90% of uber connect is online.

2/3 years ago, partners come here to post about looking 4 drivers, but since most partners here has been bully off nairaland, they find alternative.

Most of the drivers here are like those lazy papa in taxi parks, they sit at park and discourage younger generations.

Look at most of them like Felicity0001 Gentlelife50, they are all above 40, life has hit them so hard, that dey r looking 4 owner's they will take advantage of.

Honestly, u will struggle to get a car here, most owners don't want to associate with drivers from this forum.

Why this unnecessary attack on personalities? Because people disagreed with your 35k weekly remittance?
I advise you take to the streets and drive your car or source for the drivers OFF Nairaland that will remit even 50k weekly.

Or May I ask, have you found drivers OFF nairaland who are remitting 35k already?

The ones that truly attacked me u applaud them, but given a driver that has been searching 4 car since March to quit searching here and look elsewhere is now attack.

My way recently.

Rider: I hope you accept transfer?
Me: No problem. Hope you can wait for alert.
Rider: don't worry you'll get alert.
Me: you can transfer the higher estimate you're seen now, so at the end of the trip, if it's more than the trip fair, I'll balance you up.
Rider: alright call your account number.

From the beginning of this kind of talk, you'll surely know the ones you can trust and the ones you need to be more vigilant with.

If I end trip and you ask me for my account without telling me on time you're making a transfer.

Rider: how much
Me: 2k.

Rider: you'll get it. Why do I have to wait?
Me: experience have thought me something. I'm sorry but you have to wait.

I buy parts from Oyingbo because they deal majorly with Honda and it’s closer to the Island. I have a mechanic I use there, any part I need he takes me to the sellers shop.

Meanwhile, this afternoon police stopped me at Addo road, I was with a rider. When the officer came, I greeted him.

Me: Good afternoon Officer
Officer: Shey Na Uber?
Me: Yes it is
Officer: ......long hiss, abeg they go they go.

Me and my rider had a good laugh grin

When I turn to the left I am beginning to hear that dreaded kikiki sound...it happens when I turn right too but turning left seems worse. Also the steering wobbles and swerves to the right when I let go of it while driving.

Wake up to the reality that many have counted their losses and sold their cars. The days of 30/35k have gone. Any investor that can't do with 25k should drive his cars or sell them. It Isn't the driver's nor car owner's fault, the fares are low now and coupled with traffic. Expecting 35k remittance soon is only a wishful thinking which will end in tears. You can't expect drivers to pay you from their pockets so as to keep up with your 35k.

My advice for You is to adjust your business strategy; if you love earning from ehailing so badly, take to the streets and drive your car yourself, stop investing millions on tokunbo cars for this job again and expecting unrealistic earnings so as to recoup your investment. This ehailing job is vastly becoming owner driver's job. No matter how vociferous you're about 35k, you can only get that in a dream, even if any driver agrees to that, he will fail you.

Again I ask, have you also sought for and found better drivers OFF nairaland who are already paying you 35k? Since nairaland drivers are the problems.

I think Bolt rating is a scam or there’s more to just 20/40 trips thing.
On Sunday my rating dropped from 4.95 to .88, fast forward to yesterday after my fourth trip, it increased to .90

Something must be going on at their backend.

6k for the two sides? If you're referring to the parts, its toks, but the car is Nigerian use and I've been using it now for 1yr5mths with this being the first time I'm experiencing this.

1.5k could still go a long way if I save that and add to labour cost.

Please what's your parts dealer contact?

No, 6k for one side. Guess yours is cheap because it’s a CRV.

Please make sure they use iron clip to secure the shaft booth (that black rubber) instead of rubber clip. Shaft killer is dirt and water

I called the mechanic I have there to help me confirm the price, he said 8k for the two but can be priced down.

10 WAYS POLYTRON IS CUTTING EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE COSTS AND IMPROVING PERFORMANCE

Polytron products are different from any other lubricant or additive, using proprietary metallurgical technology to smooth and harden mating surfaces at microscopic levels to reduce friction and wear by up to 95%.

From industrial machinery to fleet cars, adding Polytron to motor oil or lubricant dramatically improves performance and extends equipment life while slashing fuel, oil and maintenance costs.

Here’s how Polytron does it.
1. Eliminates 95% of Engine and Equipment Wear, Extends Life by 400% To 700%

Polytron’s field-tested technology eliminates the microscopic irregularities which create friction between moving surfaces. By hardening and smoothing mating surfaces, Polytron practically eliminates friction and wear, extending engine life.

2. Keeps Moving Parts Clean of Varnish and Carbon Deposits

Carbon and varnish buildup on valves, pistons and other surfaces is virtually eliminated, slashing maintenance costs and eliminating unexpected downtime due to clogged fuel injectors or sub-optimal engine performance. Fuel system life can be extended by 200%.

3. Extends Oil Service Life and Oil Change Intervals by 300% To 600%

Polytron’s extreme friction reduction technology keeps internal engine parts clean and intact, which reduces the metal particles in motor oil, extending oil life. Longer oil service life means less frequent oil changes, which means you are ordering less oil and spending less staff time on maintenance.

