A very sensible recommendation by the people.
Not untill those at the corridors of power begin to feel the heat the masses are facing the status quo will always remain the same.
The next for the govt is to register them for npower program and conduct free mass weddings for "Repentant Bokoharam".

She was walking and got hit from the rear of the vehicle? that said, who was claiming 2nd degree murder? This is involuntary manslaughter, not 2nd degree murder.
It was an accident.
And only in Nigeria would passengers in vehicle involved in an accident be arrested and prosecuted, they weren't in control of the motor vehicle, only one person was driving that car, and only him is responsible for this, not all 3.

No it is not regarded as an Accident anywhere in the world.
At best it is involuntary Manslaughter.
At worst 3rd degree Murder.
All those in the Car rightfully were arrested.
The Fact that the Driver did not have a Driver’s license makes it worse.
They have been legally handed over to the Police.

Lemme gist you what actually led to this incidence

ISWAP attacked a Military base in Gajiram, Nganzai LGA. After an hour the military withdrew after losing over 20 soldiers. ISWAP burnt down the FOB and took some Military Hilux and an APC.

ISWAP started going to shops where Action against Hunger use agents to disperse food to beneficiaries. They looted some bags of rice from two AAH vendors.

The Military felt Action against Hunger intentionally kept the rice for the Insurgents.

But in that same attack some Hilux were captured by BH.

In that attack over 20 Nigerian Soldiers were killed and captured.

In that same attack BH spent over 4 hours strolling around the town and led prayers in that town.

Maybe the Action against Hunger vendor should have used his hands to chase BH from looting his shop.

guy just tell me you hate the Tucano cos it's turbo prop stop using over priced to cover up..
We have broken down the sum of everything still what's over priced there...

There are 4 different issues in my write up.

The first and most pertinent is the ineptitude in munitions procurement that has rendered a good quality APC and possible quasi IFV essentially useless.

My response was factual and substantive but you completely bypass the substance of that.

You then center on the A29.

But it's Saturday morning and l will indulge you. Let me break things down simplistically, that even you with your pre-conceived notions routed in sentiments not substantive inferences. Will have to reconsider your position.

First of all in order to make an objective deduction on price, first thing we need is comparison.

Breaking down the cost of purchase and maintenance of an asset is not justification for best value.

If l buy a Toyota Tundra V8 4x4 and break down its costings capital as well recurrent expenditure (maintenance and running costs). Is that suffice to say it's best value❓

The reasonable thing if not basic common sense thing to do, would be to make a comparison on, capital procurement cost, running and maintenance costs. As well as efficiency reliability and perfomance. With other comparable vehicles.

So l would then compare the Tundra with the Nissan Titan V8, Dodge Ram V8, and the Ford F150 V8.

I can then after that comparison say the Toyota is best value and or the best platform.

After taking all variables, I then do not find any outstanding advantage for the Toyota over the other vehicles.

But with price comparison the Toyota Tundra costs $80k and the Ford costs $20k, the Dodge $22k, the Nissan $18k would you not then say the Toyota is grossly over priced.

Now transpose if you like this conceptual framework to the A29 Tucano. That's my reasoning and framework for coming to my conclusion about the A29. By comparison to other turboprop aircraft platforms.

You should know by now that if I say something it will not be whimsical. Even if you have taken a dislike to my opinion. Contend with substance not emotive sentiment based prejudice.

Air interdiction missions being conducted by the Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI have yielded more positive results with the destruction of a new camp belonging to the armed gang headed by the bandit leader known as “Dangote” in the Doumborou Forest area of Zamfara State. The air strike, which also resulted in the killing of several armed bandits, was executed on 23 July 2020 after Human Intelligence (HUMINT) reports as well as series of confirmatory aerial surveillance missions established that members of the gang, along with their logistics items, motorcycles and hundreds of rustled livestock, had relocated from their erstwhile position to new area by a rocky high ground within the Forest.

2. The Air Component therefore dispatched an enhanced force package of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets and helicopter gunships to attack the location. The attack aircraft engaged the target area scoring accurate hits and taking out some of the bandits. Many others, who were seen trying to flee the location in disarray, were mopped-up in follow-on attacks.

3. While commending the Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI for their professionalism, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has urged them to remain resolute in the conduct of air strikes whilst continuing to provide close air support for ongoing ground operations in order to eradicate all armed bandits; thus accomplishing the directives of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) to restore normalcy in the North West and North Central Zones of the Country.

What you see from your experience as COMMENDABLE l may see as COMDEMNABLE.

The pertinent question is what you anchor your COMMENDATION upon knowledge, first hand experience and or sentiment based bias.
