Unfortunately, Nigeria is on this earth but not part of this world.

Every time you hear the kind of challenges America , China , Russia ,etc are having , it is either a techno-political war or economic war or just a political war. But Once you hear Nigeria inside, Yepa!!! It's how one person stole $350billion or hushpuppi or snake swallowed NDDC allocation, or boko Haram or mr.woodberry or dogara don join apc or obaseki is not a graduate...

The worst part right now is that here on nairaland, when there's an update on some countries' technological development , instead of some people here to update themselves on what the general implementation and implication of such development could be, you start seeing comments like "Nehemiah 13:14 says that on the last day, China shall develop drones and U.S shall cry foul. Repent for the end is near"... E dey make me want cry because e be like say na only Nigerians get the info say Jesus dey come. Religion don make some people for this country mad but we still dey look am like say no be big deal. China taking superpower would take us back in terms of ethics in reproduction, animal rights, freedom of speech, freedom of press and journalism, Whistle blowing and dissenting voice, upholding of basic fundamental human rights which has been the hallmark of the free world under US leadership! Russia would take us back in the development of human race cos a lot of Russians concerns would first be rebuilding the former USSR which would lead to economic depression and stagnation that Russia has been known for!

I can't be here comparing USA with a broke country that only afford one aircraft carrier. Saying America is scared of Russia is comedy. What does Russia have with relation to America that makes you think they stand a chance?

This is bad. I've always known that that's where AI will end up; full autonomy.

Other countries have railed back the autonomous functionality of their AI controlled technologies due to ethical considerations. Authoritarian regimes have no qualms deploying the tech without oversight.

There'll be a time when the AI will go out of control and wont respond to a kill switch. Then it would kill both friend and foe alike.