4. Provides Temporary Protection in the Event of Oil or Coolant Loss

By smoothing and hardening mating surfaces to eliminate friction, engines continue to function normally following catastrophic oil or coolant loss, allowing time to self-transport to repair facilities, preventing expensive damage (often leading to equipment replacement) and extended downtime.

5. Lowers Operating Temperature and Fuel Consumption

Carbon buildup affects operating temperature and reduces fuel economy. Polytron keeps engines free of buildup and reduces operating temperatures, cutting fuel costs and helping avoid heat-related damage and breakdowns.

6. Lowers Equipment Maintenance Costs up To 65%

By reducing the need for oil changes, reducing carbon buildup, lowering operating temperatures, eliminating wear and guarding against damage due to oil or coolant loss, Polytron can cut overall maintenance costs by as much as 65%.

7. Makes Combustion Cleaner and More Efficient

Less friction and wear, cooler operating temperatures and no carbon buildup mean efficient combustion and much cleaner emissions. This could mean passing a smog test easier or gaining a competitive advantage if you run a large operation!

8. Maintains High Performance in Severe Conditions of Dust, Dirt, Moisture

By hardening and smoothing mating surfaces at the microscopic level and practically eliminating all friction, Polytron increases efficiency even in enabling the most severe operating environments. This makes Polytron the perfect solution for military equipment, mining equipment and other equipment operating in extreme conditions.

9. Effective in Transmissions, Differentials, Power Steering and More

Polytron can cut costs and improve performance in any equipment requiring lubrication of mating surfaces.

10. Cuts Operating Costs for Fleet Cars, Light and Heavy-Duty Trucks, Marine Vessels, Mining Equipment, Farm Machinery and More

With its ability to improve efficiency through reduced friction and wear, extend oil life, improve fuel economy, reduce maintenance, reduce operating temperatures, produce cleaner emissions, and improve operability in severe environments, you can apply Polytron in virtually any setting and with any equipment.

Certified field studies and signed references continue to pour in to Polytron from around the world verifying the revolutionary performance and dramatic cost reductions we deliver in a wide range of industries.

The rating system uses a FIFO (First In First Out) method, it means when you start driving newly, your rating will remain at 5.00 (default rating) until you're rated 40 times, from then the next rating will push out the first rating and your overall rating will be recalculated.

Bros I will not say U re lying ooo but maybe dats was d info U too were fed with from d Developer or from d Board, but I can tell U dat d info of first 40 trips is wrong.

Wen I started on Taxify, dat tym I was still very naive on Taxify app, so on a faithful Wednesday evening I was at home and I decided to do some evening /night runs, went straight to Luth(Idi araba), grin grin a request came in, my naive self I did not ask of Riders destination. The next convo Happened

Driver: sorry which side re we going

Rider: my mom is d one going, just start the trip

Driver: (started trip) saw Ipaye (after checking Google map I saw dat place is after alakija), I told my rider I can't go that dey shud find anoda ride respectfully.

Ended trip there and zoomed off

B4 getting home my Ratings dropped to 4.41 straight( d rider rated me 1star straight), I just weak and blamed myself for coming out, slept straight up and learned my lesson. ( Next Tym if U had started d trip just end it and click on trip did not happen, no commission loss, no fear of bad Ratings)

So bottom line is dat the app is ready to take ur Ratings down at any instant but for d upward movement self is still first come first serve.( Is easier to go down but very hard to climb up)

Now my Ratings is on 4.9... mind U I Neva for once begged for Ratings from Riders but I make sure riders don't take 5 star from me either.. if U re very very good 4 star, normal is 3 star... Rest 2 and 1 star.

Last last U must be wise and streetwise!!!

Reason I couldn't concentrate then was because I had an issue I was fixing on the car.

I reported to Bolt, I was told that she'll be contacted but until now I have not seen anything, yet Bolt deducted their commission on the Same fare.

Please house, how do I handle this kind of issue? If you can help me call her to please pay me, I'll appreciate it.

Owner - driver battle is a funny battle.

If owners and drivers do nothing find a way to face where the real problem is coming from. Then both sides will lose. However, 20k weekly on 2Million investment is 1% weekly ie 12% per annum.

Sell off your car or convert ur rental to HP.

The problem are the agents.( ie ehailing companies with low fare)

If fare were so good. There wont be a debate on 20k or 40k rental as 40k weekly were paid when fares were good.

The worst is yet to come for those in uber/bolt business if fare keeps crashing to compete with danfo riders cos ehailing companies are looking for every possible way to gain more riders leaving investors and drivers stranded.

They laugh at owners and drivers when they argue over remittance from their offices yet you worship them for job opportunities.

God will save us all from this slavery. ( owners are equally enslaved indirectly. Wise up.

makes no business sense to bring in a car at the current exchange rate, subject it to brutal depreciation in Nigeria's off-road conditions and get paid the pittance uber/bolt are forcing drivers to collect.

the only people making a profit on e-hailing at the moment are the app companies themselves...they are cashing in on us Nigerians' aversion to critical thinking and our greed
