Latvian League is becoming a Nigerian league. Make no man commit there ooo..so that the door remains open for others to join...

They are doing for the Nigerian academy players what NPFL ought to have been doing for them, that is showcasing the talents in our academies in a pro league. I am so happy better European leagues are already beaming their searchlights their(Latvia, Lithuania) already to pluck them

Valencia have enquired about Chukwueze according to villarrealusa.com. The club value the player at €40M but have set his starting price at €25M because of the economic situation caused by coronavirus.

In Spain, Valencia is just a little more consistent that Villarreal for me. There is almost no difference. European Cup teams. Though Valencia rubs shoulders with the big boys in CL.

Getafe President, Angel Torres has confirmed that they 'will return Etebo to his club', meaning the player would not feature in the Europa against Inter.

The club had a buy-out fee but have not exercised that option. Etebo in currently in Nigeria on leave to bury his late father.

If they buy him, he will be a direct replacement for Ferran Torres who they are reportedly selling for 25M also.
But Chukwueze is easily better than Torres.

Does not matter if Chuks was better or not, Valencia is an improvement on Villarreal, despite their disappointing run this season. They are a traditional Spanish club and it is a better platform for Chukz to horn his skills bkus they are more consistent

You don't get me. It's a good deal for Valencia and Samuel but Valencia would not want to reinvest the same amount they sold a player to sign his replacement even though that player is an upgrade.

Picking a poor Etebo ahead of a better Eze while both were in the Championship was one of the reasons I wanted Rohr sacked, and that was the major reason England had the chance to give Eze a call up to their U20s to put us in this situation.

Oh alright bro, but if they were wise and wanted to turn their fortunes around, they would see it as a smart business since Chuks is better and costs less than he probably should. Ambitious teams sell players to buy just a player(an upgrade on the sold ones) remember?

By the way, they knew these things prior the enquiry. They just might be looking for an upgrade on Torres

Oliver Connolly, a staff writer for Liverpool official website, recommended Jamilu Collins as a bargain signing for Liverpool. He assessed players from each league outside England and sees Jamilu as number one option from the Bundesliga.

This komekn is really something else

How can someone say that the championship is better than the eredivise

Yes, l agree with you.

How can anyone say the Championship is better than the Eredivise. They would need to have first hand insight, experiential knowledge and understanding. To make such a claim.

Because l did not say the Eredivisie is better than the Championship.

However, Florian Jozefzoon who has played for both Ajax and PSV as well as Brentford and now Derby County from his personal experience his conclusion is that the Championship is better.

It's interesting to notice that the Manager of Derby is Philip Cocu, who has been a manager at PSV for 5 years.

That brings up another issue the quality of Manager in the Championship. Once again it's not totally dominated by English Managers. But some very high level top quality managers such as Marco Bielsa, Rafa Benitez, etc.

I really do not know of any other 2nd tier league that can attract so many World class managers.

I'm overjoyed by the rise of Victor Osimhen. I spent hours following Amunike's team's buildup to the tournaments (AFCON and WC) and had to stay awake watching all seven matches.
Also credit to Gernot Rohr for building a platform for our players to excel abroad based on national team invitation by club performance.
Gone are the days when lousy players and benchwarmers donned the national colours with strut and swagger. Some even had the illusion that national shirts were their birthrights.

Perfect Fit.
TheLoneCitizen:

Of all the clubs Osimhen could have stepped up to, Napoli is the best to move to.

1. They are an 'almost big' club. This means they are a big club but not World class like Juve, Inter or Milan. So there would not be too much pressure on him to quickly perform.

2. Napoli average the highest possession in Italy with 57.24%. This means they are always guaranteed to be in the front foot. In comparison, Lille averaged 51.7%, while Real Madrid 56.5%

3. Napoli average the third most shots attempts per game in the whole of Europe. Only behind Atalanta and Mancity. This means not only do they keep the ball, they are attack minded.

4. Napoli have the 5th best passing accuracy in the whole of Europe, only behind Juventus, Man City, PSG and Barcelona. This means that Osimhen is guaranteed quality service from teammate.

5. They stick to their system. Sarri, Ancelotti and Gattuso have managed Napoli, yet for they last 3 system, they've stuck to this system.

6. Napoli are renowned for producing proven goalscorers. Hamsik, Maradona, Higuain and Cavani have graced the club. So Osimhen is promised stardom.

That was why I made this statement when I learnt of the move.

TheLoneCitizen:
Since I couldn't find competitive stats for Haaland, I decided to pitch Osimhen against the best young strikers in the world. Rashford has played more games on the wings and doesn't qualify.

Osimhen is the youngest of the six which are Mbappe, Lautaro Martinez, Gabriel Jesus, Timo Werner and Moussa Dembele. League stats only.

Goal contribution per minute ratio: Osimhen ranks 5th best in this aspect. Better than only Martinez. Werner is on another level here.

Importance to Team
Rating: How does the player rate among teammates?
Timo Werner and Osimhen are the only ones that are rated the best in their team, the rest have at least one player better than them.

Goal contribution Percentage: How much goal responsibility is the striker shouldering for his team?
Osimhen absolutely smashes it here. His team has scored just 35 goals and he has contributed 17, which is almost half of the team's goal. He is followed closely by Timo.

First goal: This is important because some players score when their team is leading, others score to equalize. But the opener/first goal in a match is very important because it determines where the momentum will fall.
Martinez has scored 8 openers in just 20 games, followed by Osimhen's 9 in 25,then Werner's 9 in 29.

Holding On To the Ball: How well does a player hold up the ball before opponent pounce. Osimhen is the 3rd hardest player to disposesss behind Werner and Mbappe.

MOTM Awards: This is important because some players rack up stats over poor performances. A player might be scoring but not playing well.
Osimhen ranks 3rd with 4 MOTM, behind Werner(10) and Mbappe(6)

Defensive Contribution - Pressure: How much times has the striker pressured opponents to make decisions. Osimhen is nightmare to defenders always keeping them on their toes with 439 presses, followed by Martinez (385) and Werner(380)

STRIKING ABILITIES
Finishing: How much of the player's shot troubles the keeper?
Osimhen is the worst of the six when it comes to finishing, more than half of his shots won't trouble GKs. Jesus, Werner & Mbappe are most accurate.

Expected Goals: How much goal has the striker scored compared to what his chances?
Werner turns stone to bread here. He is supposed to have scored 20 goals but has 25, followed by Dembele who turned 11 goals into 16. Jesus wasted 3.2 goals followed by Osimhen who threw 2 goals away.

Aerial Prowess: How much headers do they win?
Osimhen is almost two times better than the next player, Moussa Dembele.

Osimhen comes out 3rd in this stats even though he plays in an average team. Bring on the Haaland.
