We as Jehovah’s Witnesses adhere to the form of Christianity that Jesus taught and that his apostles practiced. This article summarizes our basic beliefs.
.
1. God. We worship the one true and Almighty God, the Creator 'who has a name', and whose name is Jehovah. (Psalm 83:18; Revelation 4: 11) He is the God of Abraham, Moses, and Jesus.—Exodus 3:6; 32:11; John 20:17.
.
2. Bible. We recognize the Bible as God’s inspired message to humans. (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16) We base our beliefs on all 66 of its books, which include both the “Old Testament” and the “New Testament.” Professor Jason D. BeDuhn aptly described it when he wrote that Jehovah’s Witnesses built “their system of belief and practice from the raw material of the Bible without predetermining what was to be found there.” * While we accept the entire Bible, we are not fundamentalists. We recognize that parts of the Bible are written in figurative or symbolic language and are not to be understood literally. —Revelation 1:1.
.
3. Jesus. We follow the teachings and example of Jesus Christ and honor him as our Savior and as the Son of God. (Matthew 20:28; Acts 5:31) Thus, we are Christians. (Acts 11:26) However, we have learned from the Bible that Jesus is not Almighty God and that there is no Scriptural basis for the Trinity doctrine.—John 14:28.
.
4. The Kingdom of God. This is a real government in heaven, not a condition in the hearts of Christians. It will replace human governments and accomplish God’s purpose for the earth. (Daniel 2:44; Matthew 6:9, 10) It will take these actions soon, for Bible prophecy indicates that we are living in “ the last days.”—2 Timothy 3:1-5; Matthew 24:3-14. Jesus is the King of God’s Kingdom in heaven. He began ruling in 1914.—Revelation 11:15.
.
5. Salvation. Deliverance from sin and death is possible through the ransom sacrifice of Jesus. (Matthew 20:28; Acts 4:12) To benefit from that sacrifice, people must not only exercise faith in Jesus but also change their course of life and get baptized. (Matthew 28:19, 20; John 3:16; Acts 3:19, 20) A person’s works prove that his faith is alive. (James 2:24, 26) However, salvation cannot be earned—it comes through “the undeserved kindness of God.”—Galatians 2:16, 21.
.
6. Heaven. Jehovah God, Jesus Christ, and the faithful angels reside in the spirit realm. * (Psalm 103:19-21; Acts 7:55) A relatively small number of people—144,000—will be resurrected to life in heaven to rule with Jesus in the Kingdom.—Daniel 7:27; 2 Timothy 2:12; Revelation 5:9, 10; 14:1, 3.
.
7. Earth. God created the earth to be mankind’s eternal home. (Psalm 104:5; 115:16; Ecclesiastes 1:4) God will bless obedient people with perfect health and everlasting life in an earthly paradise. Of course, it was his original purpose while creating man.—Psalm 37:11, 34.
.
8. Evil and suffering. These began when one of God’s angels rebelled. (John 8:44) This angel, who after his rebellion was called “Satan” and “Devil,” persuaded the first human couple to join him, and the consequences have been disastrous for their descendants. ( Genesis 3:1-6; Romans 5:12) In order to settle the moral issues raised by Satan, God has 'allowed' evil and suffering, but He will not permit them to continue forever.
.
9. Death. People who die pass out of existence. (Psalm 146:4; Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10) They do not suffer in a fiery hell of torment. God will bring billions back from death by means of a resurrection. (Acts 24:15) However, those who refuse to learn God’s ways after being raised to life will be destroyed forever with no hope of a resurrection.— Revelation 20:14, 15.
.
10. Family. We adhere to God’s original standard of marriage as the union of one man and one woman, with sexual immorality being the only valid basis for divorce. (Matthew 19:4-9) We are convinced that the wisdom found in the Bible helps families to succeed.—Ephesians 5:22–6:1.
.
11. Our worship. We do not venerate the cross or any other images. (Deuteronomy 4:15-19; 1 John 5:21) Key aspects of our worship include the following: Praying to God.—Philippians 4:6. Reading and studying the Bible.—Psalm 1:1-3. Meditating on what we learn from the Bible.—Psalm 77:12. Meeting together to pray, study the Bible, sing, express our faith, and encourage fellow Witnesses and others.— Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 10:23-25. Preaching the “good news of the Kingdom.”—Matthew 24:14. Helping those in need.—James 2:14-17. Constructing and maintaining Kingdom Halls and other facilities used to further our worldwide Bible educational work.— Psalm 127:1. Sharing in disaster relief.—Acts 11:27-30.
.
12. Our organization. We are organized into congregations, each of which is overseen by a body of elders. However, the elders do not form a clergy class, and they are unsalaried. (Matthew 10:8; 23:cool We do not practice tithing, and no collections are ever taken at our meetings. (2 Corinthians 9:7) All our activities are supported by anonymous donations. The Governing Body, a small group of mature Christians who serve at our world headquarters, provides direction for Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide.— Matthew 24:45.

Lmao. Surprisingly I did this too, I will still do it if they try to PREACH to me. I will also do it to any other christian that tries to preach to me, so it isn’t a personal bias against them.

As long as they stay away from me, we are all fine. After all, if we were born somewhere else, we would probably be practicing Hinduism or Buddhism and we would think it is perfect.

Why would someone preach to you if you've received Christ and living according to biblical principles?

Its a privilege to be born in a christian home. Salvation is near you. Being born again is the best thing that can happen to anyone.
We are never ashamed to say we belong to Him, seeing He isn't ashamed to call us His brethren.

