Sometime back I told you Erdogan wasn't playing with a full deck and may be under mind control or secretly controlled by the worst of the revanchist Ottomans judging from his endless escalations with Russians in Syria. Seen the latest?

The incident unfolded quickly in the eastern Mediterranean on June 10, when a French frigate under NATO command tried to inspect a Tanzanian-flagged cargo ship suspected of smuggling arms to Libya in violation of a U.N. embargo.

The French armed forces ministry, speaking on behalf of the government, said the frigate was harassed by three Turkish navy vessels escorting the cargo ship. A Turkish ship flashed its radar lights and its crew put on bulletproof vests and stood behind their light weapons, it said.

Turkey disputes this. It denies trafficking arms to Libya and says the cargo ship, the Cirkin, was carrying humanitarian aid. It has accused the French navy of aggression.

Turkey’s ambassador to France, Ismail Hakkı Musa, said on July 1 the three Turkish warships were helping NATO enforce the U.N. arms embargo.

Yes, I know Jean-Fraud was involved but that's a hostile act! Unthinkable, actually between NATO partners.

Turkey once ruled Libya in the Ottoman days and now supports the GNA as does Italy while France,Russia, the UAE and Egypt are in Field Marshal Khelifa's anti GNA camp. The potential for conventional combat between Egypt's army, the 9th biggest and Johnnie Turk, the 11th largest is high, maybe even more so than the Himalayan situation given the Turkish propensity for escalation.

Btw,the Greeks,a lightweight med power are historical enemies of the Ottomans for hundreds of years and can combine to make things tres tres difficile FOR Ankara.
What can you add chkil1?

UPSIDE DOWN REVOLVERS FROM N ITALY!

Rmbr, this part of the world is a major centre of global gunmaking and Beretta based here started up late 1500s. There's another 20 manufacturers with varying innovations and here's a few in the revolver niche. How to reduce recoil? Reduce the bore axis! How? Put the barrel beneath barrel shroud! The recoil reduced and the revolver would push slightly backward upon firing while you'd feel slight heat from the cartridge gas due to closeness to cylinder. These guys pioneered the idea https://www.matebaitalia.com/

The Chiappa 200d .357. The low barrel flip allows for rapid shots on target-the key to winning gunfights.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsmQiR5L2tQ

Compare recoil with a Ruger .357 at 3.46

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X14AWsisL-c

The,second the Unica 6 goes for 3000$,3x a S&w! Imo,the concept worked though the first one,an 8 shot, the only high capacity .357 to my knowledge wasn't a success. The Mateba was way too long for everyday carry at 10.5 inches since the cylinder is ahead of the trigger using up much frame space.

Btw, nemesis8u, might there have been a drug smuggling route behind the recent Himalayan quarrel with your Northern buddies?
It seems there's a major Himalayan heroin smuggling in the region though IDK where exactly. Could it be the Chinese or a faction was intent on remaining in control of said route?

Nigerian DSS (secret police)
I have some questions about this dss agency.

What's their duty/responsibility sef?

They use powerful and heavy firearms, how come we don't see them engaging in shoot-out/raiding crime spots?

They always act as politicians bodyguards, but the police have a department for bodyguard duty(police spu)

The crimes in Nigeria are always solved by the various departments in the police(it,sars,efcc,anti-kidnapping). what's now the use of these guys??just today, one of them slapped an airport security official.

How come the dss does not release it's emergency numbers so the public can always call them whenever there is a crime, unlike the police that always drop their numbers for the public?(are the dss afraid of facing criminals?).

Who has more constitutional power between the dss and the police?

I recognize that there has been no case of human rights abuse against the dss and I appreciate them for that.but what exactly are their duties??or the agency is a cash-cow for politicians ni?.

The original job of the DSS was protecting the Head of state (President) and Military Administrator (Governor) and some other senior government officials during the military regime, but since the return to democracy we seen them been used by anyone with connection to the President.

Their job ain't like your normal police job.

GREG MILLS: Don’t scrap it, fix it
Calls to abolish the army are misguided. But that doesn’t mean there’s not a mountain of problems with it. Instead, we should look to reform it.

There was a call in the FM two weeks ago: "Abolish the army." The writer, Tristen Taylor, cited my study on the poor performance and lack of reform of SA’s defence force as a reason for his view. It’s a lazy argument, more philosophical than practical.

I never said they were like normal police undecided There major role is protection of the number 1-6 citizens of the country and 1-2 citizens of the state. But now DSS is now like police, everybody close to the President can get DSS protection.

DSS might not carry out solo missions like the FBI does, but they do partner with other arms in fighting crimes..for example I have seen pictures of their operations in coiperation eith the Army against banditry.
...
I think the if we need a real homeland security Intelligence agency, we should create another agency because the DSS is mostly political

Aradu's problem has always been the engine and I think the hull becoming weak....I think some weapons systems are still working.

About 4 years ago, officer undergoing training were told aradu's weapon systems were still functioning and it could attack , but she wasn't sea worthy.

Truthfully I don't think dockyard can repair her, they need to sign a contract with the German company that built her or better still buy a more modern ship.

Even the fast attack ships can't go to sea, after spending years in dockyard, even after Greek engineers were called and destroyed the ship more and swapping brass for less durable materials.

Most of those ships just exist to create office for manpower and means to justify money collected.

Slightly O/T. Most of you are unfamiliar with firearms injuries. In movies bullets hit shoulders while the hero calmly continues firing one handed simultaneously lighting a cigarette. In truth a a close range 7.62 NATO will leave the shoulder hanging by a ligament! Blood loss is traumatic and often especially if auto fire is used the immediate scene is littered with human tissue. I've seen both 9 mm and heavier calibre wounds.
Early Jan 08 a negligent discharge from an excited teenage carjacker in Nairobi hit my my cuz in the leg. It shattered the bone and he almost bled out. He had reconstructive surgery 2 yrs ago and was implanted with screws at the injured site as the bone grew back. Someone else was shot accidentally in Kisumu 92 by a guy with a G3. By the grace of Amadioha and Ogun the bullet missed his torso and hit his left forearm as he sat in the car:the thug was standing outside his window in contact range. Cops found a bullet hole in the floor pan but not the round which likely ricocheted away at least a km or into infinity
The damage was so extensive docs said, physiotherapy was impossible, the nerves being too badly damaged. He was left with 20% use of his left arm. Another guy I know was hit 14 times,YES,14 TIMES,in 2008 by a carjacker in the torso but all those rounds missed vital organs. In 3 days he was out of the ICU! Which brings us to the little nigga,a teenage Mexican sicario who literally lost his head in an ambush-GRAPHIC so I won't post it. The entire skulls seems to have been destroyed by bullets.

are the parts of these drones completely made in Nigeria, or they are imported and then coupled in the country? and can we now move away from what i think is a bit mediocre for us now since we developed the gulma and the Amebos, and move into something more advance now?
