From the comments here I could see that flat headers are crazy. They tried so hard not to abuse the stupidity of the commissioner all bcoz he is not from North.

Is it for radio classes for pupils and students?

If so, the recipients should be all the registered pupils and students in the state.

Internet age can be after by network service, lack of data, etc lipsrsealed But radio can receive Am station from different countries
The story is false even. I was very angry because I love Akwaibom and it's people to the moon and back, you won't understand. So for Udom and his gang to do this, I considered it lowering the standards. Thank God its fake news.

What pains me most is 66 years after the first transistor radio, Nigerians still can't make them. 66 years ago for crying out loud. This is the most simple technology, yet nobody in this forsaken country has bothered, or has been supported to make one.

All these years, and we just import import import. Why do we have so many smart people, yet we can't make shiit?

I'm not even going to complain much that this is what a governor thought would be good for the people: radios, in 2020. If this was 1970s I'd understand, but really?

And of course, each radio cost around 7k, yet our dear officials priced it at 20k.

Not sure if one could label this progress or retrogression especially given the fact we exist in an age of ICT.

Below are pictures of the commissioner for Information and Technology distributing transistor radios to some beneficiaries, likely the staffers of the ministry.

Given the pervasive rot in our system at the moment, one would be left wondering how much the ministry might have claimed they expended on the "project".

I am really suprised to the picture of an adult collecting the radio on camera, May be it was just for photographic show.

The radio were actually meant for PUPILS and STUDENTS to enable them participate on the STATE GOVERNMENT ministry of EDUCATION 'S... "SCHOOL ON RADIO. *

No bro I didn't even mean fulani in that manner. I meant that they are the ones who are synonymous with transistor radios may be due to their nomadic lifestyle. What happened to laptops and Android phones etc.

It was just very funny how you stated the obvious fact cheesy

Abi what will they do with laptops and androids?

But some of those civil servants don't even see the need to have an android phone not to talk of laptops... IMO, methinks that the commissioner himself would have done better if he himself is computer literate. cheesy

But why now? Obviously they did not give the children again but their political party loyalists.. As usual grin

Schools should be on air. Like TV, Websites, even android phones will do.... Backward leaders and their warped thinking....

When a 10 year old Nigerian but UK based girl already has certification in coding! And already hired by a school to teach!

Hmmmm... We need correct brains to lead us... Not all these lifeless people :- undecided
