Really appreciate bro, ....... its Naija used, he said i will just need to refill the AC.

nurey:

If tokunbo or naija used check the transmission well well and ensure it is in good condition.

After buying change your transmission oil every 6 months if you can afford it use Nissan NS-2 which is a CVT fluid nothing else.

NOTE
MURANO is fitted with CVT not regular Automatic transmission and any automatic transmission fluid you pour inside would damage the transmission

Good Day All, just to update the house and ask for the way forward. I spoke to the mechanic although am in Lagos presently and he is with the vehicle in Auchi. He said a new ECU or brain box has been gotten and the old one replaced. He also said the new ECU is now bringing light to the plugs, nozzles which the old ECU did not and there is communication between the ECU and other parts of the vehicle. Just as I was elated to hear that he said the vehicle has lost timing and that he has to be reset the timing before it starts. Please is he on track cos he said he has adjusted the timing and is waiting for the programmer to complete his work and start the vehicle.

Thanks.
Today I had to take a painful decision to tow the SUV to Benin. The mechanic in Auchi told me he had set the timing and it started. He said the vehicle started but goes off after steaming for a while so the electrician said he would need to replace the camshaft sensors. This was since Monday. I called him today and all he told me was that the electrician has been busy. So haven reviewed fact that the vehicle has been with him for 4 weeks without completely fixing it, I have sent a towing van to move the car to Benin perhaps I will get it fixed there.

Is the vehicle still throwing up error codes for the camshaft sensors? If it is, then you need to get a good replacement sensor before all the lights will go off.

The ECM has reported a communication gap with another module. A high end scanner can access other modules on the vehicle and narrow down the issue responsible for the limp mode e.g Transmission Control Module.

The rough idle is due to the 2 faulty oxygen sensors and need to be replaced.

Please let them scan the vehicle again and be sure it is the camshaft or crankshaft sensors. I bought tokunbo sensors from a guy in Ladipo and they all work fine. Remove the old sensors and tell me the last 3 letters on it or the whole letters on it. For example, one of mine has a29-632 l20 (camshaft). Then another has a29 662 l20 (crankshaft). You may google those numbers. Another thing the guy did apart from using his multimeter to check the sensors, was placing the old sensor in front of the new sensor to check if they repel or attract. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hello guys, please the power steering fluid in Nissan xterra 2002( I think its 2002) is leaking. We actually don't see it drop on the floor but its like the vehicle is over sucking it up or something this started like 2 weeks back and it has never been like that, after I take it out the thing drops drastically not more than 35 minutes drive in total.

Hubby called one mech to check it out I think he came tightened the hoses attached to the while container holding the fluid and he has come like 3 times now and the thing still go downs fast after a short journey. I think he has used about 2 containers of the oil within a this 2 weeks.

I was trying to reverse at the market like a week back and the steering was strong, one agbero now told me that they should check the oil so that something rack wouldn't spoil, I told hubby the mech came did some things and everything seemed okay the steering is now normal but the oil still zaps quickly .

Yesterday made it the 3rd time the stuff will drain from max to minimum after a drive.I drive it 98% of the time.

He has said he will look for another person.

Please any idea what could be wrong?

Why in the bloody hell would you want to do that? Better sell that car if you don't like it.

Any way to make a BMW M3 drive like a Camry? Yeah, by selling it and buying a Camry.

It's a large leak that should be easily detected by a competent mechanic. The mechanic is yet to check the steering rack and its seals for damage due to old age. Delay in fixing will affect the power steering pump.

Any DOT-3 brake fluid will do. Total brand is readily available in filling stations.

kingreign:

any good Dot 3 heavy duty brake fluid will do. But I'd always advice you switch to Dot 6 if you see any.

which DOT-3 brake fluid would you recommend for es 350 07?

I can fix it. It's a communication gap issue with the car and the computers which can also retard the performance of the oxygen sensors.

Yes very possible. If you have a good pump and steering rack still okay, all you need to do is to turn the adjustment knob under the pinion to the softness that you want. It is not always the best for that kind of vehicle, FX is a high performance vehicle with larger wheel base compared to Corolla. Leave it soft as designed, when adjusted to be softer, you can turn the steering completely with a single finger, you won't like it on the FX.

I have made some progress but still have an issue pending. The guy in Benin has started my 2008 V8 Pathfinder but the issue is when the vehicle starts it revs well and do not go off after the engine gets hot. But the issue is after he puts off the engine it kills the Camshaft/Camshaft Sensors and he will have to replace them before it starts and kills the sensors again. What do I do now please. Thanks all for support and advice.
