I don't want to scare anyone away from an opportunity, but it's not as if it's uncommon for home care workers to be abused. These men see someone desperate to stay in America, and they hold the power to quickly send the woman back. I think seasonal work in hotels/resorts might be a better alternative. At least there, people can protect you.

This program is different. They don’t have to continue to work for their employer if it’s not a good fit. They can work for another employer as long as it’s the same NOC. However after they get PR after 2 years they have the full benefits of PR and can change profession if they want.

You have said it all. While I am not disputing the fact that we have evil people everywhere, no one can abuse anybody and go scot free in this part of the world especially if you have evidence. My brother, this is not naija o. In addition as @pleasant19 mentioned, with this new pilot program the nanny is not tied to one employer. If your direct employer fires you, you can look for another employer.

Coming to a faceless forum and asking people for the kind of help you requested is absurd.
It is not just about giving you an offer of employment just to appease someone they dont know.
Nobody wants to be on the wrong side of the law in Canada.

And because they thought of their own best interest first makes them selfish!
Have you thought about their living conditions in canada or if they meet the requirement for the program?
Do you even know if they have such plans for their own relatives?

You shouldn't sound so entitled in your quest for help.
Your reasons are valid but the way you are going on about it is not.

And nigerians in canada are very helpful. That's why you have various threads showing you how to get into canada legally.

those countries you mentioned their people have money. The average indian and Chinese here has 2 or 3 houses and businesses. How many Nigerians with our yeye naira can afford those things outrightly. Where i live the bank branch has only chinese staff and they speak mandarin to customers because they are rich. Money rules the world. 80% of the houses there owned by them. A typical Nigerian without generational wealth cannot compete with those kind of guys. Sometimes too Image and reputation matters. The phillipinos are good maids. They are also known for some other handwork. If you want to hire a suya man will you hire an igbo or yoruba man In the Chinese supermarket i shop the workers cannot speak English but their rich country man is able to bring them over. Nigerians mostly open african store and the owner can handle it alone. How many nigerians have 500k dolls or 1m dols to bring to canada. Stop blaming people for what they are not responsible for. Hustle your way and stop talking shit. The Nigerians you chatted have not brought their own relatives na u them go bring. You think is easy bringing a stranger abroad to come take care of his or her kids

Valid but a lot of safeguards have been built in. When you arrive, you can look for another family to work with if you don't like the first one. You just need to work the job for 2 years and then you can apply for PR through the CEC pathway.

To add to what you just highlighted, The number of Indian, Chinese and Phillipinos in Canada is X10 of Nigeria if not more, When they help their country men to come to canada, It is easily noticeable. Comepare to Nigeria that has less than 100k Population in Canada. Look at it in that other angle

how many Nigerians are earning well to be able to present papers to show they can pay minimum was to home care giver How many people would hire a stranger to come do such a job when they have siblings, cousins and relatives. Some also have parents who come to assist. You are being over entitled. You need to grow up

NIGERIANS WITH ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY. Thats why a lot of us are not paying Tax and want government to give us COVID palliative. i am not yet in Canada(by God's Grace, i will land next year) but based on research and what my brother tell me everyday, Canada works for open minded people.

No you don't. Nigerians in Canada constantly surprise me with their kindness. So far I've discovered Nigerians go out of their way to help other Nigerians especially to settle in. They might not be able to do much, but the little they can, they will do.

Imagine, we have a lot of people(Nigerians) online giving free information to people about how they can relocate to canada. I am an example, my inlaws in Canada are really after bringing us in but we've got to do our own part too. They have helped alot of people, now it is the turn of their family. infact they are ready to explore this pathway only if it will be faster, but the Processing time is discouraging. that why we opted for the Express Entry since we have brighter chance with it.

Fine, some Nigerians can be selfish but the percentage of the selfish one in a strange Virgin land like canada is not upto 10%.

My bad. Canada. My point is still the same. Women are at risk. I guess you don't care about your women being beaten and assaulted by white men since you felt the need to fixate on a minor statement flaw.

Prostitution is very common in the Philippines. Filipino women do not hesitate to sexually exploit themselves to go abroad. They commonly have sex with employers to get/keep jobs abroad. The Philippines even claims women are their "greatest export."

Indians spend their whole life abroad with their lips planted on white backsides. They have no dignity or self-respect.

Are these people you want to emulate? I think not. Nigerians are so much better than them, in every way.

I wish that was true. The reality is that justice works different for immigrants and black people in a place like Canada.

Again, I'm not trying to discourage anyone. I speak out of concern for safety. That's all. I don't trust these men, especially white ones.

