DappaD:This your primary school scope will not work. You are very uncomfortable when someone asks you a question, as it shoves you to the wall. In claiming that Adam and Eve went to the dust, you sounded like that's the end. Hahahahahahaha .... Now I asked you (first!), who will be resurrected? You decided to play hide and seek just like you did in the other thread. I am not one to argue, I go for essence only, yea sir, Essence only! The goal here is to enlighten us on the existence of hell fire and not to give you some bible lessons that will take us nowhere. |
| Re: Is Hellfire Real? by Blabbermouth: 3:38pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
Who are those going to be resurrected? Who are those going to be judged? Any witness in the house... |
| Re: Is Hellfire Real? by DappaD: 3:40pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
Blabbermouth:Until my second question is answered, you can continue in your folly. Peace. |
| Re: Is Hellfire Real? by DappaD: 3:45pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
Blabbermouth:Who told you I can't give you an answer about the resurrection from the Scriptures? That isn't the topic of this thread so I've decided not to answer you on that. So please answer my question that's related to the topic of this thread DappaD:I wonder what makes you think I can't reply your questions. ![]() Just answer mine let's move on. Thanks |
| Re: Is Hellfire Real? by Blabbermouth: 3:49pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
DappaD:Do you derive joy in arguing? Perhaps, in your mind, you are talking to an unlearned Christian that doesn't know anything about the bible. I've seen you chicken out of threads using this same scope, almost like you don't want to concede defeat. Whenever I'm discussing with a Christian, I don't allow my belief to cloud my discernment of truth, please do emulate that too. Okay, I know nothing about the second death. Will you school me please? |
| Re: Is Hellfire Real? by Blabbermouth: 3:50pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
DappaD:Smiles... Alright, school me. |

Blabbermouth:Lol, So feelings and emotions are not part of the divine? then where does sympathy come from? is anger part of the divine or human emotion also? the old testament God was sometimes very angry as well, sometimes he even showed compassion and compared himself to a mother. |
| Re: Is Hellfire Real? by DappaD: 5:13pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
Blabbermouth:Don't get me wrong chief. I'm not here to make you look ignorant or poor in knowledge. No. I appreciate when someone decides to learn as you've shown now. Coming back to the topic on ground, the ‘lake of fire’ in Revelation symbolizes the ‘second death’ – a death from which there can be no resurrection(Revelation 21:8 ) When humans die today, we can call that the ‘first death’ because there is a chance of them being resurrected. But as for the ‘second death’, it means no hope of resurrection — all memory of them is completely wiped out from history (Psalm 9:5, Proverbs 10:7) I can't begin explaining extensively in detail about second death and the resurrection on social media. If you choose to know more, you could shoot me an email. ![]() |

Blabbermouth:I'm following your lecture Sir! But you have one question that's really of high significance here! You said "people don't go to Hellfire until they are judged" DappaD (JW) asked you "Are you saying Adam and Eve haven't been judged yet?" This is the question that will help us all to know what happens to wicked people after judgment because the first and foremost wicked man who ever lived on this planet is Adam, so let's know what happened to him. Is Adam now in Hellfire or awaiting judgment? ![]() |

God's judgment TO DESTROY is not part of his program from the beginning! It wasn't meant for imperfect humans who were misled but for PERFECT beings who had no excuses for not maintaining their position yet willfully decided to rebel against God! That's why God's word said "his will is for all (imperfect humans) to come to repentance" 2Peter 3:9 So it means the impending extermination wasn't meant for humans but for Satan and demons (perfect spirit beings) who willfully disobeyed God! 1Peter 3:19-30, 2Peter 2:4; Jude 6 |

Maximus69:God's judgement to destroy was not part of his program from the beginning? Who fed you that crap? There you have the very word of God Himself (Jesus Christ) telling you the Truth of God, yet you want to instead believe that God is not INVOLVED in this at all? ![]() Matthew 25 vs 31-40 (ESV) |

Maximus69:Brother, there's no need arguing with Kobojunkie any further on that matter. What he/she is saying is that God when he created humans had bad intentions — which isn't what the Scriptures reveal. From all I've noticed, he/she doesn't believe in the other parts of the Bible — but just the gospel accounts of Jesus. |

Daejoyoung:According to Jesus Christ, the New Covenant of God to man(gentiles in particular), those who do not obey Him, will have no share in the promise that the agreement comes with. Niceness and kindness to men is not the measure here but obedience is. Daejoyoung:According to Jesus Christ, the New Covenant, Heaven's immigration policy stipulates that all those who want to enter, be in obedience to the Law of the land in question, Heaven. No matter how previously loved, or nice, or good(by man's measure) a candidate is, if the candidate is not in compliance with the laws of Heaven, entry will be denied. Understand that no human being can will another into Heaven...Pity or love for the candidate cannot force open the gates of Heaven for the candidate. Each candidate is required to make the choice of Heaven for themselves, a choice revealed through their obedience or lack of, towards the New Covenant agreement. |

