Messengers/angels don't necessarily have to mean angels of God. the Bible speaks of the angels of the churches in book of revelation.. meaning the pastors.. a human can be referred to as a messenger.. or even the Holy Spirit who you hate so much and of whom Christ said "I send you another Comforter"... and of course Christ is a messenger sent from God..

Paul said Christ is much better than the angels in the book of Hebrews showing that He isn't an angel.

Moses worshipped Christ at the burning bush. only when God appears does he say take off your shoes for the ground on which you are standing is holy ground..
