What about your discrimination?

13. Our unity. We are globally united in our beliefs. (1 Corinthians 1:10) We also work hard to have no social, ethnic, racial, or class divisions. (Acts 10:34, 35; James 2:4) Our unity allows for personal choice, though. Each Witness makes decisions in harmony with his or her own Bible-trained conscience.— Romans 14:1-4; Hebrews 5:14.
.
14. Our conduct. We strive to show unselfish love in all our actions. (John 13:34, 35) We avoid practices that displease God, including the misuse of blood by taking blood transfusions. (Acts 15:28, 29; Galatians 5:19-21) We are peaceful and do not participate in warfare. (Matthew 5:9; Isaiah 2:4) We respect the government where we live and obey its laws as long as these do not call on us to disobey God’s laws.— Matthew 22:21; Acts 5:29.
.
15. Our relationships with others. Jesus commanded: “You must love your neighbor as yourself.” He also said that Christians “are no part of the world.” ( Matthew 22:39; John 17:16) So we try to “work what is good toward all,” yet we remain strictly neutral in political affairs and avoid affiliation with other religions. (Galatians 6:10; 2 Corinthians 6:14) However, we respect the choices that others make in such matters.— Romans 14:12. If you have further questions about the beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses, you can read more about us on our website.

You may ask questions. I'll only answer civil questions.

Do you even know what the Bible teach about speaking in tongues?

Do you think all this gibberish that pastors says all in the name if speaking in tongues is right.

The Bible teach that if you are speaking in tongue and there is no interpreter it's better to keep shut cos u are just mumbling rubbish cos no one understands u.

Any church I go and I see a pastor speak in tongues with a microphone, that will be the last day I go to that church.
u re right and wrong...bt dey don't allow it at all even in ur closet...what of teaching of d holy spirit nkot

Your number one is half-truth. The name is Jehovah according to your translation of the Bible, nothing more.

We as Jehovah’s Witnesses adhere to the form of Christianity that Jesus taught and that his apostles practiced. This article summarizes our basic beliefs.
.
1. God. We worship the one true and Almighty God, the Creator 'who has a name', and whose name is Jehovah. (Psalm 83:18; Revelation 4: 11) He is the God of Abraham, Moses, and Jesus.—Exodus 3:6; 32:11; John 20:17.
.
2. Bible. We recognize the Bible as God’s inspired message to humans. (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16) We base our beliefs on all 66 of its books, which include both the “Old Testament” and the “New Testament.” Professor Jason D. BeDuhn aptly described it when he wrote that Jehovah’s Witnesses built “their system of belief and practice from the raw material of the Bible without predetermining what was to be found there.” * While we accept the entire Bible, we are not fundamentalists. We recognize that parts of the Bible are written in figurative or symbolic language and are not to be understood literally. —Revelation 1:1.
.
3. Jesus. We follow the teachings and example of Jesus Christ and honor him as our Savior and as the Son of God. (Matthew 20:28; Acts 5:31) Thus, we are Christians. (Acts 11:26) However, we have learned from the Bible that Jesus is not Almighty God and that there is no Scriptural basis for the Trinity doctrine.—John 14:28.
.
4. The Kingdom of God. This is a real government in heaven, not a condition in the hearts of Christians. It will replace human governments and accomplish God’s purpose for the earth. (Daniel 2:44; Matthew 6:9, 10) It will take these actions soon, for Bible prophecy indicates that we are living in “ the last days.”—2 Timothy 3:1-5; Matthew 24:3-14. Jesus is the King of God’s Kingdom in heaven. He began ruling in 1914.—Revelation 11:15.
.
5. Salvation. Deliverance from sin and death is possible through the ransom sacrifice of Jesus. (Matthew 20:28; Acts 4:12) To benefit from that sacrifice, people must not only exercise faith in Jesus but also change their course of life and get baptized. (Matthew 28:19, 20; John 3:16; Acts 3:19, 20) A person’s works prove that his faith is alive. (James 2:24, 26) However, salvation cannot be earned—it comes through “the undeserved kindness of God.”—Galatians 2:16, 21.
.
6. Heaven. Jehovah God, Jesus Christ, and the faithful angels reside in the spirit realm. * (Psalm 103:19-21; Acts 7:55) A relatively small number of people—144,000—will be resurrected to life in heaven to rule with Jesus in the Kingdom.—Daniel 7:27; 2 Timothy 2:12; Revelation 5:9, 10; 14:1, 3.
.
7. Earth. God created the earth to be mankind’s eternal home. (Psalm 104:5; 115:16; Ecclesiastes 1:4) God will bless obedient people with perfect health and everlasting life in an earthly paradise. Of course, it was his original purpose while creating man.—Psalm 37:11, 34.
.
8. Evil and suffering. These began when one of God’s angels rebelled. (John 8:44) This angel, who after his rebellion was called “Satan” and “Devil,” persuaded the first human couple to join him, and the consequences have been disastrous for their descendants. ( Genesis 3:1-6; Romans 5:12) In order to settle the moral issues raised by Satan, God has 'allowed' evil and suffering, but He will not permit them to continue forever.
.
9. Death. People who die pass out of existence. (Psalm 146:4; Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10) They do not suffer in a fiery hell of torment. God will bring billions back from death by means of a resurrection. (Acts 24:15) However, those who refuse to learn God’s ways after being raised to life will be destroyed forever with no hope of a resurrection.— Revelation 20:14, 15.
.
10. Family. We adhere to God’s original standard of marriage as the union of one man and one woman, with sexual immorality being the only valid basis for divorce. (Matthew 19:4-9) We are convinced that the wisdom found in the Bible helps families to succeed.—Ephesians 5:22–6:1.
.
11. Our worship. We do not venerate the cross or any other images. (Deuteronomy 4:15-19; 1 John 5:21) Key aspects of our worship include the following: Praying to God.—Philippians 4:6. Reading and studying the Bible.—Psalm 1:1-3. Meditating on what we learn from the Bible.—Psalm 77:12. Meeting together to pray, study the Bible, sing, express our faith, and encourage fellow Witnesses and others.— Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 10:23-25. Preaching the “good news of the Kingdom.”—Matthew 24:14. Helping those in need.—James 2:14-17. Constructing and maintaining Kingdom Halls and other facilities used to further our worldwide Bible educational work.— Psalm 127:1. Sharing in disaster relief.—Acts 11:27-30.
.
12. Our organization. We are organized into congregations, each of which is overseen by a body of elders. However, the elders do not form a clergy class, and they are unsalaried. (Matthew 10:8; 23:cool We do not practice tithing, and no collections are ever taken at our meetings. (2 Corinthians 9:7) All our activities are supported by anonymous donations. The Governing Body, a small group of mature Christians who serve at our world headquarters, provides direction for Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide.— Matthew 24:45.

