Every Governor pockets the speaker whether in his party or not. Other members may not be aware. Mind you some of the legislative members decamped to APC after d supreme Court ruling just to get better cut from the Governor.

Also the house is on recess, principal officers could connive with the supreme Court Governor to take the mace out without the awareness of other legislative members
