Yesterday for yaba, council boys see as I Dey drive, them say make I park. For my mind, Wetin concern me, concern them? Naso I don Dey drop voice for them ooo (I still Dey middle of road) (AC on, central lock activated). As one of them approached, I asked what I did wrong.
Baba said : “if it’s not that u are a young guy, i would have parked you”.
Me: Park me? Wetin happen?
Baba: next time, if u want to pick a call, clear well.
I just laughed. Which call? I wasn’t pressing my phone. My phone was just hanged and my last call was about 20mins ago. Naso I hiss, zoom off

Even if I’m talking on phone, I haven’t committed any crime because I wasn’t holding the phone. It would have been on speaker

They have tried that shi.t with me before, I change am for them, I wasn't even holding my phone.

To survive on Lagos roads and escape these vultures, you don't have to show signs of weakness. If you sound weak, they go ride you.

By nature, I'm a calm person, but I have learnt lesson, recently, twice I have escaped lastma extortion just by being extremely angry(unpredictable). Make una shine your eyes ooooh

B4 the lockdown I had a rider from Merun off ekoro road to ikoyi, b4 we got to Abule Egba she made a call which we then had to go back to inside sango like you're going to cannaland to pickup her little niece from the UK then we reroute Ikoyi. Trip ended N6,800. Babe said she liked my service so I should come take the niece back home the next day.

I was just 2 trips away from hitting 3% on uber that week God so kind I did one coming back home and set destination to Lekki thr next day for the pick up I was lucky to get Surulere I guess on that day.

Got to PU for the lady I tried to negotiate offline for N7,000 but madam said she can only do 6k since I'm not paying Commission. As if she reminded me of my 3% I then said ok let's do it online instead. Since we gave each other 5stars the previous day her request came to me with 1.3x surge. Started trip around past 4pm and arrived around 8pm or there about. Trip was card on a Sunday na so uber knack her almost N11k surge fee in the receipt was about N3k+

That day I blessed anf praised my God I didn't do that trip offline else I would have regreted it.

As for me off trip doesn't pay me because I'm not that good in negotiation.

Same with me, I'm not good at negotiation. I do avoid offline, though I do get alot of offline trip, I just tell them I'm busy or something

Wow I just have to go back to understand where you are coming from. Those guys are toothless and barbaric.

I was to deliver a customer's car to him last week saturday, so I have to take 3md then link clinic road to face Ajah, toward the end of clinic road to link yaba, there is one dysfunctional traffic light there, a car was in front of me who waited for some folks crossing, immediately those guys successfully navigated their way across the road the vehicle in front of me moved which I followed suit.

Out of no where they just jumped in front me like say them don see prey. Within me I just laff say you go buy market wey no be your own now now. All the drama I no open door nor do I look concerned, the more they talk, the more I dey match my pedal dey move. When they see say I no send and am not ready to yield na dem comot my front.

In a nutshell for an instance you need to be bold and face them gallantly. Until proven guilty, you will remain innocent. Na just fear and I dont want them to delay me dey kill people

True, nah lack of patience is what makes many drives give money to these criminals, when yaba LGA touts took meto their office for not putting on mask in my car(I was alone and AC was on). Alot of were paying 5k, 3k, 10k and they will let them go, Las Las nah N500(gate money) I pay grin

If u r sure u have not committed any offense.

You can choose the option of not paying the fine and follow them to court.

You apply through the court to release ur vehicle on bond.

They need to present evidence of ur offence to the court, if they fail to get judgment against u, sue them 4 damages, and you could be a millionaire in couple of years.
.

A driver on weekly rentals can't wait that long to exhaust the process lipsrsealed

Let me share my experience.

I typically do ehailing, 1 trip from mainland to island very early in the morning to at least bring down my fuel cost as I transit to work.

So today I went on Indriver, saw one trip just like that - 7mins from PU and the location seemed like the island (as per indriver fastest finger, I didn't even confirm, I just applied). Trip was 1,200, I didnt mind. Its better than driving empty.

Picked up the guy, seemed like a nice guy but as I started the trip, I saw like 1hr+ on google map, then I knew I bought bad market.

Looked again, it was somewhere inside inside Apapa, apparently the bridges I saw on indriver map were the ones that lead to Apapa.

I was still acting professional, didn't complain. Started the trip. When I got inside the Apapa side, it was unbearable. Some traffic points were near standstill.

I left professionalism, turned off my a/c, he didn't deserve it, a very wicked somebody, because he was going to work and he knew what lay ahead. How can he book a trip like that for 1k, because I also use the rider side of indriver and I know they usually give a base rate that is comparable to bolt. Even without traffic that trip will be at least over 3k.

The guy realised my mood was changing, and started begging me to chill, we will get there and he will give me more money.

Long story short, after like 1hr and still in traffic, I ask the guy to alight and not bother with payment.

Very wicked people exits on indriver, be careful with the fastest finger thing

Kpom! That's why in the day when I can go anywhere, if 2 request clash, i will usually take the uber request. Their standards are higher, clock starts to countdown as soon as you reach PU (makes riders more disciplined to choose correct PU), also after waiting for 8 minutes at PU (5 mins for older riders I think) I can cancel and get cancellation fee.