Kobojunkie:I should be asking you the bolded because Peter clearly stated that God doesn't derive pleasure in destruction! 2Peter 3:9 So try to correlate that with other part of the scriptures instead of isolating a verse as if other parts are irrelevant! By the way i'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses, so who or from where are you learning the gibberish you're spewing as in where can you direct people to learn more. Please spare me the trash that it's God's holy spirit because all the religious groups claiming Christians attributes their teachings to the same holy spirit, so tell me where exactly are you learning what you're saying? ![]() |

Maximus69:WOW.... the words of Peter trump the very word of God? That's a sign! ![]() Maximus69:I don't give a flying fk who you claim to be, so stop repeating that nonsense like it means anything to even me. Even Paul posited on this by saying, "Let Man be a liar and God be true ".... when you read that book, understand who is TRUTH and who is not to be believed or trusted. When you read the word of God, never validate the word of God against the words of a man... you do the opposite instead. Verify your understanding of what you read from the opinion of man, against the word of God. Now again.... According to Jesus Christ... Matthew 25 vs 31-40 (ESV) |

Niceness and kindness to men is not the measure here but obedience is. So wasn't she obeying christ as a good person? what other obedience does christ demand? Kobojunkie: According to Jesus Christ, the New Covenant, Heaven's immigration policy stipulates that all those who want to enter, be in obedience to the Law of the land in question, Heaven. No matter how previously loved, or nice, or good(by man's measure) a candidate is, if the candidate is not in compliance with the laws of Heaven, entry will be denied. Now you are getting me confused. What are these laws of heaven? Understand that no human being can will another into Heaven...Pity or love for the candidate cannot force open the gates of Heaven for the candidate. Each candidate is required to make the choice of Heaven for themselves, a choice revealed through their obedience or lack of, towards the New Covenant agreement. Kobojunkie:Jesus made Peter and the other Apostles the foundation of the Christian faith Sir! Matthew 16:18 So Stop disputing what Peter an Apostle of the Christ said because he understood Jesus' word far much more than a 21th century rebellious person who is not a member of any reputable group of worshipers like you! ![]() |
| Re: Is Hellfire Real? by Kobojunkie: 9:01pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
Maximus69:Wrong, Jesus had Peter and the disciples as His followers.... they were the first, but not the foundation because He, Jesus Christ is the foundation of His Church. And He warned all His followers not to teach any thing different from that which He taught them. Matthew 23 vs 8-12He said He and He alone is your ONLY Teachers. Are you sure you want to instead learn from his student and not from him? ![]() Maximus69:Stop disputing what Peter said? ...LOL Let me guess, in your mind, the student is now suddenly greater than His Master since you would rather go with your understanding of what Peter meant than accept what the Master Himself has said on the issue? If you don't already realize it, well, here goes. If you believe that your understanding of what Peter wrote there is indeed your truth, what you are invariably saying is Jesus Christ, hence God is a liar!. Matthew 25 vs 31-40 (ESV) |

Kobojunkie:Well they're the ones sent to take his teachings to people of all the nations (including you) {Matthew 28:19-20; Act 1:8} You who is now reading a translation that's been tampered with over thousands of years and through countless copying from hand to hand cannot grasp what their teacher taught them directly and face to face in their own mother tongue than them! ![]() He said He and He alone is your ONLY Teachers. Are you sure you want to instead learn from his student and not from him?Peter lived, walked and work with Jesus, he spent years with him, they both ate and drank on the same table, he taught him so many things both verbally, with visions and actions. So when Jesus' teachings becomes difficult to grasp, Peter is in better position to expatiate on what his oga said much more than you Sir! ![]() |

