Proper intercourse (not oral or anal) between a married couple (male and female- not gay or les) on sabbath day is not a sin so long you leave time for God. Though sex before approaching God's presence may weaken your spirit and energize your flesh but it's not a sin. If you died on top/under ur wife/husband on the Sabbath day, it doesn't stop you from making heaven if you lived holy.

However, intercourse with any other person than your spouse on Sabbath or non-sabbath day is a sin no matter the place, time, person, season or reason.

You said couples... So it means they are married and it's normal. Sex in marriage is not bound by any laws because it's always legal.

My Dear, The Bible Is Silent About Sex Before Worship Or The Other Way Round. There Are Somethings One Will Do, Lawyers Will Say It Is Not Known By Law. Which Means The Offender Of Such Is Free In The Eye Of The Law. I Think It Is Good To Worship Jehovah Before Sex. But, The Body And Spirit Tend To Be Weak After Sex. That Contributes To People Sleeping While The Service Is On. NOTE: SABBATH OF THE LORD is not sunday, It Is Saturday.

I remember my days in church, one lovely Sunday morning babe decide to pay me a visit on a sunday! Na so I change my mind I no go church, I dey on top this girl when church matron call my phone, na him I fall sickness change my voice..
