This will definitely lead to double or triple the fares for riders, those that can't afford it it will use public transport.

Lol. I try to avoid picking stuffs to deliver for riders as much as possible. It comes with issues quite often. Some would want the recipient of the item to pay for the trip, recipient may start contesting it, some will say the fare is too high that you branched somewhere else, some foolish ones will not even come to the car to pick it expecting you to bring it to their houses, I can't even touch a riders item let alone taking it to a house, so many confusion.

I rejected three delivery requests this week already. They won't tell you it's delivery and explain properly until you get to pick up, I will just cancel and leave. I no want that kind wahala.

I can only accept to deliver packages on rare occasions depending on the situation, item and rider's manner of approach with detailed explanation. That is, with abeg because I'm not a delivery man. Also, it must be a card trip and I won't touch the package, you drop it in the car, the recipient will come and pick it from the car.

One man's meat is another man's poison, I have always had it good with deliveries. No issues No wahala.

Doubling or tripling fares will hurt everyone, with drivers and partners being the biggest losers

True but it's inevitable since Lagos state is not backing down. Hopefully other states will develop their economy so Lagos stops this trash. We have 36 states in Nigeria, Lagos can go to hell, their own too much.

izzou you re on point this one, i picked up one babe yesterday who told me she spends an average of 120k monthly on Bolt just to go to work and comeback on daily basis. I doubted her initially but we did the estimate with riders app and it came out to be true. She showed me her ride transaction history, I was flabbergasted, Her annual spending on transportation is above 1 million naira. She is considering getting a car after the pandemic so she can limit her expenses on transportation. Doubling and tripping fare will definitely affect drivers and partners. Trip Request rate will drastically drop. Riders will run grin. I think pricing should be on a level playing ground. It should not be too high for the riders and it should not be too low for the drivers as well.

Had same experience this afternoon. Receiver refused to come collect item and na she go pay ọ.
She said I should give to security and send my account number. Las Las na sender did the transfer after I don tell her dey I dey go ọ. Na Indriver trip sha.

Guys, Ajah has been a no go area for hours now.
A car got burnt completely opposite Northwest. Na the cause of the traffic.
Babadee1900:
Few days before Sallah, I did a delivery (diffuser) from Alpha beach road to the last estate on Chevron drive, I asked sender who is paying, she said the receiver.
Got to destination, asked receiver to pay before I hand over the package. Guy said “shey you they whine me ni”... I told him to sort himself out with the sender because I’m not going to drop the package unless I get my money.

The babe later did transferred, meanwhile the guy was already shouting, saying all sorts of words. I remained in my car with doors locked while refreshing my bank app, when I confirmed payment..rolled down the glass and gave him his property before I waka.

They didn't run when uber started and base fare was 1000 naira even if it's 100 meters trip, Lagos has population and there are a number who would rather pay for the convenience than look for yellow cab or use danfo, drivers also won't have to work round the clock, irrespective of what Lagos decides, fares should go up!

Restructure or burst. If not, our over centralization, myopic leaders and the evil 1999 constitution with its exclusive list will never make Nigeria great. Keep hoping sha, our parents have been hoping for a better Nigeria since the deadly first coming of Buhari

Last time I took uber and fare was 700, I had to tip the driver in app additional 300 just to make it 1k, the current fares are ridiculous.

I always ask myself

If the drivers are complaining of low trips now, how would it look like when the fares are increased

With the way the sector has been desecrated with so many cars, increasing the fares would make some drivers go hungry...No jokes

I remember when Coca-Cola increased to 150. Nobody advised them to go back to 100 when people started going for Pepsi and Bigi

Before Uber, people were using Danfos and Bike. Increase the price, and watch them go back to that...

Increasing the fare go damage a lot of things oh

I read your earlier post, and i was really surprised how so much emotion, anger, bitterness, selfishness and pride can be in just one post.

If you are in a position to lease out cars to people, be grateful and quit big-mouthing like you are doing your partners a favour. You need them more than they need you. If you doubt that, recall all your existing cars from your partners and see if any of them, just one of them, will die of hunger. But your investments will erode in your garage.

If your partners are remiting whatever amount you agreed upon, also be grateful and stop disturbing our peace here, please. You will not do them jack if they begin to play hanky-panky with your money.

I come here to enjoy people's experiences, if palatable, and empathize with them, if otherwise. Stop spreading negative vibe and sounding like a demi-god. Go to LinkedIn and see what your mates are achieving already and you will be humbled.

Thanks
Bless your heart my brother

I still try to understand why anyone in his/her right senses think or feel they're doing their employee a favour for the pay they earn or amount a driver is renting their property even after an agreement has been reached. If you feel you're doing the guy a favor then dash the car to the person or better still let them not pay you while ypu still maintain the car.

I'm still trying to heal from the heartbreak from this very word from my boss "I'm doing you a favor". That word hurts like hellyou know but anyways, we talked about it and we're moving on.

After all, understanding and misunderstanding are best of friendsgrin
