EXOUSIAng:

And how old are those countries compared to Nigeria...
I know we can be better, but it is complete stupidity that makes you people compare Nigeria to France, Spain, UK, US etc this countries are more than 500years older than Nigeria with exception of US....
Is Nigeria Economy not better than that of Egypt and Ethiopia, countries that were already civilized more than 4000years ago?
Have you ever checked your history books to see what this countries went through to arrive where they are today...
There is nothing wrong with aiming high but it is common sense to be very rational in your comparison.....
YOU, WHAT HAVE YOU CONTRIBUTED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS COUNTRY APART FROM SITTING YOUR ASS DOWN AND COMPLAINING

GBAMSOLUTELY words for the wise that chose to be foolish all because of hatred and bigot.

If they abandon each other's projects, you people would say there's no continuity, so how can people satisfy you complainants! angry

It is neither about Jona nor Bubu, it's about Nigeria!

In a country that has one of the cheapest labour in the world, those costs being quoted are extremely ridiculous. In fact, they're just too unreasonable.

Someone needs to lead the way showing Nigerians that things are not really that expensive to build in Nigeria. It's like when people have billions in this country, they cease to be frugal and reasonable with costs. At the end of the day, you buy/build one thing at the cost of buying/building two of that same thing. It's even dollars that they're quoting. That's to show that the issues are unique to the Nigerian system and has nothing to do with exchange rate.

Projects everywhere yet Buhari is not working. Personally, I'll rate him 75/100. If only he didn't take all those loans then he would have gotten a 90.
Most of these projects are actually ongoing for real but the real question is, not many of them is happening in the east. Looks like that's why our eastern brothers want to separate.

Now u understand why they feel marginalised ... Nigeria is not one.

The debt will be paid by everyone but not everyone is benefiting from it

In Nigeria, you can build a great and well finished 6-7 bedroom duplex with $100k. You CANNOT achieve that in expensive countries like US, UK, etc.

However, things take a twist when you get into massive constructions. The cost quoted in Nigeria are always way above the cost of similar projects in expensive countries like USA, UK, etc. This is not a government thing. Even private firms are doing this thing. There is something wrong.

I noticed that when it comes to massive constructions, foreign (American, Asian and European) owned firms in Nigeria have lower rate than their Nigerian counterparts. This is just very awful. It's disgusting. Why not just buy laptop and hustle instead of defrauding your fellow countrymen?

Nice initiatives from the government, however in a the write-up I observe there is no time line for the projects.

Who does projects without timelines for the execution of the projects.

The construction of the Lagos blue line has become protracted without any timeline or commitment from the government.

This days the governor does not even talk about the project any more.

It is so sickening .

The Lagos blue line has been abandoned, just like the monorail project in River State. There is a war chest that needs to be built for the 2023 presidential election. I don't see Lagos embarking on any mega project until after 2023.
