XX01: thanks for the good work you are doing. would like to ask this for someone who has a diploma in Journalism but has always been a printer what online courses can he undertake to take advantage of this process. if there are what type of courses should he do. would appreciate if you can be specific. is this pathway age limiting? is the job also age specific. thanks |

Has anyone tried this from Nigeria, the process looks too simple. I am seriously interested . |
Re: Home Child Care Provider Pilot Canada Program For Nigerians by XX01(f): 9:00am On Jun 29, 2020 |
ashatoda: I don't know much about it like I am still researching how to take advantage of it. What I do know is that it is not age limiting as there is no max age. However, remember after 2 years, you can apply for PR via express entry. It will boost your score no doubt, but will the boost be enough? That has to be researched by the individual. |

Re: Home Child Care Provider Pilot Canada Program For Nigerians by oginnite(m): 9:52am On Jul 07, 2020 |
Richdee1: you think you know all, thats why you answered me in alomst a rude manner, However, LMIA is not needed in this Pilot. The Pilot that needed LMIA is the LCP Live-in Caregiver Pilot which has since been stopped since last year and improved upon by floating these two new Pilot. The two new Pilot program is LMIA exempted. Thank You 1 Like |

Meanwhile, Does anyone knows the Processing time for this Pilot program? and how many months for processing work permit from Nigeria |
Re: Home Child Care Provider Pilot Canada Program For Nigerians by pharore(f): 10:57pm On Jul 08, 2020 |
Richdee1: LMIA is not required, all that is needed is for the employer to fill the offer of employment form and ensure that the household income is sufficient enough to pay a caregiver. The processing time is 12 months and it is paper application. |

oginnite: So nice that your brother-in-law is ready to help you out with the job offer because that is the MAJOR challenge about this route to Canada. The following are the steps to take: 1. Your in-law download the offer for employment form on cic page (IMM 5983),fills it, sign and forward to you to sign as well. The trick about getting a positive response for your application, is to ensure that your in-law's household income can ACCOMMODATE the ability to pay you the minimum wage of d province. This is a crucial factor to the success of your application. If your in-law can show the ability to pay you the minimum of like $32,000 per year, then he is a potential employer. Another important factor is to ensure your in-law genuinely requires the service of a caregiver. So they must have children between d ages of 0-18. 2. Get your credentials evaluated by any of the designated bodies e.g WES. 3. IELTS- Minimum CLB 5 4. Show proof of your ability to do the job Check out this guide on CIC website. it will show you all you require for a successful application. Guide 0104 – Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker – Application for Permanent Residence and an Occupation-Restricted Open Work Permit from Outside Canada Lastly, like someone mentioned earlier, try to read from page one and also visit twinkleberyl's page. She has done a lot of research about this route and submitted her application already. If you have any question, send her a mail, she will reply. She is also willing to help and nice too. I wish you the best. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Hello dear, Weldon once again,. I have a question though, I understand this program does not have age limit, however I read somewhere that the age factor might still be a challenge in future when applying for PR after our 2 years of working with Work permit. For instance, someone who's 33 as at when given the work permit Visa will be 35 or 36 as the case may be when applying for PR, will this in any way affect their chances of getting the PR by then? I agree with you, I am also considering submitting mine soon, but I have a few questions, does an accompanying spouse need to write IELTS and do ECA? I didn't seem to find any info of that nature on Canada website, that is why am asking someone that has started their application already. Thanks Darasimis: 1 Like |

I have done this for two of my sisters. One is already Canadian PR under the old live in caregiver path. Mt second sister's application is in progress under the new nanny path which will qualify her for open work permit and Canadian PR after 2 years. I can help to answer questions for those who are interested in doing this having gone through the old process and the new process. These are some critical points for success: 1. You must have someone Canadian PR or Citizen who is qualified and willing to employ you as a nanny. 2. You must have Language tests results showing a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5 or equivalent. 3. You must have one year of Canadian post-secondary education or the foreign equivalent; 4. Proven experience as a nanny 5. Show that you have qualification and training in childcare including Firstaid, CPR. Please review this link from IRCC on the process for home childcare provider application: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/hire-foreign-worker/in-home-caregiver.html You can also review the forum below. You will be able to read about this program and experience of people who have applied world wide. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/home-childcare-provider-pilot-2019.642381/page-122 In my opinion, this is the easiest way for folks to help their family and friends to come to Canada so far they are willing to sacrifice 2 years of working as a nanny. So for anyone interested let me know how I can help. 12 Likes 6 Shares |
