One more thing before I go for today...I get slide to prepare against tomorrow and it's already 10pm

People have been asking if it's advisable to take the in-class TEFL course here or elsewhere.

I'd say if you have the money, you can take it. But if my sister or brother asks me, I'd say don't spend your money on that.

It's your choice real
Others are more concerned about your experience and accent and yes they will ask if you have TEFL but I don't know whether it's to fulfill righteous or something.

So again, it's your choice. If you have the money, take in-class.
If you don't, be smart and learn on the go
You can decide to take the I class too later after some months.

It's all your choice
Sorry to bother you please, so are you saying the TEFL is not compulsory or someone can take the online class? Because I thought it's one of the requirements. Please respond to this sis.

By the special grace of God January 2021 will not pass me.
I've completed my TEFL course on-line and all other requirements are available now except the police and medical which I intend doing in December due to the 6 months validity after which I will authenticate.
I've started applying for jobs already and getting both negative and positive response. Most said I should get back to them when the boarders are open.
I am also looking at China to teach because they pay more than in Vietnam.
At Whyna inspired me to take this part in leaving this country and start globe trotting via teaching English abroad with lots of opportunities.

Thank to the merciful God for healing your mum.

Someone is confused and He/she decided to ask the OP for further explanation, you jumped on the question as if he/she quoted you.

You all need to learn how to mind your business.

OP, Well-done. I have a degree, what other qualifications do I need to teach in Vietnam? Should I get IELT or TOEFL.

Do u know why I dont like online dating.

OK. I know a lot of young Naija boys (including my cousins) spend most of their time looking for Oyinbo via online dating in hopes of getting a green card. In the end, they ended up getting married to very old and fat Oyinbo women who were the same age as those boys' mothers. All of those boys were eventually fed by the old ladys' pension funds. I really don't know why there r people who spend their youth to date online and wait for the old Oyinbo to feed them instead of studying more and improving their skills in order to find good jobs. I guess it is cos of their laziness. And in the end, they describe their lives as hell.

Therefore, I have some advice for him. He should take time to study more, improve skills to make more money. And prove his lover that he has the financial ability to support his family before thinking about getting marriage. It will prove that he is worthy.

What WhyNa doing in this thread is very inspiring. He should learn WhyNa more instead of pursuing marriage of foreigners. It is nothing to be proud of.

CelebRepublic:

It's not real?? So many people got married through online dating...Hahah bro I'm not here to make you believe or not I only came to seek advice.

As long as this thread exist, I'll definitely post some pictures of 'US' in the nearest future. One Love Man.

@WhyNa your update dey always sweet me. Truly a lot have happened oh since your last update and am happy you are getting it right.

Always know that you are like John the Baptist that prepared the way ahead.
There is very little information about Vietnam here on nairaland so you are the first giving first-hand info about Vietnam. Your thread have place the hunger for Vietnam in many of us and also opening doors for us. I am certain that before December 2021 a lot of us will be in Vietnam all thanks to your exposition.

We are certain that you will win more. The land of Vietnam will keep favouring you. Amen.

I bless God in thanksgiving for your miraculous deliverance and for the healing of your mom. It's not yet her time. She will reap so much your Vietnam fruit.

Keep pushing for your success is our motivation. In few years I am certian more Vietnam threads will spring forth all thanks to you.

You are the real odogwu.

If you ask me what the one thing I'm grateful I bought in Vietnam is, I'd say my motorbike. That guy has saved me and enabled me take jobs and keep jobs too. I don't even want to get started on the cost saving.

Two weeks ago, I sha had a terrible accident. My family doesn't even know. Lol.

The guy that caused the accident zoomed off. I landed hard on the floor after somersaulting of my bike. Naija pikin sha strong, female or male plus God's not dead and He has me in mind steady. I sustained just a little bruise.

The other Vietnamese woman sha had it bad. Her legs were hurt badly.

Long story short, people gathered, woman's husband came, they rushed her to hospital, my bike was damaged, plenty Vietnamese language everywhere, police came, one hour turned to three hours (11pm). I just said a silent prayer to God to speak for me

Finally, English speaker was sighted. They said I should pay for the hospital bill. I first asked them these questions

Where is the money?
Where's the guy that caused the accident?
I was lucky to not have been injured. If I was, would you be asking me to pay hospital bill? Who would have paid mine
Finally, I no get job or money.

Then they said police wants to carry the bike as evidence.

I said sha kukuma take with you because I don't know where I am, how will I get home? Where will I sleep by this time?

They said bring your passport, I said I don't have it with me.

Finally, God did speak for me and they said I should say sorry and go!

Grace!

Honestly, It's been God.

Let me quickly share a testimony here.

All these while I was updating and answering mails, I was in a terrible shape emotional and mental wise.

My mum was lying critically ill in the hospital for 3 good months. Like we had lost her cos all her organ shut down. I'm talking liver, kidneys and heart. No jokes.

But again God said NO. Mercy said NO.

My mum is Hale and hearty now, back home receiving spa treatment and sending BBC on WhatsApp again

I'm a testimony of God's awesome goodness and it's evident in all areas of my life honestly.

Please take a moment to just say Thank you Jesus in your heart on behalf of my mum. Thanks

So sorry for your ordain sis, may God Almighty continues to protect you and your family.

It cost me $175 with discount. There are lots of training institutions offering this course online so you need to check them and go with what seems okay by you. But as for me i used Global Language Training, UK

It's not "unnecessary" undecided

When I took my time to read the thread ones again, I was able to understand the OP very well. I'm sorry if I sounded rude.

This pandemic needs to end so that I can go for my NYSC...till then, make I go register for TEFL.

@Whyna, I look forward to more update and I pray God keeps you safe. You're doing well. Oooin

Am seriously in great pains now embarassed embarassed embarassed

I applied to a uni in vietnam for scholarship that closed June.

I drafted and composed sop for my brother and I for this scholarship, I applied for Bachelors degree program for my brother and i, even though I am a graduate.

Luckily after a week they dropped a mail to our different gmail accounts about being qualified for a half tuition scholarship with accommodation but will need to have an interview with us a date was given to me I declined going further for the Skype interview.

I told my bro to pick a date for his interview advised him on his preparation then he did the interview they just dropped a mail this morning about giving him update about the result of the scholarship or interview this week hopefully this week, after I stumbled on this thread I had to rush back to the school to book me for the interview till today bro no replies but laslas looks like I will focus on the work visa for migration since i am a graduate.

Guys update.

The scholarship wasn't awarded to him based on some factors 60 candidates were needed for the admission, i am sure some other graduates just like I did from other developing countries would have also applied for it.

Told him better luck next time..
