Ayoola03: Thank you for your response. I have a master degree. BCS is for those looking to get 2 or more certificate. Masters has more points than 2 or more certificate. The only option now is to learn French, not sure if I can do that. My bsc is in microbiology and I know I cant study nursing with that on the masters level. So I'm leaning towards undergrad. I'm not sure if I can do a PGD. I just need guidance on th4 next step. |

You may wish to check your school's refund policy before doing this. Fanshawe for example provides refunds only where you were refused a study permit. Also, why not wait until you get your permit before changing schools? Changing in the midst of a study permit application may just complicate things in my own opinion. Finally, you can proceed with your 1 year programme and simply apply for another 1 year programme upon completion to bag the 3 yrs post study. Mogullet: |

Good day house. I applied in 2018 but got denied due to travel experience. Thing is I want to start the process again but I have left my previous job and I am self employed. Am I to provide a new sponsor or still use the same old company? And again, I can raise the tuition fees but I don't have sponsors with same family name. Is it possible to use a sponsor with a different surname? Thanks in aniticipation. |

rvpbae: Hello Rvpbae, If your previous Master was thesis-based, you can go for a course-based Master or PGD/C. This time, your approach should be coming from a professional standpoint. If possible look at PGD in Toxicology at MUN. Have you max out IELTS? Your spouse should also write IElTS and do an ECA evaluation if not done. Doing TEF might just be the wayforward. You just have to place your mind towards it. All the best 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by JustMellow: 12:17pm On Aug 17, 2020 |
Joezinho: Hello Joezinho, Did you request for your GCMS notes prior after the refusal and are certain that your application was refused based on just "Travel History"? As for your employment, your have to provide evidence to justify the gaps between your previous study till date. Hence, you should provide proof for your source of funds. It may only be necessary to use a sponsor if you can't be a self-sponsored applicant due to insufficuent funds. If you have funds sufficient enough to cover both your first year LE and Tuition fees with some extras, you are good as a self-sponsored. Otherwise, either a Cosponsor or getting a Letter of Support from a reliable source that a relationship can easily be proven would suffice. P.S: you may want to give more insight on your financial or personal situation/circumstances so people here can advise you accordingly. All the best 1 Like 1 Share |

JustMellow: Thanks justmellow for the prompt reply. Truly appreciated. I didn't request for my GCMS notes after the refusal. I guess that was my mistake . The refusal was shocking to me because I felt I did everything right. But upon stumbling on the previous "Canada thread" late last year, I realized I made lots of mistakes.. My family members are willing to add to whatever I can raise for the tuition fee (I am currently into small scale farming). When i applied in 2018, i jusy needed my company's statement of account to prove they can sponsor my trip. I left the company early last year but I still have a good rapport with the management. Providing proof for my source of funds is why I feel I needed a sponsor. I have been into farming since I left my Job last year and I didn't register the farm. How do I convince them I have the money without providing a CAC? Pardon my typo errors. |

Mogullet: Hello Mogullet, The heading to this post though. I had my mouth wide open to excitement only to close it towards reading to the middle. The common excitement that comes with such heading here is that of a success story to an approval. Its good that based on your decision you've decided to apply to a second DLI with a 2yr course choice. However, you may just be overreacting over this PGWP. Since you've already appied for your visa and paid part of your fees, why don't you allow it play out by not requesting for a refund. You may just lose quite some sum which may become regrettable. Why not just consider the option of extending your SP within Canada and applying for a second program. If you still intend to go ahead, endeavour to enable the change within Canada while keeping an eye on the deadline date for refund of the other DLI. Check the penultimate page for the list of cheap DLI. Ayoola dropped a handful of list. All the best 1 Like |

Joezinho: If I get you clearly, you used the BS of the company you previously worked for to facilitate your study application before you left? If you feel comfortable answering these questions, please do. 1. How much is your financial budget for your study 2. In totalling the combined sum for your fees and LE, what is the available balance left in your account? 3. Your marital status 4. Who are these family members willing to support you and who is the most likely fit that car stand as a reliable sponsor In the foregoing before the lowdown questions, though it maybe expensive depending on your location, Valuating the farm will not only be a sufficient home tie but an efficient proof of funds. Your transactional receipts will also come handy and if possible, try to pay any revenue tax to the government so you can get hold of any of the revenue receipt/certificate. Then get a contract agreement plus a reference letter from any of your trusted and reliable customer(s). All the best 1 Like 1 Share |

Hello All, Please I need clarity on a few things. It has been resounded here and on other threads that a 2:2 cant get you admission into a Uni in Canada right? But I just learnt of 2 people who got admission for an executive MBA programme in a University and they didnt even ask for their academic standing. The admission was based more on work experience and requires going to Canada maybe every quarter or so. Is it because it is an executive as opposed to a full time programme? What is the probability of them securing a work permit after this programme? On the issue of finances and bank statement after submitting one's application, my friends who have been bankers for almost a decade informed me that the Embassy only verifies the authenticity of the statement and never account balance after the date of the duration in your statement. A few people have also said the same thing in previous posts. If this is really the case, why has it been sounded over and over here that one should maintain your balance and not pull out substantial funds until one's visa comes out? Can I be educated on this please? hubby was my sponsor and wants to use his funds and does not see why millions should remain in his account till eternity Finally, does PHD require GMAT? |

JustMellow: Thank you so much. My masters was course based. In fact my masters isn't related to my bsc, different fields. The drawback I have is my bsc result isn't fantastic, except for the last two years. Even if I max out ielts, my score is low. Let me look up TEF. |

Beckley40: I'm new here but I spent all morning on university of Regina's website. From the requirement, you need to evaluate your result, it is a mandatory requirement. Some even require you send high school transcript. Also failure to declare post- secondary school education might lead to disqualification. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Beckley40: 2:22pm On Aug 17, 2020 |
This is serious o Wes evaluation of OND transcript that I don't even need transfer credit I can only provide my transcript directly from attended institution Wes evaluation I don't think I'm ready for that cos its time consuming I will apply to another school. |
