Its either the reporter is ignorant of the situation or he is being biased. and that is not good reportage. I watched this on news yesterday and the police were not using brute force at all, in fact the joint task force were polite, up until the occupants of the store became agitated and aggressive and the police needed to step in to enforce the law. For those who care to know the genuine story its simple... you remember Buhari unilaterally closed the Nigerian border without recourse to whatever protocols many of you are quoting here? only simply because he suspected the influx of agricultural produce (especially rice) which his government has said was crippling the Nigerian market and driving local growers out of business thus, rendering local farmers poor. its same analogy here. Just consider the population of Nigeria (over 206millio) whiles Ghana's population is a meager 31million (15% of Nigeria). Lagos population is almost same as the whole Ghana. The just ended voter registration exercise in Ghana registered only app.17 million person, these are people 18 yrs and above. so if we just open up the our market without regulations, and even just 2 million Nigerians start to trade in the informal sector (knowing that the informal sector employs most Ghanaian), do you GENUINELY believe Ghanaians will survive? Our laws are not restricting Nigerians, you can see from the videos that some Nigerian shops were opened right where the scuffling was happening. Thats because he has followed the laws of the land and he is peacefully working. and that notion of Nigerians in Ghana being abused/harassed must be stopped. Has anyone harassed Access Bank, UBA Bank, Petra Insurance, Zenith Bank, Dangote cement (the list of Nigerian businesses in Ghana is endless). So quit tripping guys legitnow: 3 Likes |

Truth is, Igbo people are hardworking industrious people pursuing their livelihood legitimately. They are not lazy agbero waiting for hand out or collecting money from people. They carry commerce to everywhere their is demand and sell their goods. They did not stop you from trading or doing same, u just hate becos it is in your blood to be envious and xenophobic to hard work and gains. 1 Like |

Nigerians have really suffered, this is a deliberate attack on Nigerians in particular, perhaps a retaliatery response to close boarder policy embarked upon by Nigerian government last year. Ghana have been stepping on our toes for quite sometime but unfortunately nothing tangible had been done in the past to put them where they truly belong. I pity these traders. |

PaulH07: That's the best option because in the next 5 years I doubt we will be welcome in any country. Ibo have no home training and they confuse ambition with smartness, they are actually the dumbest tribe in Nigeria. It's that dumbness that led them to helping their leader Okpara escape after murdering the leaders of all other regions during the '66 coup, and is what has turned them to second class citizens in their own country. They are poor in seeing the big picture, very very poor in it. Only an ibo person can travel abroad for 20 years and still be able to marry one school leave from the village and relate at the same level of thought. If you observe they are the only tribe where the opinion of a professor and shopkeeper is the same. If an ibo shopkeeper hates Buhari for a reason, by the time you speak to an ibo professor you will hear the exact same sentiment. They are a great minus to Nigeria and God will punish all those that stop them from having their country starting with the clueless Gowon 3 Likes |

When we clamor for nigeria to disintegrate, this is why. How can a govt not protect the lives of its citizens both home and abroad? How can a country exist and other countries are not afraid to harm their citizens. You can't try this with Russians or Americans or even south Africans or Chinese. Country like Russia will retaliate straight up by attacking your country. America and Arabs will sponsor proxy wars that will destabilise your country forever. Nigger-area should be in that league. 1 Like 1 Share |

backnbeta: Not only Arabs see and treat us like poop, Asians do and go free. Indians will call us monkeys in our country, Chinese work us like slaves and pay little or nothing, Lebanese will scam you, withhold your salary, but the worst treatment you receive in Nigeria will still be from Nigerians... police, army, VIO, FRSC, local government revenue, task force, agbero, NURTW, armed robbers, kidnappers, not to talk of mechanics, tailors, technicians, etc |