Maximus69:How can you take His Teachings anywhere when you do not even believe that He is indeed the Truth of God? His very words cause you to squirm and you think you do what in His name? ![]() Worse is you do not even trust God to maintain the integrity of His own truth through even the mere hands of man, yet you think yourself the one to do that for Him? Thankfully, God has not left the work of teaching the people in the world in the hands of men such as your person... Oh no, He alone is indeed the one to teach His people about Himself. Jeremiah 31 vs 31-34 (ERV)Jesus Christ only repeated the word of God to you and I in the passage below... Matthew 23 vs 8-12 Maximus69:ROFLMAO!!! The word of God becomes DIFFICULT to grasp? Wow.. who explained the word of God to Peter? Was it not God? So if you think God incapable of explaining His own word directly to you, as He did Peter, what are you doing with such an "Incompetent" being for a God? Matthew 23 vs 8-12If you cannot even IMBIBE His truth without running around to find text to get you the meaning you prefer, what makes you think you are able to speak His truth in anything else? | Re: Is Hellfire Real? by Kobojunkie: 9:43pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
Daejoyoung:The New Covenant that is Jesus Christ is a contract, an agreement that comes to all men, with a light yoke(about 46 commandments in all) and an easy burden(one's own life) to bear, with a promise of eternal life beginning hear on earth and the Kingdom of Heaven afterwards. In order to partake in the agreement, obedience to the commandments is required. First one needs to become a follower of Jesus Christ, to which there is a cost attached. I have isolated about 7 commandments that apply as far as this is concerned, and will post that in another comment. Only those who obey all 7 commandments become born again/followers of Jesus Christ. I don't make up the rules... I am myself a servant who learned that Obedience is indeed the key into the kingdom of God. Daejoyoung:The New Covenant is the new agreement that God makes with man and the agreement contains laws detailing information on who can get into Heaven as well. Daejoyoung:The good works that men do are nothing but filthy rags as far as God is concerned. The only kind of good works that are acceptable in the sight of God, are works dones in obedience of His commandments. Jesus Christ, the man, is the embodiment of the New covenant. His every words, teachings, and life lived etc. all point to the agreement that God promised to us all. If you study His teachings, you will find that Jesus Christ set before us rules on how to live our lives according to what God wants -- those rules constitute the commandments of the New Covenant that is He. His every example... all in obedience of the will of the Father.. is showing us how to live in obedience to the rules/commandments that is the Will of God for us all. |
| Re: Is Hellfire Real? by Kobojunkie: 9:44pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
Daejoyoung, as promised these are the seven commandments one needs to obey in order to become a follower of Jesus Christ.. No one can become a follower of Jesus Christ simply by wishing for it. Jesus required that those who choose to follow Him do the work that He commands they first do. 1. Be prepared to abandon parents, brother, sister, children, spouse, in-laws, e.t.c. 2. Abandon all that you know/believe, have, and all that you are 3. Bear your own burden (not someone else's cross- not even your family's or children's) Matthew 10 vs 34-394. Become a child again in your thinking and your actions Matthew 14 vs 23-245. Be prepared to lose life(reputation, career, control, property, etc.) Matthew 16 vs 24-276. Desire above all to find and enter the Kingdom of God and also walk the path of righteousness, with God as your guide every step 7. Let go of all control you have over your life and circumstances, allowing God to take care of your every need Matthew 6 vs 25-34 |

Kobojunkie:My friend, the Israelites had the scriptures before it was translated to the language you can read after translations from Hebrew to Greek to Latin to French and some other languages before it was finally translated to English after 1500 year in existence! Jesus sent his disciples who were Jews to first go and teach his own Jewish people who can read it in their own mother tongue directly! Matthew 10:3-15 So don't let arrogance becloud your reasoning Sir, you can't understand God's word if someone did not teach you, that's a lie! Apollos was a Jew, he knew about Jesus through the scriptures, he was an eloquent speaker, yet it was Aquila and Priscilla that God used in teaching Apollos what Christianity means! Act 18:24-26 So who do you think you are that you're now bluffing saying God must teach you directly? ![]() |

