Why call him a coward because his neighbors don't know he drives on uber? Uber is not his full time job, must everyone know your side hustle?

1. UBER system flagged a friend for fraud and he was deactivated immediately. NO PREVIOUS WARNING, the guy was just barely two weeks old on Uber, he only had 45 trips...and sadly he didnt involve in any fraud.
All attempt to get across and explain were rebuff, all request for specific reason for deactivation was not attended to.
No fairness, this is tyrannical. Imagine how many people would have fallen into such situation but their voice cannot be heard because their is no audience for such. of course if UBER deactivate you, their is no explanation again.
Thank God for Uche and Indriver.[img][/img]

2. A driver was unjustly flagged for fraud but this time it is warning. I told him to stop using UBER and mail them that until they tell him what specific fraud the system flagged he will not use the UBER. Long story short, they came back to apologise that it is a system error and that the guy should go ahead and be using his app.

I have contacts of these victims of wrong fraud allegations. Uber should grow up and be fair

3. The supposed body tag should at best not be a sticker on any UBer car, else this will be a stigma and easy prey for LASMA, VIO, TOUTS and POLICE. It should just be like Hackney or tag that can be produced when requested for. They need to remember that many private owners are not fully on Uber. it is a private car first, then used occassionally for ehailing.
.

Funny enough uber's pr with the govt agents on the street has been quite good. Unless they get orders (from above) to the contrary, policemen, LASTMA etc do let uber drivers slide as regards the less grievous offences.

Tell them they should give drivers fair hearing before deactivating them. You can tell them that on numerous occasions, they admitted to their systems flagging drivers for fraud in error, if drivers could be wrongly flagged for fraud, drivers can also be wrongly deactivated.

That should take like 22- 23k out of what you posted.

Cos I believe he bought fuel and used it up from that money you posted.

I just want to say against a backdrop of negative comments, that I think you are doing a wonderful job with your job.

The purpose of your blog is to provide insight into the ehailing business, and you're doing a good job. I have referred someone who was considering the business to your blog and he reverted that it was the best one-shop centre for ehailing information.

If anyone misconstrues or misapplies your information to mean drivers must pay more in rentals or taxes, that is the person's headache and it it is reflective of the person's level of understanding.

There's a lot of information providing financial insight into various businesses online and no one gets crucified for it, but are commended for helping others also make decisions and building the wealth of information available on the internet.

Keeping providing unbiased and insightful information on the business and you'll be the reference point for it.

78k minus 23k is 55k

And you want to give owner 20k and keep 35k.

Owner will still do repairs.

Oga your own is too much, if you don't like your driver, sack him.

You've said severally you don't like nairaland ehailing drivers and will never employ them, yet you keeping hassling them.

Whatever financial arrangement they have with their partners shouldn't be your problem.

I once gave out a car for less than the market value that people kept calling me to give it to them, I had my reasons. You should also know that everyone has their reasons for doing things, don't carry other people's headache

You're funny

Here driver's are the landlords, if u post ur car here, they bully u and start making fun of u.

The same driver will still tell u, if they have money they wont invest more than 800k.

Will 800k get you any good car? Never.

But yet they want a clean Corolla to deliver 20k.

Slickleo I'm here to help owner's.

Yes there has been some improvement but we are not there yet. Trust me it's only mondays Wednesdays and fridays you get many trips. Other days you might be lucky or not.

When the govt lifts the 10pm curfew then we can start demanding for 25k weekly, till then 15-20k weekly is fair enough.

I no blame her. Some driver will still take the trip!

I manage over 10 vehicles with uber, and all my drivers pay weekly rental of 27k, with 5000 naira below maintenance, u r here talking about 15/20k.

Anyway some people only need money 4 food. I'm strictly for business purposes.

you clearly have issues. There are many car owners on this thread, but only you make the loudest noise inspite declaring you don't like NL drivers...you must have picked-up this unhealthy attitude living in a face-me-I-face-you. Learn to face your front and leave others alone and you'll have less issues.
