The LAUNCH CRP123 universal scanner is ideal for personal use.

Your budget and the systems of your car that you want to scan should guide your choice. If you want to scan only engine and you are cool with using your phone, you can buy elm 327 (N5000) but you have to buy a pro version of torque to be able to enjoy it, or you can buy MS309(N12000).

If you want to scan 4 systems (engine, SRS, ABS and Transmission or gear. You can buy crp123 (65K) as entry level for Launch products.
