Good day in the house. Please my baby of six months cries seriously in fear when I use the blender around her.I complained in the hospital and was told to always take her away whenever I want to use it.Now,she gets scared at the sound of a car engine or the sound that comes when you are fetching water in an empty bucket.I dont know if its something to get worried about or she will outgrow it or I go back to the hospital..Though her reaction is worse with the blender..thank you

Lol. You went to hospital to report the blender situation? I like your proactive approach, no room for doubt.

I'm yet to meet a child that isn't scared of blender, it's normal, she will outgrow it. It's the noise and I'm guessing she doesn't go out often. My first son was scared, stopped after a while. Now, my daughter is the one that cries.

ok thank u ma. Do u have an idea of their antenatal fee and delivery fee?

GH is about 8k for delivery, not sure about antenatal. You will buy your delivery items separately, not sure, didn't use there but someone told me. Not a fan of GH.

I used daughters of charity, I love it there. Antenatal plus delivery is about 40k. You will still buy your delivery items. Cs is over 100k.

Thanks mama

LadySarah:

Keep putting bby to it or pump with a breast pump to send signals to your brain for increased supply. Also warm fluids is very important and your mindset. Always try to be positive. My gynae told me our mood greatly influences our supply.
Goodluck!

Electric. Madella is good
Hand held. Chicco is good.

Steam inhalation. Boil hot water and pour in a bowl or bucket. Add 2 or 3 drops of silverbird or mentholatum or.... With your baby on ur laps and you seated down. Cover both of you with a fabric that won't let steam escape. A big towel or bedsheetetc.
Thank you ma

Good day everyone, my baby was Born before time and has since been on exclusive breastfeeding but my wife is having issues with lactation.. He's 12 weeks old and 3 weeks adjusted for age. Which formula feed would you likely recommend? Thanks. First time parent.

it's mostly normal... It should normalize soon. Also you could consider watching your diet for any thing that you think might be a possible source for food reaction... Babies generally would poop multiple times to once a few days.. So it's normal.

Hold up, just for completeness, how often do you feed? Every 3 hours or every 4 hours? And what's the poo like.?

no pediatrician would advice you to get gripe water.. It's disadvantages far outweighs the risk. Work on adequately burping your child regularly after each feed.. You could also lie him on his/her stomach for a while while she or he sleeps to enable him or her pass gas easily. Next, ensure he is properly latch on to your nipples while suckling to reduce the amount of air she sucks in while feeding..

Another angle.. Is he or she on exclusive breastfeeding or on formula feed? If on formula feed.. Consider changing the brand due to incomplete digestion of animal fat as this could be the reason for the abdominal discomfort.

Another angle still, there are different reasons why a baby would cry at night, it could be his awake time, it could be gas like you suspected, it could be a wet nappy or even just hunger.

Bottom line.. Grip water is a no no. Consider other outline measures..

Regarding the wriggling to pass poo or fart. That is completely normal.. If you consider the fact that the babies anterior abdominal wall muscle is still soft and can't really push much of his intestine to pass pop coupled with the fact that he or she has to do it lying face up? Then you would understand why the wriggling happens. It's all the baby can do to get the pop out.

I hope I have answered your question.

I am sure of NAN 1 cos I have used it before. But I think any baby milk with 1 will work just fine. Your pocket will determine.

Thanks for your response ma

She's 2 months.

I'm the only one bathing her.

Aside bathing time, when i uncloth her you'll see that she'll want to hold something to feel secured, she doesn't cry at that time though. Also, when i put her on my shoulder she will hold herself as if she wants to fall.

All during 2 months, has it always been that way? Any ear discharge?

Good evening all. I noticed of recent that my baby is not feeding well. Whenever she's hungry and I put her to breast, she will suck for like two minutes or highest five minutes and comes off the breast. When I give her again, she won't take it or if she does she will repeat the same thing. I see milk spilling out when she comes off the breast so it's not that I'm not lactating. Please has anyone experienced this before? What can I do?

Glad to finally join this group. A FTM. I’m lactating but I have big areola and flat round nipples which my baby is finding difficult to latch. What’s the solution please? I don’t want to rely entirely on breast pump

Good evening everyone.. Please help I need help with my DD, she's so scared and I don't know why. Each time I remove her cloth to bath her she'll be scared and start crying. Who has experienced this and what can I do?

If your new baby is startled by a loud noise, a sudden movement, or feels like they’re falling, they might respond in a particular way. They might suddenly extend their arms and legs, arch their back, and then curl everything in again. Your baby may or may not cry when they do this.

This is an involuntary startle response called the Moro reflex. Your baby does this reflexively in response to being startled. It’s something that newborn babies do and then stop doing within a couple of months
