Please can anybody let me know what's the update on 2nd NB and Enugu/Onitsha express way. I heard the Enugu/Onitsha express way was about 50% done before the covid lockdown. I want to know if the contractors have returned to site.

ATASP -1 Hands Over Certificate Of Site Possession To China Zhonghai For Concrete Canal Lining Project At Umumbo And Omor Communities, Ayamelum Council Area
ATASP -1 Hands Over Certificate Of Site Possession To China Zhonghai For Concrete Canal Lining Project At Umumbo And Omor Communities, Ayamelum Council Area
Anambra State Government in collaboration with Agricultural Transformation Agenda Support Program phase one, ATASP-1 has handed over certificate of site possession to China Zhonghai Nig Limited for the construction of forty kilometers concrete canal lining within Umumbo and Omor Communities in Ayamelum locaLocall Government Area.
The three point nine billion naira project is to ensure proper irrigation system for rice farmers and adequate water supply within the communities.

Over time, rice farmers have been facing the challenge of poor irrigation system which has been affecting their output.
This situation resulted to lack of raw materials for rice processing companies, low income for farmers and decrease in internally generated revenue of the state.

In view of the above, the state government has moved to proffer a lasting solution by collaborating with the Federal government through Agricultural Transformation Agenda Support Program phase one, ATASP-1.
Handing over the certificate to the company at the project site at Umumbo, the state Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. Nnamdi Onukwuba represented by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mrs. Stephanie Keri-Uzor noted that the state government is determined to drive sustainable economic growth and development through Agriculture.
The National Program Coordinator of ATASP-1, Dr Ibrahim Arabi represented by the National Civil Engineer of the Program, Engineer Usman Abdullahi and the South East Zonal Program Coordinator, Mr.
Romanus Egba harped on the need for effective maintenance culture to ensure durability.

The Presidents General of Umumbo and Omor communities, Engineer Anthony Nnaamah and Chief Chukwuma Nebeife respectively assured of maximum support to ensure that the project is completed in record time.
Earlier while receiving the certificate, the representative of China Zhonghai Nig Limited, Mr. Bai, who promised to deliver the project in one year as agreed, assured to resume work on sixteenth of September 2020.
One of the farmers that witnessed the handover ceremony, Mr. Sunday Obodoeze from Umumbo while expressing joy over the development, said on completion, three seasons farming in a year is achievable.

Wow....good news guys...so Happy about Onitsha port...God knows this issue has given me sleepless Night.

We all know onitsha port will cause tremendous improvement..in Anambra generally. We can see onitsha port is tagged Clarion port...we don't know yet whom onitsha port is concessioned to... Hope it will be an indigenous company owned by igbo man...(I have good reasons for that) but my research proves otherwise...but let me be calm until the concessionaire comes to light.

Yes our airport I am very pleased to see active improvement ongoing... Thanks to Obiano.... Very soon we will be both air and sea borne...

Lastly Oil and gas....now that is my current headache...please ANSG should prevail those oil companies to convert there prospective licences to mining lease....they have some stolen enough to cover for expenditure on prospecting ....we need our percentage derivation.. ASAP

From my research on Clarion Group, it is owned by an Igbo man Innocent Eloka versed in the Marine business and I hope he manages Onitsha port well.

The Chairman and Founder of Air Peace, Chief Allen Onyema has extolled
the level of ongoing work at the Anambra International Cargo Airport,
saying it meets every international standards.

Chief Onyema who spoke to the ABS at his Country home in Mbosi Ihiala
Local Government Area after visiting the site said he is proud to be
identified as an Anambra man describing the Project as laudable.

He said he was fascinated that the Airport was not being constructed
for mere purpose of fulfilling a promise but that every Infrastructure
that will make any Airport meet any International standard is being
put in place.

He explained that even though there are other Airports close to the
State, the Aviation industry opens up the economy of any region and
commended the Anambra State Government for the vision of pursuing the
completion of the Airport.

Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by Armon: 12:45pm On Aug 23, 2020
Thank you Allen....I know you will have bigger plans for us your people... Secondly I am glad Allen addressed long pointless argument in this thread whether we need an air port or not.

I thank God we have son of the soil in the aviation industry that means more bigger plans and gain to us Ndi Anambra.

Also Faani kayode hinted too about the airport and there testimonies are all corroborated.

Also our sons of the soil in the oil businesses to take leaf from Allen, come together to make sure we are enlisted for derivation from FG... But it seems they are divided and generally not focused but interested their personal gain.

Thank you Obiano. You are the only positive achievment of your predecessor

I hate seeing what they did to those flyovers along the Onitsha-Enugu expressway. Sometimes, less is more and those bridges look gaudy and tacky - especially as the cables used in their design have no utility purpose. The cables in suspension bridges and cable-stayed bridges are used to actually support the deck of a bridge and not used for decoration of small flyovers. It just looks bush. Obiano bu ezigbote bushman.

Obiorah, your useless good for nothing father is a bush man, no wonder when others were contesting elections he was sleeping with akwuna. Is your useless good for nothing father not older than Obiano, Obi, Ngige, etc, where was he since 1999 till date. Useless idiot that his lineage couldn't achieve anything in life but had the guts to insult others.
