There are just many issues behind hydroxychloroquine use and obviously some of them are politically motivated as he stated.

Most people condemn the drug due to associated toxicity why many believe may cause more harm than good. What they have forgotten is that every drug as it own contraindication, but must just be within a considerable standard.

I would want to believe his claims as true because of the peer-reviewed evidences he provided. However, more studies are still needed and I think future studies should focus on selecting patients with early symptoms for the controlled trials, rather than critically ill patients.
