You can take a warm shower and wipe your breast with warm water too at intervals. Also take paracetamol to relieve the pain. You can also start taking warm pap (if you have not already) some mamas swear by it, although I'm not a fan of pap, I prefer hot amala, ewedu and orisirisi meat
Whichever way, your milk will soon start flowing and you will be relieved. It takes me 2 to 3 days before my milk starts flowing well (I deliver through CS, don't know if this contributes) and it's always so painful

Try to massage the breast, use a breast pump to pump the milk out and initiate milk flow (preferably electric) but your best option is to put baby to breast to suck it out.

Use painkillers if need be, the pain of sore breast is not a joking sometin.

Hey mamas I've got the silicon breastmilk collector available now.

Take a warm bath it will help. You can also place warm towel on your breast.it helps a lot.

Clean ur nipple with the warm water n cotton. It will help open your pores for baby to suck

If your breast is engorged that means you're lactating but baby is having latching problem.

You can use breastpump to initiate it and open up the ducts.
Continue putting baby to latch too.

A nurse once said is very risky to take cold drinks (frequent) it has effect on the baby, it makes ones blood to block and not flow well, also when not pregnant. Same as soft drinks like coca cola,fanta,Pepsi etc

To the best of my knowledge this is a myth, the stomach is an entirely different organ from the uterus(womb),so I don't think it has any effect on the baby.

Human are homeothermic(ability to maintain relatively constant temperature), But for overall wellness of the stomach, one might be advised to take in moderation as excess of anything is bad

I'm just so scared. She gave birth at 41 weeks (no induction), VD with little tear... Birth weight is 4.4kg.. But I'm just so scared... Like, can I do this.. 30 weeks today... It's becoming more and more real to me... It is well... End of rants

my first trimester wasn't a funny period at all and the only thing that sustain me then was ice block, the only thing I could tolerate then was ice block and tea due to morning sickness , any other thing will end in tears, at a time hubby was against it but later when he sees that that was the only thing my body was tolerating. na him sef day always arrange the ice block. but now I am fine , already in my third trimester.

Just get a breast pump(manual or electric) prices ranges from 1,5k to 5k for manual and 10k up for electric. It'll help in opening the ducts.

Or you can use towel with lukewarm water to clean the nipples(mouth of the nipples) thoroughly.

The latter worked for me with my 2sons

Don't be depressed, you'll surely get it right
