Hello doctors in the house. I was having blurry vision with an eye so I went to see an optometrist. I was diagnosed with astigmatism so a corrective eyeglass was recommended.

Now that I have the eyeglass, I'm not sure how often I'm supposed to wear it. The doctor said I should wear it whenever I'm going out but as a freelancer, I hardly go out.

Please is there any side effect to wearing the eyeglass indoor?

Not true. Once you start, you have started. You can as well assume it is a fashion accessory and buy it in different colours and shapes.

Depends on how bad your eyesight is (how much you can do without it) or how often you want to wear it. Most likely the former.

None that I know of. The worst that will happen is, you will wear it so much it becomes a part of your face and you can’t imagine yourself without it...They could be pretty addictive- clear vision is addictive.

Wear it anytime you need to see better ― daily, occasionally, or once in a blue moon.

Eyeglasses do not correct. LASIK, however, does.

Depends on what it is. If its defect that you were born with, its a different story. I wish I could give you hope but eyesight declines as you grow older.

Staring at computers and tv and phones also do not help.

I don't know what the cost is in Nigeria. It's about $1500/eye at most clinics in my city here.
