I don't think so Jare.. I don't think it has anything to do with inferiority complex afterall Anambra is not more well governed than Ebonyi... There is something called choice and right of association which is what they're exercising, they prefer to be with us Imo/Abia than Anambra and that is what it is.

The Chairman of Southeast Governors Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State, David Nweze Umahi, today, met with the Abia State Governor,. Okezie Ikpeazu after a COVID-19 Survival thanksgiving program by the Abia State Governor at Obingwa, Abia State on Saturday.


IGBERE TV had reported that that family, friends and colleagues of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State joined him on Saturday at the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference (ENUC) Headquarters of the Seventh Day Adventist Church to celebrate and thank God for delivering him from the deadly coronavirus.

Testifying before the congregation, Governor Ikpeazu said that the ugly development has further strengthened his faith in God, admitting that if not for the faithfulness of God he would have been a dead man.

The Governor thanked the team of doctors whom God used to restore his health, as well as the clergy and the people of Abia State who supported him in prayer.

How can umahi be a friend with a chronic failure

Gov. Umahi is one of the best leader in Nigeria. Not just in the south east. If we had 20 or 36 of him, Nigeria will grow to Singapore level.


The guy is a confirmed action man. He can do better, but so far, him, buchi, Lagos, are 1st class leaders in Nigeria. If these leaders were in correct countries, their impact will be felt, they will be above average. No be fluke.

Governor Umahi is a man of vision and purpose. With 10 flyovers, beautiful roads on concrete pavement, one of the best government houses in Nigeria and building a standard teaching hospital among many others, he has made us proud as a State. We hope and pray that Nigerians will give him the opportunity of being their President.

It's got nothing to do with inferiority complex but a lot to do with historical association.

Historically, Ebonyi was created from Old Anambra and Imo States. First, Imo Was split in 2, Imo and Abia and then Anambra was split in 2, Enugu and Anambra.
Lastly Ebonyi was carved from Abia and Enugu state generally.

Uburu (where Ebonyi governor is from and Afikpo) have age-long historical ties with Abia hence the affinity between the 2 and it's easy to see why the governor wants them to be zoned together.

So it's not unusual for the governor to make such request.

Well research well and you find out states have the power to move themselves... Same Ebonyi was under calabar police zone before Umahi moved them to join us imo/Abia prior to the creation of Zone 13..By default I think they prefer zone 9 and will still be moved to join us in zone 9..in due time