Seriously, we don't need all these different denominational doctrines arguments as Christians. If you don't have Love for God and your neighbours, you are wasting your fucking time even if your church has the best practices. ..

Right.

You also forgot to mention that you believe that the Catholic Church is the _Whore of Babylon mentioned in the Bible.

You also believe that Jesus is archangel Michael and not God.

You also believe that only 144,000 people will go to heaven and the rest will stay on Earth.

I disagree with your teachings..Jesus is God trapped in humanity. In order for us to be saved God had to come down in form of a man to save man. Man lacked true knowledge of God that was why Jesus had to come to unveil the father. When the bible says Jesus is the son of God it doesnt mean God gave birth to Jesus or has a carnal knowledge of a woman...Nooo..He is called the son of God because Jesus became a man to save man. Jesus is God compressed in mortality, trapped in matter, time. When deity becomes trapped in humanity, the almagamation of deity with humanity is called son of God. It is not son of God as in natural birth.
John 1 vs 12
Bornagain is the almagation of deity with humanity
There are so many other things you should unlearn and relearn
God bless u

I admire your post and the way and manner you answer questions. I have always being one with an open mind when it comes to religion, though being brought up in a catholic faith family. My travels, experience and education has made me more accommodating in respecting other beliefs.

I have always being fascinated about JW's teachings as it relates to life after death, the existence of heaven or hell, the observation of certain Christian holidays like Easter, Christmas etc etc. I am always open to learn more.
I am one of jehovah's witnesses. I would love to discuss more with u from the scriptures. My number 08165630449 call and whatsapp. Waiting to hear from you.

I am not a JW member. But I always wonder why other Christians hate JW this bad.

Most of the Bible teaching I knw today was from my book of Bible story authored by JW.

I also read awake a lot cos is very educative. And they give you this awake and other literature free of charge and only ask you to donate voluntarily.

Can you imagine my friend went to buy this redeem church prayer book where the price is boldly written to be 1000 naira and they were selling it for 1200 naira. Inside the church Oooo. Not on the street or in a bookshop. It was right inside the church.

IkpuNnegiEwu44:
You people are not CHRISTIANS!

Muslims and JW are the same, they reject the Godship of Jesus and see him as prophet.

