Lol! Way before page 157 I had always said I can't be of help to online investors. Not because I don't want to. But I literally can't.

Today, an online investor walked into my branch with a 2 month complaint. I put a call through to the team responsible at my expense. And she resolved it. And I got a telling off later

You suggested opening with a branch without going in but you decided to go MIA on follow ups to your own suggestion.

I understand your position though, I've read what people have to say in your defence and their reviews of you. So, Godspeed big man!

No. Your duration remains unchanged

For now, you can terminate before your due date without a penalty. There are plans to introduce a 10% penalty though

Thank you very much for this info, that's the only info I couldn't stumble on after skimming through almost 100 pages of the thread.

No laff o. I legit know someone who took a loan July last from Renmoney I believe. Used part to pay her rent and invested with MBA. Today she's almost debt free, new rent money already paid. Debt 90% fully paid and crucially the capital still available. She had alternate source of income and topped up like hell.

When she showed me the spreadsheet she used in doing her calculations and projections I was left very confuse (and this is me that does most of the data analysis for my branch because of my level of Excel competence)

So yes it's doable with strict discipline.

To correct your earlier impression that I'm not interested in online investors, I hope you understand my position. It's kind of demoralising when you've spent time educating prospect on the products and they eventually go online to invest. Its like you have put in so much effort into the prospect and then when they do make and Investment it doesn't count for you. And appraisals are directly tied to funds you were able to bring in AND keep.

And what's even more worse is when the client then has some issues online and come back to you with complaints which when resolved still don't count for you.

That's by the way. Another set of investors I kind of shy away from are the "minimum capital" investors. They can be a handful! I agree that no investor is more important than the other as itbis the investors that enable us earn salary. But from pure experience, 20m investors (for example) are less likely to scream at you than 360k investors.

Don't misconstrue that as being picky, it's about maximising productivity.

The online platform came on board just before the lockdown. And in that period they have outperformed a lot of branches. So naturally, there's unspoken rivalry which is for the benefit of the entire business as a whole.

So feel free to invest online if it's your most convenient option.

You asked earlier about how to do a branch investment without walking into the branch. So I'd outline that.

1) Fill in the Investment Form (available when requested)
2) get a copy of your VALID government ID (some people have sent in expired ID thinking it won't be detected)
3) Copy of Proof of Payment
4) Passport photograph

Scan and send all of the above to the provided email and you are good to go

it's okay if it works for the person, but I won't advise anybody to take loan to invest.

Go and tell Dangote that he should not take a loan to invest lol. Oh you think dangote uses his money to build refinery, he took loans tho. And he pays back when he is making the money. All these rich men do take loans to do business. Or why do you think banks gives loans before? It’s left for you to use the loan to do something reasonable things, than use it to buy car! Shikena.

Yes go ahead. They don't send messages after verification, you will only see that you have been verified from your dashboard.

As for the MOU, it will pop up when you want to invest the money you have deposited. You'll only tap 'agree' and then download the MOU via PDF, that's all.
