Learn to be thoughtful and objective. The policemen have commited no offense as far as I am concerned save for absconding from the scene which is a felony for which they should rightly be dismissed and prosecuted.

But the chase is absolutely legal and necessary to uphold laws and deter lawlessness. He was being chased and was hit by a car. Happens all over the world.

Snatch a purse or run a red light in California and the police will chase you to Nevada if need be. If you jump into an alligator pit they will rescue whatever remains of you and handcuff it to the ambulance gurney. The cyclist killed himself.

What happened to taking his number, specifications, or any details that could help take him down next time? The chase him to his death and fled. The ineptitude of the police force is there for all to see.

Nigeria always joking with people's mental health since 1960. He followed one way, now you followed him till he died.

He did wrong, but doesn't guarantee a chase like that. It is high time police understands that not all situation they will fight and chase people this way. Some persons are going through a lot. Their mental health is not sound.

In minor cases like this, ignore. God have mercy.

If only we learn to always do the right thing.

The police would have flagged him down in a civil manner,
He would have stopped as the police chased him knowing he is going to pay just for the crime he committed in a legally acceptable way and no more, and he would be alive today with just a minor civil ticket to his name.

I must say I'm utterly disappointed at those abusing the Nigeria police on this incident. Yes there may be other alternatives, however they did what's expected of them. Maintain law and Order in line with the law, the deceased broke the law and tried evading arrest. Unfortunately it ended up nasty, but they shouldn't have ran away but convened the victim to the hospital, who knows maybe a simple first aid or prompt medical attention could have saved him..
My sympathy goes to the deceased family as I knew for sure he was trying to earn a living but bypassing laws is a no no.