Bros, your own Bible says Jesus Christ is a prophet. Deal with it. Or quarrel against your Bible.

Bible > Deuteronomy > Chapter 18 > Verse 15
◄ Deuteronomy 18:15 ► (Acts 3:22)

Yahweh your God will raise up to you a prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him.

Matthew 21:11
The crowds replied, "This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee."

Luke 7:16
A sense of awe swept over all of them, and they glorified God. "A great prophet has appeared among us!" they said."

Luke 24:19
"What things?" He asked. "The events involving Jesus of Nazareth," they answered. "This man was a prophet, powerful in speech and action before God and all the people.

John 4:19
"Sir," the woman said, "I see that You are a prophet.

John 9:17
So once again they asked the man who had been blind, "What do you say about Him, since it was your eyes He opened?" "He is a prophet," the man replied.

Acts 3:22
For Moses said, 'Yahweh your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to Him in everything He tells you."

It is not what people called Him that makes Him whom He really is. Sometimes our first encounter with something can make us give it different names. It is what He calls Himself or what those that were filled with the Holy Spirit calls Him, that determines who He really is.

You have sincerely listed your believes like many other churches we have today. Many of which their doctrines, teaching and practices are different from the early church as enumerated in Acts of the Apostles.

Let me also state that God will not assess you now and during judgement base on group belief, church belief, amily belief etc but as individual. Your believe and your way of life.

So please when you read and consume general saying, go to your secret place in prayer for God to reveal himself to you. Mind you, do not always go before God with pre-thoughts, pre-knowledge or past experience. Seek Him with open mind.

This my personal understanding.

Yes, God is Jehovah different from Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit. Please I am not trying to prove Trinity. I can't proof anything than what I know and have experienced and not what someone told me to believe.

I have never seen God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit before but I have experienced them.

One I believe God created the universe.
Jesus Christ sacrifice Himself for my sin.
Holy Spirit leads, convince, and convict me daily in my heart with the knowledge of the word of God only.

When I get to heaven, I will ask God about other believes such as Trinity.

Let us check Bible very well both the version of Jehovah witness and Christian.

Almost all the pages of the Bible spoke about salvation right from the fall of man in the garden of Eden in Genesis to Revelation. Please read it with open mind asking God to illuminate your mind.

That Salvation came through JESUS CHRIST.

Rom.5.6 - When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.

Rom.5.7 - Now, no one is likely to die for a good person, though someone might be willing to die for a person who is especially good.

Rom.5.8 - But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

Rom.5.9 - And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God's judgment.

Rom.5.10 - For since we were restored to friendship with God by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be delivered from eternal punishment by his life.

God Chose Him (Jesus Christ for this purpose). The main reason why He was not born the natural way of sex. He is not just any man. There's no man like Him. It is for a purpose. My salvation.

God personally approves Him. Jesus also confirms it personally.

So when you are claiming you love Jehovah God and be little His provision for you. You make God's provision of Jesus Christ as a part of your source of salvation and deliverance. No. Jesus is not a part. He is a whole, complete and total. You can't add any other thing to Him.

This is like neglecting President's minister or ambassador and claim to respect, love and serving the President. A right President will not give you any audience because you have not respect him through his minister.

Jesus is the real Matter. If you miss Him, you missed Jehovah.

Check Jehovah or God's verdict on Him below.

Matt.3.17 - And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Matt.17.5 - But even as he said it, a bright cloud came over them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my beloved Son, and I am fully pleased with him. Listen to him."

Mark.1.11 - And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Luke.3.22 - And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

Jehovah or God says LISTEN TO JESUS CHRIST.

See Jesus Verdict below

John.14.6 - Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

John.14.7 - If you had known who I am, then you would have known who my Father is. From now on you know him and have seen him!"

John.14.9 - Jesus replied, "Philip, don't you even yet know who I am, even after all the time I have been with you? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking to see him?

John.14.10 - Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I say are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me.

John.14.12 - "The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

Jesus says you cannot get to Jehovah or God except through Him. Jehovah says Listen to Him. You better listen now and seek God sincerely in Christ only way.

See Peter's Testimony. The first disciple and the most senior Apostle of Jesus.

2Pet.1.17 - For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

No church today knows better than Peter.

Jesus loves you all. Let us release ourself to Him and enjoy the total and complete provisions of God Jehovah for us.

Shalom

I am not a JW member. But I always wonder why other Christians hate JW this bad.

Most of the Bible teaching I knw today was from my book of Bible story authored by JW.

