Where it requests for the number of any previous visa issued, one might have lost a previous passport with a visa sticker, or otherwise be unable to provide it.
It could be construed as a very indirect way of eliciting information as to a previous refusal, but if so, its unnecessary, because of course all applicants are automatically checked in the VIS database and they can immediately find out about an applicant's Schengen visa history if any.

The Schengen visa form does not ask about previous refusals of either Schengen visas or those of any other country.

I want to invite my mum over for omugwo, as my girlfriend will be giving birth very soon here in Germany. Now I want to ask if i apply for a schengen visit visa for say 2 weeks. Is it likely they issue her the standard 90days visa or they will give her the number of days she claim She wants to spend.

I already got a guarantor's form from the Aliens authority in my City, and on this form is written that my mom can stay for a duration of 90 days but my fear is the german embassy in Nigeria might not give her up to 90 days as she has claimed in her application that she only wants to spend 2 weeks.

What can I do to secure a longer duration cos I heard they sometimes give 10days, 21 days etc and not 90 days which is standard. And I'm afraid if she tells them she's coming for omugwo, they might reject.

The information on the embassy's website is clear. You must come to Lagos to apply if you are not undertaking an official trip or applying for a transit visa. You have to book an appointment first.

U.S. passport holders do not need a visa to enter the Schengen area for stays of up to 90 days, so your children do not need to appear.

If your app is not a complicated case, Germany usually responds within 8 days. All my 3 visas from Germany have been issued in exactly 7 days. So, it’s not a bad sign.

In place of your employment letter/reference, you'd submit your company registration documents and tax clearance. Everything else stays the same.

Is tax clearance certificate compulsory?

I have a company bank account which I'm paying myself income salary every month, Can I use my personal saving account that shows my monthly income every month from my company account to apply?

Is it personal income tax I will apply for from Lirs ?

My lastly questions
Please is Germany have a third party that collect visa application like VFS or we will go to their consulate embassy ?

I Intend for her to stay for at least 80days.

I have gotten the sponsorship letter from my foreign office.

She currently works with the state government.

Do you think they would issue her a visa for that length?
