It's possible he gave you tracking information of an already completed order. Contact the seller
I would suggest you use global. cainiao .com (or Google it if I spelt it wrong). If you notice that there is a descrepancy in the order dates (i.e if the very first day of order and the updates following it are wrong) then you can trust that its possible the tracking id is wrong. First of all show the seller this information and wait for a day or two for his GOOD reason or proof to convince you. If he doesn't reply then In that situation do not hesitate to open a dispute. Tell them that the seller doesn't want to reply. When opening a dispute calmly and clearly state every thing. Give every information you have. There can never be too much info. Don't give them the chance to say something is missing. Provide screenshots of tracking information on 17track or global. Cainiao ( don't give them the opportunity to give excuse that they don't trust other sites), screenshot of the messge the seller sent to you, screenshots of the tracking on nipost site. AliExpress cannot deny hard evidence. They only declare a dispute invalid when they believe you've not given enough proof. I would suggest you show your dispute to someone else before sending it to them. You guys can run through it and see if there's anything you can say is "missing". Proof is what would win disputes.

Once you insert your tracking number, click track. It's either tracking info comes up or not.

1. If something comes up, then your package is with post office already and they've updated it.

2. If nothing comes up, it means:
a. Your package is yet to arrive naija

b. It is already in naija but post office is yet to attend to it.

true talk, initiated a dispute yesterday, asked seller to extend bp, and he ignored me, meanwhile tracking shows seller cancelled order, i asked him then, he said he didnt..that its covid mixup or something along that lines. so as bp ended..i simply opened dispute, attached screenshots of tracking showing where seller canceeled, checked again today barely 24hrs after, and my refund is being processed already
