?. Exhaust or cabrator side, is either the rings is dead, or ur valve seal is bad.

it's a new Gen. I guess it's from a dirty fuel. because I am seeing some dirty inside the fuel tank floating in the fuel. it might also be that water enters the carburetor.

so what should I do?