Consider this.

A lot of Chinese immigrants in Canada are laundering money and avoiding punishment in their country. Many if not most of those rich "businessmen" are criminals/former criminals. Many Chinese immigrants are also basically trafficked by these "businessmen," so they can pay slave wages. These "businessmen" also quietly flood North America with opiates, fake medicine, and who knows what else. You're giving them far too much credit.

Indians go in packs because many aren't capable of going abroad any other way, unlike Nigerians. They're also fleeing one of the absolute worst countries in the world. Most indians would love to be in Nigeria. If only you knew. Indians also know that whites view them as slaves they can abuse even in a professional setting. Whites joke about hiring 5 indians for the price of one local. White people know that won't fly with Nigerians, or any other black man/woman for that matter.

India and China have an entire industry dedicated to cheating on entrance exams and other major exams. This is how many get into Canadian and other foreign universities (and they cheat in most of their courses).

Chinese students abroad are an arm of the Chinese government. They use these people for spying and sabotage.

Chinese companies are a nightmare for many. In an office setting, it's considered acceptable to beat the heck out of an employee for underperforming, disagreeing, or who knows what else. It's not surprising that even people with money and "good jobs" there want to get out. If not for themselves, for their children.

India is the rape capital of the world. Even villages killing rapists and parading their bodies isn't enough to discourage it. Sexual harassment is just as rampant. It's not shocking that people are desperate to leave.

In China, women don't even report rape because in their culture, the women is shamed and considered a bad person rather than the man who attacked her. Sexual harassment is also rampant of course. Again, of course there's tons of people fleeing that environment.

China can't manage/care for its huge population. They certainly try, but creating the conditions to sustain all those people is almost impossible. Some Chinese live in cages instead of apartments or even shacks. There's a reason every country in the world has a bunch of Chinese, and it's not because Chinese are globetrotters.

Many serious problems combined with being two of the most populous nations in the world is bound to inflate immigration. Have you considered that many Nigerians have no desire to leave while most Chinese and Indians do?

Interested, pls help me.
[Wequote author=fash78 post=92490368]I have done this for two of my sisters. One is already Canadian PR under the old live in caregiver path. Mt second sister's application is in progress under the new nanny path which will qualify her for open work permit and Canadian PR after 2 years. I can help to answer questions for those who are interested in doing this having gone through the old process and the new process.
These are some critical points for success:
1. You must have someone Canadian PR or Citizen who is qualified and willing to employ you as a nanny.
2. You must have Language tests results showing a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5 or equivalent.
3. You must have one year of Canadian post-secondary education or the foreign equivalent;
4. Proven experience as a nanny
5. Show that you have qualification and training in childcare including Firstaid, CPR.

Please review this link from IRCC on the process for home childcare provider application:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/hire-foreign-worker/in-home-caregiver.html
You can also review the forum below. You will be able to read about this program and experience of people who have applied world wide.

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/home-childcare-provider-pilot-2019.642381/page-122

In my opinion, this is the easiest way for folks to help their family and friends to come to Canada so far they are willing to sacrifice 2 years of working as a nanny.
So for anyone interested let me know how I can help.

Please can I inbox you? I really ned to chat you up on this. Do assist please.

Unfortunately I know people who have had bad experience bringing people over. I’ve seen relationships break down because people refuse to pay back the money that their sponsors (Siblings) borrowed to support their immigration. At the same time I met a Filipino woman who told me how they do it. She came through her community here in Canada. They sponsored her and she is required to pay back in a number of years. This woman made it a priority to pay back her debt, never complained and never missed a payment.
My point is people want to help but scared to get burnt.

exactly ...sir/ma I understand you perfectly well ,some people from this part of the world are ungrateful I am a living witness ...but we ain't seeking for financial support ...we have already planned for everything ..all we need is job offer ...even if the employer doesn't have the capacity to pay a caregiver no problem ...we gonna look for another employer luckily for us the program permits that ...we have been searching for childcare provider job for more than a year now ....most employers prefer those in Canada ..that's why we are looking for someone that will help us to get job offer once we reach there we do the needful ..and my mum is a public health nurse with much experience so getting job in Canada won't be that hard though I know it won't be easy either .

Hi All

Please does anyone know any online certificate/course that WES can assess favourably as 1 year post secondary education?

I have an aunt who is an auxiliary nurse here in Nigeria who we want to explore this pathway for, the only hitch is the 1year post secondary education, as the highest degree she has is SSCE.

Currently considering enrolling her for a part-time at LASPOTECH, but that is going to take soooooo long.

Please epp me if you know any biko