I also read awake a lot cos is very educative. And they give you this awake and other literature free of charge and only ask you to donate voluntarily.

Can you imagine my friend went to buy this redeem church prayer book where the price is boldly written to be 1000 naira and they were selling it for 1200 naira. Inside the church Oooo. Not on the street or in a bookshop. It was right inside the church.
on dis u get right ...even der mode of service very simplicity and well sound and knowledge with bible teaching.. Bt my other question... Re we serving dsame God..

how can Jesus be God, when he conspicuously admitted in the Bible that he is not God,

In the book of mark, a man work unto Jesus and asked him, Good teacher what can I do to inherit eternal life, Jesus answered him and say, why do you call me good, no one is good except God alone, there are many verses in the Bible where Jesus admitted he is not God but son of man...

Think, how can God impregnated a virgin Mary and come out from her puna grin as man only for the romans to nailed him 'God' on the cross and crying to to whom, to himself, expressing regret, why art thou forsaken me'...

It is highly ridiculous..
GBAM! GBAM!! GBAM!!!
Gbamstically true, but only the rightly guided will understand and believe.

Agreed that blood is life.

But Acts 15: 28-29 and Galatians 5: 19-21 do not speak against blood transfusion.
Acts 15:28-29 says "That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled things..." Note clearly "idols". How does that translate to blood transfusion? The bible clearly here is talking about food offered to idols. Same thing the bible tells us in Revelations 2: 14, 20 among others as Christians.

Please can you read through it with understanding and explain how blood transfusion is connected to this?

I've read from your post that jesus is not God, then who is the word of God,if it is jesus then go to john 1vs1 and read the formular of creation. "In the begining was the word and the word was with God and the word was God"

John 1:1 Jesus "the Word", is the spokesman for his Father, Hebrew 1:1-2.
John 17:17 your word (God's speech, utterances, instructions, command) is truth.

In John 1:1, Jesus is not God's speech or utterances, the trinitarian claim is FALSE.

John 17:3 is Jesus the one true God?
Jesus confessed he is not the true God.
Therefore, John 1:1 is not proof of Trinity.

Happy Sunday to all Nairalanders. We should always emulate Christ-like lifestyle. Not based on what your pastor is teaching/preaching to you.

Please be a brother's keeper. Help a brother who is presently negotiating between life and death.

"Honestly I have lost reasons on why I should continue to stay alive. I can't continue again except there's an
intervention in form of help that should come my way. It's unfortunate but I can't continue like this again".

Good morning all, I made the above post yesterday and Nairalanders being kind hearted people have quoted the post with so much words of encouragement and also discouraging me from taking any nasty decision. Truthfully speaking, I really need help and it's to start up something to help myself having not been able to secure a job as a graduate. I want to start a poultry farm having had experience about it. My challenge now is raising capital like up to 100 or 150k. Please I'll really appreciate any contributions from anyone towards achieving this. I understand you have your own problems that need finances, but please be of assistance to me. This is just a way to help myself and younger ones looking up to me. It will me out of the present depression and suicidal thoughts. Frankly speaking, I can't continue with my present state. I need some changes in my life. Thank you very much.

Jesus commanded: “You must love your neighbour as yourself.” He also said that Christians “are no part of the world.” ( Matthew 22:39; John 17:16) So we try to “work what is good toward all,” yet we remain strictly neutral in political affairs and avoid affiliation with other religions. (Galatians 6:10; 2 Corinthians 6:14) However, we respect the choices that others make in such matters.— Romans 14:12. If you have further questions about the beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses, you can read more about us on our website.
.
You may ask questions. I'll only answer civil questions.

However, those who refuse to learn God’s ways after being raised to life will be destroyed forever with no hope of a resurrection.— Revelation 20:14, 15.

This passage you quoted about death, it didn't say those that refuse to obey again will be condemned. Instead, it says, they will be judged based on what they did while they where alive. That is, the book of life will be checked if their name is not found there, they will be cast into the lake of fire.

is talking about "love" bt my question isn't answer ...let me add dis to it..dey don't allow dere children's to marry other denominations?

1cor 13vs 8-10
Love never fails. But if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away with. 9 For we have partial knowledge and we prophesy partially, 10 but when what is complete comes, what is partial will be done away with.

It made mention of "if" there are tongues, they will cease or stopped.

Then your 2nd question, it's of no use putting 2 unlike terms in a marriage. When you have different religious beliefs how do you think the marriage will work? And most importantly 1cor 7vs 39 encourages everyone to marry only in the lord.
