'Arrest Him’ Video: Channels TV Redeploys Cameraman To Senate by dre11(m): 8:39am On Aug 22, 2020
There were indications yesterday that a video cameraman with Channels television attached to the Presidential Villa in Abuja had been redeployed to the Senate over a viral video, where the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, and immediate past national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, were allegedly discussing possible arrest.

Multiple sources confirmed the development, saying the decision may have been influenced by the Presidency, which must have felt embarrassed by the video of such a conversation making it to the public domain.

The video had attracted comments from many Nigerians, with the National Chairman of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Uche Secondus, calling on world powers to punish Gambari and Oshiomhole for their alleged conspiracy to subdue the opposition and rig the September 19 governorship elections in Edo State, from where the latter hails and have been governor.

The presidency had assured that the duo would not do anything to undermine a free and fair exercise, but Secondus declared that the threat to the country’s democracy was becoming more and more real by the day and urged the National Assembly to call for the tape of the video and examine thoroughly, its content, with a view to acting appropriately, adding that the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and the Electoral Act are clear on blatant undermining of democracy by clamping down on the opposition.

It's a treason officials of a government are picked up in such a horrible discussion.Instead of the government to fire the affected officials or investigative this issue as would be obtained in civilised settings, it's here doing damage control.Well, karma knows how to take care of business.

Whoever recorded that video will do Nigerians much favor by releasing the concluding part.

It's hard to make any concrete deductions from that discussion.

PDP in panic mode

.

It's not about the party....It's about democracy...

Oshiomole doesn't stand a chance anymore in Edo state.... He's trying to use his connection at the presidency to hold down Edo state by all means.

We're awaiting the arrest....If any Frontline politician is arrested in Edo state... Oshiomole will know that Edo is not Lagos as the people will ensure that the vote him out of the state forever..

This government's vindictiveness and intolerance to dissenting views is very predictable. A smarter govt would have pretended unperturbed about the video but this reprimand clearly shows d video really exposed the skeleton in their cupboard as per dia plans to use security to undermine and suppress people's electoral will in d forthcoming elections. If truly d custodian of d full video knows he has a chance to be a hero he wud just release d full video version already. The dent painted upon Gambari who most thought was of clear departure from d cabal can only be imagined
