Why pray before eating, ? Where you afraid the food contained poison or something? Nowhere in God's commandment are you told of such a sin. God is not against anything you eat, neither is He against you celebrating and feasting with others. Relax abeg and enjoy your food well well. Don't forget to ask for more so you can give someone who has none. |

Veiniously: Are you true believer (I mean a born again Christian)? According to the scripture, you pray, give thanks to GOD ALMIGHTY (the CREATOR of the ram) and eat without asking what the ram is for.. that is, whether the ram is for sacrifice to something else other than our one true GOD. "If someone who isn’t a believer asks you home for dinner, accept the invitation if you want to. Eat whatever is offered to you without raising questions of conscience.(But suppose someone tells you, “This meat was offered to an idol.” Don’t eat it, out of consideration for the conscience of the one who told you." —1 Corinthians 10:27-28 1 Like |

Re: I Ate A Ram Have I Sinned? by khia: 1:53am On Aug 03, 2020 |
Kobojunkie: Leviticus 11 1-47 what not to eat, (pig, rabbit, camel, snakes and more). ISAIAH 66 15-17 not to eat.. mice DEUTERONOMY 14, 1-29 what to eat l, (ox, sheep, goat, deer, gazelle, roebuck, beef, antelope and more). MARK 7 15-22..Says whatever goes into a person cannot defile/harm him (untrue) since it enters the stomach and not the heart. Today we know that what a person eats can defile the heart, spiritually and definitely physically. |

khia:I am afraid I have to tell you this. The Old covenant was established by God for the descendants of Jacob(and the foreigners who live in their midst). That covenant ensured that all those outside of those included would receive death-- yes, under the Old Covenant, the promise of Canaan was to the descendants of Jacob, an everlasting Covenant between them and God. khia:The New Covenant that is Jesus Christ however, is the covenant that covenants us gentiles(non-descendants of Jacob) and has laws and promises that apply to all of us who are not covered under the old Covenant and those of the Old Covenant who choose to switch to the New Covenant. That said, both covenants are alive and well and will be for ever. That said, according to the word of God(Jesus Christ) it is not possible to have one foot in the old Covenant and one foot in the New Covenant, so you have to choose one and stick to the letter of the law of the one you have chosen... i.e. you must Obey the commandments. Since I chose the New Covenant, I chose to obey the about 46 commandments that Jesus Christ came to bring to us... And what does Jesus Christ really command as far as eating and drinking? He said it does not matter what you eat, what matters is what you have stored up in your heart because that is what makes you unclean, not what you eat or drink... those cannot make you unclean.

khia:You mean you are Jew? :I You pay your tithe every three year cycles in food-- making sure to eat it during the first two years and giving some of it to the Levites in the third year? Which Levite family is your family attached to? Wow... How do you access shekels to pay your vows and offerings with? Or are you one of this deluded people who somehow believe that Jesus Christ came to make them Jews? News flash... Jesus Christ never said that and neither did God promise to make every nation Jewish through His New Covenant. That is not at all according to anything that God said or Jesus Christ Himself said. Anywho, I believe in Jesus Christ, the New Covernant that God sent to those condemned according to all Nations, including the Jews. |

Kobojunkie: Jesus gave thanks before breaking the bread to feed the multitude. So why say he doesn't need to pray before eating? At least give thanks to God. |

Brachaa:Sure He did when He was to share communion with His followers, but did He do that before every meal or tell us to do so before every other meal? The key, I have found, is not to add or remove. |
Re: I Ate A Ram Have I Sinned? by Nobody: 2:55pm On Aug 03, 2020 |
Kobojunkie: Ha kobojunkie!!! You! So Jesus should have written it all over the Bible for you to know you need to give thanks before a meal? I believe everything he did at every point is an ensample for us to follow. Whether he did it only once or very often. |

Brachaa:Well, as for example, remember when His disciples went into the Field on the Sabbath to eat corn? Well, they did not pray before eating and Jesus Christ never admonished them for going into the fields to forage for food on the Sabbath either. Remember in John 21 when Jesus Christ prepared bread while his disciples were out fishing? There is no mention of Him blessing the food before they are there either. Also the same Jesus Christ said something interesting... He said, it is not what You eat that makes you unclean. So do not go around praying on food as if you expect to be poisoned by it or something. Do not add or remove, in the name of God. We can adopt our little traditions but we need to be clear as to the why and the why has to be in line with God's word and not some lie that we have been fed or told by others. |

Brachaa:You forget that I grew up in the same Nigeria that you live in. But no, the reason I am able to say this now is because it is now God's job to ensure that No weapon, even the one formed against me, will prosper. He lives inside of His followers so He surely would not benefit from having the body He lives in poisoned/made unclean or unholy in any way or form... You can eat anything and it will not harm. He tells you this too. |

Brachaa:wait... What I type there has nothing to do with what I think... I became Possessed by the Spirit of God sometime in October 2017 and yes, it is not a mental thing like many of you assume but an actual possession as in something invades your body, mind and spirit.. Did you know that you can have a conversation with your own spirit? Did you know that the Spirit of God can control your body..say you want to go somewhere or say something he does not want you to do or say, He can essentially stop you by turning your body in the direction He wants you to go instead or He stops your mouth from opening, switches the words out of your mouth, or even stops your voice completely... he can do that and more. If He wants to, He can cause your body to seize so you will not be able to move at all. That is only some of what the Spirit of God can do and does in those who are followers of Jesus Christ. He is not just some tiny voice that you listen to hear...that voice is your old spirit trying to remain relevant. But when you become of God, your spirit is and to talk to you as..have conversations and tell you things. He is real....We are talking about God Himself taking over your life and all I have been talking of, the part you like and the part you don't like is what God says He demands...nothing less will do. When He possess you, He keeps you from all harm all by His own power....no prayer by fire or by midnight and all that occult jazz that many Christians pretend have anything to do with God necessary. |

Re: I Ate A Ram Have I Sinned? by Kobojunkie: 6:25pm On Aug 03, 2020 |
Brachaa:Anyone who is born of the Spirit of God will tell you the exact same thing. It is an invasion of your person..that is what it means to be born again. The day I realized that we humans are in many ways just robots programmed and capable of being remotely controlled by God, I lost my life that day. My eyes were opened to the fact that we are all really nothing in the end but bodies that can be wielded in the hands of good or bad. |
