Please is it possible and okay to defer an admission while your study permit is being processed or after getting a visa? Will there be issue doing that?

Yes it’s fine you can defer no problem would occur as a result of that, but after getting approval you should raise a webform informing IRCC on the update on your application as regards your deferment

Good evening Nairalanders and the learned bosses here.

Please I want to ask if there will/ may be consequences to SP approval after AIP and medical request gotten then defer admission to January 2021 intake.

Reason is due to concentration and the time difference to study online.

Please would there be any negative effect after raising a web form to notify IRCC of the deferment?

Thanks in advance for your response

Hello Anon 123, Hello Everyone,

I'm new here and I've been reading the preceeding threads.

I am an Economics graduate with over 3 years plus experience in administrative duties - currently an executive assistant. I would like to know my options as a friend who currently studies at Royal Roads university in Vancouver tried to discourage me from applying to colleges.

I am currently applying to Connestoga College, computer application development certificate with co-op and second choice human resources with co-op (which is in line with my current career) but this was the response I got when I got to the education step.

Can anyone kindly explain what this means and what next I should do.

My real plan is to get admitted into a 2 years tech program with co-op (software engineering or human computer interaction): 2 years for the purpose of PR, co-op to hopefully transition into the canadian labour market with ease and tech because that's the path I'm currently passionate about (and taking courses in Ux/Ui) but due to serious domestic violence issues at home, I don't want to wait till fall (September 2021) and would prefer to leave for the Nigeria for the Spring/summer (May) intake, and hopefully take my mom with me.

Kindly help refer me to possible programs that can help achieve all my goals stated above and how to dgo aabout their admission process.

Anon123:

1) its possible but only if your grades at the end of your study are good. If there are you can apply for a masters

2)After your 1yr PGD program and which to further for a masters, you dont apply for another study permit but rather you apply for an extension of your stay by mostly submitting the new admission letter (masters or PGD) and statement of account to show you can handle your tuition and living expenses for at least a year. The chances are high as long as you submit those documents, hardly get denied and feedback takes at least a month.

3) yes it will if the its a total of 2yrs(first program and the second)

NB if you are insisting on doing the masters, you can go ahead with 1yr PGD and den the masters but if you ain't, you just apply for a 2yrs PGD program which saves you the stress of applying for an extension of your stay.

im sorry guys for asking a very basic question such as this but i have to, im trying to link my application online and it seeming to be very tedious. they requested for my application number and i provided the one on my VAC receipt that reads "App ref No" . and im just not sure wether there is a different one they need sause its throwing an error when i hit submit.
So the question is . Where exactly can i find my application number?

Thanks for the amazing compliments about me and best wishes. It couldn't have been made possible without the presence of the honourable members of this platform. So I appreciate you all for the opportunity to contribute my quota on this thread.

In retrospect to your enquiry about financial sponsorship documents to be prepared by the church. I would enumerate the below information;

1. Certificate of Incorporation (shortlisting the names of the Trustees in the church).

2. Letter of Sponsorship.

3. Financial Resources (Six (6) months bank statement of the church).

4. Resolution letter (declaring their awareness and agreement to sponsor your education in Canada).

5. Bank Reference letter supporting the statement of account.

6. Proof that you're a bonafide member of the church (ID card and a reference letter from the organization you belong to in the church as well as pictures with your fellow members in the church).

7. Payment of the entire tuition fees from the church bank account, and highlighting the date on the SOA.

8. A domiciliary account in your name showing transfer/deposit of equivalent $10,000CAD from the church in support of your annual living expenses.

The above documents should be sufficient to demonstrate their ability to finance your studies in Canada.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out here.

It will end in praise.

Boss Frank Good Morning, thanks for your response to my previous questions.

I have also found myself in a similar situation as that of the person you just responded to the question. But mine is a bit different whereby I am only a staff of the church organisations headquarters. All your recommendations above can be provided to me except 7 & 8 because by God's Grace I have made modalities to pay my fees and since it is not a private organisation, approval passes through many hands and it would be difficult for all to approve.

I actually intend to use my organisation as a Co-Sponsor. What are your thoughts, would there be light and headway if I don't include the option 7 & 8 and what do you advise?

Regards

Send an email to confirm this WES evaluation... I'm positive that they waived this requirement for Winter entry because of the pandemic. Ask sha

rvpbae:

I'm new here but I spent all morning on university of Regina's website.

From the requirement, you need to evaluate your result, it is a mandatory requirement. Some even require you send high school transcript. Also failure to declare post- secondary school education might lead to disqualification.

She get masters now ,

BCS is not useful to her

Ayoola03:
Do you know you can increase your CRS score by obtaining a BCS certificate IT that gives you additional 33 points? You should exhaust all options before concluding. Again, was your BSc background in medical related fields or you are considering going for undergraduate degree. If not, you cant get admitted directly into nursing which just any background. Medical line is highly regulated in Canada therefore their strict process.

Sorry please According to your experience with Regina university, do you know if may be they will require some deposit first before I can apply for the student permit. I need more enlightenment on that, thank you all for your candid reply you are doing great on this trend.

Once you've been granted an admission into the University. You will be required to make a deposit of $500 in order to secure your seat in the program.

Thank you very much for this info, I really appreciate it. But I don’t know how often do they give admissions to international student and what my chances might be since I am applying for my undergraduate program. I need some more hint on that because I know you already applied for someone through Regina university before, there are more I will love to know about it. Thank you

The University of Regina offers flexible programs that are available in three (3) different semesters (Fall, Winter and the Spring). The chances of getting an undergraduate admission strictly depends on your academic qualifications and WAEC results. If you had good grades in your WAEC with the compulsory components (English and Mathematics) not less than C6, you will be given an admission within 4 weeks.

Let me know if you have other questions.

May this new week culminate into days of GOODNEWS for us here!

Positive news reaching me today is that applicants are beginning to receive BVL notifications after medical exams has been passed. This is a sign that IRCC are promptly processing pending applications submitted before the lockdown. I hope after the system maintenance this morning, good updates will soon begin to drop on this thread.

I wish everyone the best in their respective applications.

Thank you very much for the prayers and best wishes. Indeed, I'm honoured!.

Certainly every temporary resident visa application to Canada must receive a BVL notification prior to the initiation of a passport request by the visa officer. Therefore, you will receive it the second time irrespective of the fact that you got it in your previous refused application.

I received your DM and I can confirm to have responded.

hello house,
i applied to university of regina undergraduate health studies application fee was waived. It was written I need to declare post secondary school attended which I did, my question is I haven 2year national diploma initially OND on the admission page if u declare post secondary education u need transcript and it should be evaluated by wes ...pls I don't know what to do I don't even need transfer credit I intended starting all over as undergraduate applicant. I can still provide my transcript but Wes evaluation is time consuming pls what should I do is just OND not Bsc.

Kindly ignore the OND certificate and provide just the WAEC certificate, you will be granted an admission. The international admissions office only works and makes a decision based on the information present in your application. All you need to do is to briefly explain in about 5 lines what you've been doing since you last left high school.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