They behave like a cult
A gathering that believe they are superior to others
They don't like hearing about other religions
They behave violently if you decide to leave
The issue of transfusion
They don't practice what they preach, their evangelism is just for promotion purposes so they can grow up the ladder
They only quote Bible verses to suit their narrative, ask them to read further, they fidget

But I like them for their brotherly attitude towards themselves
Dedication, even their toddlers
They don't discriminate, the least can be the first
They are correct about Christmas,

There's nothing that describes JW other than hypocrisy. You claim to be followers of Jesus Christ but most of the hard-line beliefs are not found in the teachings of Jesus Christ. You instruct your members not to accept blood transfusions(my cousin died cause of this) even in emergencies where the person is sure to die without blood, but you can accept transplants, is there any organ in the human body that doesn't have blood inside? Is that based on the teachings of Jesus Christ? All your beliefs are alike in the sense that they have no basis in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Examine them yourself. A Jehovah's witness has no problem dancing to the music of naira Marley where he's only singing vulgar but once you play a worship song by Nathaniel bassey he/she is infuriated but you are a follower of Christ. You guys are just extremists.[/quote]

Can you please list this too
1. If you invite them to your place of worship they won't come unless it's for marriage as the believe you church isn't pure
2. That they believe they and only they serve God and other religions serve devil
3. Only they are honest and trustworthy
4. They have prophecy that the world will end and it never came to pass
5. That their governing body changed doctrine as they seem fit but questioning them means questioning God
6. They don't read other churchs publications but they want you to read theirs
7. They fear church elders than Jesus himself

1. JWs don't worship triune idols of Christendom, daddy G.Os , and we don't pray to triune deities.
Matt6:9 . John 4:23,24. John 17:3. Jesus Christ is our examplar.

2. Jesus Christ is a servant of Jehovah.Acts3:13, Isaiah 43:10-12. Rev3:12-14. 1 Cor 3:23.
3. Jehovah's servants will imitiate their examplar. 1 Corinthians 11:1. 3:23.

4. Jesus disciples made predictions that never came to pass. Luke19:11. God's kingdom did not appear immediately since over 2000years till now.

5. Jehovah himself changed doctrine.
His people offered animals sacrifice in the past, is timlino offering animals sacrifice today?
Your other claim is FALSE.

6. Members of your church and your pastorpreneurs don't welcome JWs to their doorstep too.
Don't be a hypocrite.

7 False.
Hebrew 13:17 is it in your Bible?
It begins and ends with Hebrew 13:17.

Shalom.

I love the organization. Having worshipped 12 years ago, I found it difficult to blend with other religious bodies. JW makes you understand the scripture very well. I have gone to many churches. Majority of the churches are interested in tithe and abusing the purpose of it. Take your time to study the bible from Genesis to Revelation. You can do it daily by taking one to two chapters. Then Saturday or Sunday take four chapters. You will understand the bible better but pray before you start. Study it in a quiet environment.

I don’t think you’ve properly understood the notion of properly basic beliefs, Tomislav. You mustn’t equate being properly basic with being indefeasible. Memory beliefs (e.g., “I left the car keys in the dresser”) and perceptual beliefs (e.g., “I see a cat in the backyard”) are, like beliefs grounded in testimony, properly basic but are defeasible, that is to say, they can be mistaken. The fact that my properly basic beliefs may sometimes be false does nothing to remove their proper basicality (that is, I am rational and exhibit no cognitive defect in holding such experientially grounded beliefs non-inferentially). If I become aware of some defeater of one of my Best Wireless Earphones Under 5000
properly basic beliefs, then I must give it up (or find a defeater of the defeater).

So the fact that some testimony is false doesn’t imply that testimonial beliefs are not properly basic beliefs. It only implies that such beliefs are defeasible and are sometimes defeated. I think that the Mormon’s “burning in the bosom” is an example of a false belief which many Mormons hold in a basic way.

By contrast I think that the witness of the Holy Spirit is veridical. Does this imply that “some properly basic beliefs are really more properly basic than others?” No, though adherents of so-called Reformed epistemology would affirm that properly basic beliefs do differ in their degree (the tenacity with which they are held) and depth of ingression (centrality to one’s system of beliefs). For example, my belief that “I have a head” has a greater degree of belief for me than “I left my keys in the dresser,” though both are for me properly basic. What I think you should say is that some properly basic beliefs enjoy greater warrant than others. That is not itself a properly basic belief but is just a matter of what we discover from experience.

The difference between my belief and the Mormon’s beli

Even her siblings hardly call her to know how she is faring. She is a strong girl and doesn't even give a damn about them, she is now a church worker there. Whenever she tells me stories about witnesses and why she left I can't stop laughing (Lol)...... Witnesses love and trust their fellow witness more than their own blood who is a member of another church. That's a fact.

Don't say what you don't know

Did Jesus Christ not know that obedience to God would cost him his life? Hebrew 5:7

Did Abraham not aware that obedience to Jehovah could cost the life of his son Isaac?
Hebrew 11:17-19.

Acts 15:28-28. Acts 5:29. Follow it religiously with faith like Abraham and Jesus Christ.
Is Jesus Christ and Abraham extremists?

Who are you to decide what music is acceptable to JWs?
Do you allow JWs to decide your music?
Don't be a hypocrite

JWs are choosy in our choice of music, we abhor vulgar music.

Your other claims are false.
