Make them go sit down. How many chiefs go vote sef?. Some don't have voters card abeg. The only people that will reject you and you loose in Nigeria are Thugs, Nurtw, All them Fulani herdsmen, Market women.. These are the real voters.

But Oshiomole is more desperate.

However, Obaseki is the most desperate politician in the Edo election now.
I can't put figures to the amount he must have spent and the manner he is compelling all Edo civil servant to take oath that they will vote him.

His noise of godfatherism does not work for me. In Nigerian politics, everyone holding a post has those that helped him to get there. And when he gets there he must sure compensate them. It common practice in democracy

This one caught me “We are not children, we can’t be manipulated by politicians. Oshiomhole had his time as governor for eight years, and all Benin people supported him. He should allow Edo people to choose their leader this time, without being hoodwinked,” one of them said.

I remmeber telling Lagos-Ibadan idiots that Benin people will decide when the time comes... They are not fools. I remember telling them that TRIBALISM will be the last card and decider.

Let me educate you, it's either you are Idris Momoh or you're most informed. Either of the two - you're boasted.
Idris is a political writer for Business Day which is an Edo State newspaper.
All he writes about is Obaseki and Edo politics in a Business newspaper. He is on Obaseki's payroll.

All through the article, there is no where that "we reject Oshiomole's plead" was mentioned.

He can't even mention names. Is ' one of them' a name ?

And Oshiomhole first campaigned against godfatherism in 2007. He has bragged about defeating godfatherism inm Edo since he became governor. Is Oshiomhole now endorsing Obaseki?

A monarch can chastise politicians and condemn attitudes in politicians that cause failure of society. But must pray for and bless everyone who visits.

If anyhow has any habit the monarch condemns, they've to change their ways.

“Some of us came for this meeting with Oshiomhole to hear what message he has for us. But I felt embarrassed when he went down on his knees to start begging us to vote for the APC candidate. Oshiomhole said he made a mistake for campaigning for Obaseki in 2016. What is the guarantee that he is not making a worse mistake this time?

It is his purported mistake, not yours, a person has the prerogative to correct his mistakes, if he said Obaseki that he chose was a mistake, then take it as is, the Chiefs know Iyamu is the next Governor of Edo State, Obaseki should go and visit the Chiefs, to tell them what he did for them in the last 4 years.

4 years ago when Obaseki was campaigning was it not this same Oshiomhole that spoke on his behalf, or did the Chiefs no Godwin Obaseki before from anywhere, other than the fact that his grandfather was a traitor to the monarchy?

Obaseki is desperate cos he is directly contesting.
Oshiomohle should not be more desperate than the person he is campaigning for.
That is crying more than the bereaved.
His desperation shows that he is selfish. He wants his candidate to win not cos he love the man or cos the man is the best for the state but cos of his selfish interest. We know that all politicians are selfish, but Adams is just too forward.

kneeling before the chiefs show how desperate Oshomole is. It was a total show of shame from the failed Chairman. I totally agreed with the views of the chiefs. If Osho made mistake in presenting the incumbent Governor, how sure are we he is not making the greatest mistake again? he has had his term of 8years, let him allow Edo people choose their leader come September without interference... my take on this..