Kobojunkie:So can someone obey all these laws of christ and yet remain a Muslim or a deist? Don't get me wrong, I agree with you on keeping the commandments of jesus, my post was targeted at the likes of Righteousness, and the guy I quoted. To them, inheriting the kingdom of God is all about confessing a formula, or just believing, and so in that sense those of other Religions can never be followers of christ. Also my arguement was to show the absurdity of the doctrine of hell fire. In my understanding of the bible, there is no everlasting fire where souls remain alive, but rather an everlasting (or age long) fire that completely destroys and brings the age of wickedness (or of satan and demons) to an end. |
| Re: Is Hellfire Real? by Kobojunkie: 10:05pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
Maximus69:keep deluding yourself there.. Your gospels were originally written in greek language, and not hebrew, by the way. If you cannot believe that Jesus Christ words are indeed the Truth of God, what can you believe of Him? Matthew 25 vs 31-40 (ESV)If you have to circumvent His own words in order to get the doctrine you subscribe to, to prevail, then I hate to tell you that you believe a lie and not Jesus Christ. Maximus69:Stop blabbering and learn to focus on the topic at hand! |
| Re: Is Hellfire Real? by Kobojunkie: 10:15pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
Daejoyoung:According to Jesus Christ, He is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. NO ONE comes to the FATHER except through Him. Daejoyoung:Yeah, no one can inherit the kingdom of God without actually obeying the commandments of God. In much the same way God designed His Old covenant with Obedience as the key , He also did the New Covenant, with Obedience still the key. Daejoyoung:On that, I suggest you read it again.. because just as Christ details those who will enter His kingdom (those who obey His commandments) Matthew 25 vs 31-40 (ESV)...He also detailed the fate of those who will not obey Him. But I must confess that I have similar questions as you do, which I have yet to ask Him on the issue of those who do not fit in as sheeps or goats... those who completely reject what He offers. What I currently believe is that they all fall to be judged according to the Old Covenant which by default condemns everyone who is not a descendant of Jacob to death i.e. NO ETERNITY of any kind for them. Matthew 25 vs 31-40 (ESV)But be sure, Hell is indeed a thing, according to Jesus Christ Himself. |
| Re: Is Hellfire Real? by Daejoyoung: 10:24pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
Kobojunkie:The way, the truth, and the life, what does that mean? One says he is a Taoist, loves the philosophy of Confucius( of which many are not harmful)also follows all the commandments of jesus unknowingly but doesn't even call himself a Christian and despises the Christian religions ( Catholicism, Protestantism, etc) would you say this person is following christ? I have nothing against obedience. I am speaking about mere belief in a religion or doctrine, is that what you mean by christ as the way? Matthew 25 speaks of a fire that consumes the enemies of God , it's as simple as that. If you don't think so, then explain your interpretation of the passage, don't just quote it. Fire in the old testament ( as well as in the new) was all about either purification or total destruction. This interpretation of biblical fire as an everlasting hell comes mostly from Greek and Persian religions. Jesus from what I read of him in the gospels simply believed in physical death through fire for the resurrected enemies of God, in a final death where they can no longer rise again, and then a physical kingdom here on earth where he sits on a throne with his 12 disciples governing the 12 tribes of Israel with him. That was the dream, but it didn't turn out that way, at least not immediately like the disciples expected. |
| Re: Is Hellfire Real? by Kobojunkie: 10:39pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
Daejoyoung:The Way to get to God, the Father, is Jesus Christ(The New Covenant). The Truth of God, the Father, is Jesus Christ(The New Covenant), the word of God. The Life(eternal life) that is promised by God, the Father, is Jesus Christ(The New Covenant) Daejoyoung:The way to God isn't through Christian religions like Catholicism or protestantism etc. Those are far away from God from their very foundations. That said, worshipping another master yet unknowingly obeying the commandments of Jesus Christ does not get one to God either. For you cannot worship two masters. Matthew 6 vs 24 (ERV)The Taoist needs to either serve confucius or serve Jesus Christ... not both. Daejoyoung:Mere belief in any doctrines gets one nowhere. I can merely believe myself an intelligent being, but until I put that intelligence to use somewhere, I will only be intelligent in my own mind and I have never met anyone whose mere belief in anything gets them anywhere. That belief needs to be put to work in order for it to mean anything outside of the confines of the mind in question. Same idea here. Daejoyoung:According to Matthew 25, the fire itself burns eternity, and the punishment that awaits the evil people will be forever. Not sure if that means they will burn forever, but my guess is that the goats have eternal life so the statement about their punishment lasting forever maybe apt. Matthew 25 vs 31-40 (ESV) Daejoyoung:There was no Kingdom of Heaven in the Old testament either, that is not to say that a Kingdom of Heaven belief in the new Covenant was a mistake of some sort. The verse there is Jesus Christ, the one who grew up among the romans and greeks you speak of, talking of a fire that lasts forever. Daejoyoung:Are you sure this is even from the Bible? |
| Re: Is Hellfire Real? by Daejoyoung: 10:52pm On Aug 04, 2020 |
The Way to get to God, the Father, is Jesus Christ(The New Covenant).Well Kobojunkie to be honest, I don't understand how your quotes about jesus being the way or truth answers my question. I never disputed that jesus is the way, truth, and the life, I'm only asking you what does this mean to Taoist or say a liberal Buddhist or even Liberal muslim? That said, worshipping another master yet unknowingly obeying the commandments of Jesus Christ does not get one to God either. For you cannot worship two masters.Never said anything about worship, taoism is more of a philosophy, than it is about worship per say. What if the Tao's doctrines and teachings are all 100% thesame with that of christ? The Taoist needs to either serve confucius or serve Jesus Christ... not both. What if Confucius and Christ do not really differ in their teachings? According to Matthew 25, the fire itself burns eternity, and the punishment that awaits the evil people will be forever. Not sure if that means they will burn forever, but my guess is that the goats have eternal life so the statement about their punishment lasting forever maybe apt.Well we agree to disagree on that passage for now. |
Are you sure this is even from the Bible?Matthew 19v28 Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Luke 24v19-21 What things?” he asked. “About Jesus of Nazareth,”they replied. “He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. 20 The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him; 21 but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place Acts 1v6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel? |
