Hello everyone. Thanks for painlessly attending to questions thrown in.

I need to ask if it's compulsory to use the official transcript from school (The expensive one) for application or the normal student copy will suffice?

My thought is, if the student transcript copy is certified in court, it should fly.
Has anyone gone through this route before and was accepted by the university/ uni-assist?
Thanks.

I have both type of Transcripts. But at the University of Lagos there is a write up on the student transcript were the University clearly state that the student copy should and can't be use as an official copy. Meaning the school is warming that you can't use the Student copies to process any application. If yours is like that then you must use the transcript from Institution. Wen you say the expensive transcript well in University of Lagos Transcript is 3000 Naira. Except in State Schools I don't know is Obtain there. Danke

Oh. This helps. Thanks

BTW, what's AD? You all seem to throw a lot of abbreviations around here.

I know AL = Admission letter, BA = block account. But what's AD? Thanks

Hahahahahha I hate abbrevation just like you. Initially I found very annoying but i realized that many love to use abbrevation so I just read and pass. It took me almost one year what they mean by AD.

Hi,

1 - You can always register for health insurance online.

2- You have two options.
a - If you are below 30 years of age, you are to use the public health insurance. I think it from around 80 Euros upwards monthly. you can google AOK or ask people who use public to share ideas with you. The public health insurance is more expensive but also better than the private since you can walk into any hospital for treatment.
b- If you are 30 years and above, you have to use the private insurance. I am using Care concept. Many others are using Mawista. They also have bundle plans starting from around 36 euros monthly based on the service you pick. Many people pick the one around 35 euros upwards.
If you do the private insurance, after registering online, you will get your health insurance enrollment certificate. You will then forward this to the public health insurance to issue you an exemption letter. This letter will state that you have a private insurance and do not need a public insurance. It is this document alongside your private insurance certificate you will then use to do your enrollment.

3- YES! You pay your insurance premium EVERY month!

Cheers!

Hmm. When did you process your transcript for 3K? I did it in 2019 for close to 6K. Now I believe it should cost more... He could just create a Uniassist account and have it uploaded there...

If this system of booking AD is accepted i think it should be stated on the embassy website.

Photocopy the original one and certify.

Don't send any original copies to Uni assist. You will not get it back.

Hello everyone. It's another Monday, let's keep the hope alive.
Their number is still not going through, anyone able to reach them yet? Do we have any volunteer close to the island to help us make enquiries as regards the information on their website?
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Stiflersammy(m): 10:06am On Aug 10, 2020
I don't know how to say this but I think there is a mix up. I called the embassy this morning about student visa and as we are told to call or sent email to the consulate. I was surprised to still hear they are not attending to student except family unification.

I was told to contact the embassy through email for more clarity.

I think the embassy is confused though, I called them this morning and what I was told was that there is a waiting listing for student visa’s but the lady on the phone couldn’t direct me on how to access the waiting list, she said I should check the embassy throughly.

This is exactly what the lady told me now. I can't find any waiting list on the site. I tried to ask her how I can access the waiting list but she said I should check the website.
Please who knows about this waiting list?

Lemao. I finished from Unilag sir and when I went to records office to request for my official transcript to be sent abroad, the told me 18k excluding DHL fees. One of the guys that was in the office followed me out when I left and told me that he can organize my official transcript to be given to me instead of to the school, that I should bring 40k.

I walked that path. It can be accepted by some schools but they will ask you to send the official transcript for enrollment. Uniassist however will reject it and they will ask you to upload the official transcript before your application will be reviewed which you have to do within the application deadline of the schools you are applying for, so I will encourage you to use the official transcript for all applications with Uniassist.

My brother, I’m not sure it’s the same university of Lagos that I attended that you are talking about. You collected an official transcript at 3k? That’s not possible. But you can share how you did it bro, I wish to know. The last time I checked, official transcript is 10k plus 1k for emailing it or 2k for uploading it.

Just fill the online form for them to upload it on Uniassist. It will cost 10k + 2k for the upload. Put the instructions on how to access your Uniassist upload page and include your username and password. You write these on the address section when filling the form. Once they upload it, you can download it from Uniassist and print in colored. That will be your original copy That’s what I recently did. Else be ready to spend more than that each time you need to send your transcript to schools.
