Like I always say, don't judge an entire country/people by the actions of the few bad eggs. They are good people in Nigeria but good deeds have a very dim limelight but the reverse is louder than Angel Gabriel's trumpet.

You have a big point. We must learn to appreciate good deeds, even the smallest of them all. It has a way of encouraging and bringing similar good deeds out of others.

Remember that the value of a phone does not affect the good deed of a Nigerian who returned a lost phone, nor does it diminish the fact that the police helps to regain lost phones.

But that is why I am of the view that we the masses show public support for and to the NPF (Nigerian Police Force).
When we do that by forming an association of friends of the police. Our surface aim will be to canvass support for the members of the Police in Nigeria.
However, our foundational aim will remain to establish a synergy with the force whereby it will be possible to constructively criticize the bad eggs in the police and have them change or booted out.

Once again, sorry for the experience. Hope you will like a perfect reform of the Nigerian police?

This is rather urgent!
You are not required to give any money, except you voluntarily desires to appreciate the good work they do. That however is later, not at inception. You will not buy the services of the police for this your purpose.

You need to dress well and walk to the police Headquarters. Go to the commissioners office and, the desk officers you meet at the entrance, or any uniform wearing personal of the force you see there, tell him/her your plight. As that they direct you to appropriate department. I am sure they will direct you.

Don't go there looking unkept. Don't wear the modern Beard, it makes you look criminal prima-facie. Appearance matters, then speak good English.

The police are our friends. They are public servants. They are primarily there to serve and protect you, your properties and loved ones.

The thing I detest is that people hate the police, but I tell you in full confidence, POLICE IS THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO US. THEY ARE THE BEST AMONG ALL AGENCIES OF THE GOVERNMENT.

Your idea is splufik. However, I do not think the Nigerian Police Force is mentally ready for this kind of collaboration. An average policeman's target is not to protect lives and properties but to do that which would enrich him. But I do not want to be a pessimist in my quest to being an idealist, so I would say, let's give it try and see the dust we can raise and the fog that we can clear from this course.
