Please help me to select best car for the first time user, am considering two brands which is Honda. Accord DC (2006/007) and Toyota Corolla2004/005 which one is best in term of: Durability, Maintenance, Luxury and Fuel Efficiency. Am budgeting 1.3 to 1.7. thanks

I am in the same situation. First time user too.
But in my own case I will prefer one of
Honda Accord
Toyota Camry
ES330
Or Even Toyota Matrix

I don't like Corolla

All within the same year range (2005-2007)

Goodday all, please a friend called me that someone wants to sell a Toyota Camry 2003 for 670k last. Only issue is that the engine is smoking. I really don't know much about cars except the basics. My questions are
1. Is it a minor issue?, What are the downsides
2. If it requires changing the engine, would it be full engine or half?.
3. And what's the cost of a Camry engine half and full

Budget like 250k for the engine replacements and miscellaneous expenses that comes with naija used

If you are sure other things are in order. And it's well maintained

Okay sir, so u don't advice Camry 2007-2009 Or Corolla 2010 or Camry 2010?... I don't like Corolla 2004-2007 bcus of d size

If you can find 09/10 Corolla, people use it. Also, 07-09/10 camry is still okay. Someone even uses 10 camry sport for uber full time. But I will recommend 09/10 corolla because of smaller engine, which might mean relatively better fuel economy, not that 07-10 Camry are bad also.

You can literally use any toyota or Honda car provided it is in good state and you give it proper maintenance, and you're going to be driving it yourself.

Good luck.

Between Peugeot 407 and and Honda accord 2004 (EOD), which one of them is more durable in terms of

Cost of maintenance
City driving

Southwest or southeast Accord preferable

North Peugeot 407 would do.

fuel efficiency depends on what engine each is carrying less Litre better economy

strong legs depend on user maintenance culture and ability to do the right thing at the right time

comfort driving depends on trim you buy of your choice

cost of maintenance not fixed also but both have parts available and are known to make durable cars with good engine.

city driving buy the least Litre each manufacturer fits 2.4 for Accord while the 407 I believe starts from 1.8

Good day all, please I want to get an 8th generation civic between 2006-2010. But I'm seeing 2 different types, all claiming to be either 2007 or 08 or 09. One has tiny curvy headlamps and semi arched tail lights, while the other has bold headlamps and bold tail lights as well. What's the difference and which is better. Although both have similar interiors

The first one is the North American model it comes into Nigeria as Tokunbo

The second one is Asian model comes into Nigeria as a brand-new unit.

the second one is more common and body parts available, both vehicles are good but ensure to check the engine walls well, the vehicle is plaqued with cracked engine block especially the tokunbo unit. so shine your eyes grin

Good day Sir. Pls I need your advice on the best choice to make. I want to get a Toyota Highlander with i4 engine between 2005-2009 for city driving on bad road in my location. Which year will you advise?

Although, a friend who is also a car dealer, is suggesting that he prefers I go for the 2005 model, I just want other opinions to make my final decision.

05-07 uses the 2.4L 2azfe

08-09 uses 2.7L engine

newer is always better if you can afford the 09 and find the 4cylinder engine it is a much better buy.

Efficient they are all efficient

Durability they are all almost the same, difference is negligible

Luxury the Avalon tops, followed by RX next is ES

Fuel economy ES, Avalon and RX are so close

Maintenance, in term of cost and parts availability ES would be cheaper followed by RX then next is Avalon.

All the vehicles have same 3.5L V6, identical 6speed transmission.

The luxury fittings of the Avalon ship is filled with a lot of standard equipment that the highest trim of the ES may not come with. Though the 09 Rx is a redesign, it is luxurious too.

I would say pick the ES it is a short wheel base compared to the Avalon, has good fuel economy and more appropriate been driven personally, the Avalon feels like a chaffeur vehicle.

If you need the ground clearance needed during raining season in ikoyi, the RX is your vehicle and would prove to be a Swiss knife in other to attain a balance in your needs

Spot on analysis.

But it has a base model.

2011 Avalon comes in only two trims base and unlimited .The 1st one has no navigation trim, heating seats and JBL speakers though its also equipped with other standard equipment while the 2nd trim is loaded to the teeth.Though whichever he picks he is good to go.Might be even lucky to have some add on from the limited to the base model.

The Avalon is a more recent car and beats the Es hands down in terms of luxury.

2003 Toyota Camry may be your best buy in this case.
Do due diligence during inspection.
