Okay now I understand, I have 2 100ah gel batteries that are not giving me up to 2hrs with a 150w load. So that will serve as my test samples when I get the pulse charger.

Hopefully I should have good reports for the house. Fingers crossed.

By the way who else ordered from Jumia any news on shipping?

Nice one, by the way which model did u order? I just tracked my package and it seems to be in Nigeria, it's showing at sorting hub. If experience serves me right I might be getting it tomorrow.

Once again fingers crossed....

my guy, what's ur battery voltage, after the pulse repair charger fully charged ur battery,
I want to compare with mine,

Sorry Ceejay, usually here later in the night, so my responses won't be regular.

So remember, I mainly bought it to fix my Ritar 150AH which turned out irredeemable, it's done well on my AGM Calcium car battery, but even that has not been put back in my car for testing as its currently parked and immobile.

Now I've used it mainly for my gel 200AH batteries and it takes it ages to get to the preset of 14.4v....infact only one gel battery has completed the full cycle with the charger, with the other one staying on and endless float charge of 0.2A.

Recently I am cautious with leaving the charger too long on my gel batteries as I'm afraid it could overcharge the batteries as a consistent float of 14.4v for gel "might" not be a good thing for the chemistry. My inverter and my 20amp suoer charger are happy to float my batteries at 13.6-13.8v.

My belief (which you all can correct me on) is that this kind of charging algorithm maybe more suitable for AGM,FLA and Lithium.

However I am very happy with the charger as it is quite reliable, seems to do well with NEPA light and is not heavy on a generator. Also the always on voltmeter display is very very helpful.

My gel batteries currently parallel sit at 13.4v (truly 13.2v) once NEPA is off. Even when load is added it takes it a while (sometimes 2 -3 hours) before it drops to 12.9 (truly 12.7).

So I am happy, though I can't 100% say if it is the charger, the batteries or the gel chemistry.

Oh, the 0.2v discrepancy is not a fault and is clearly stated in the manual. Check your manual Ceejay you will see it there..... so there must be a reason the Chinese built it that way.

mine too never charges the battery full, its always 14.4v 0.5amp or sometimes on between 0.5amp - 1.0 amp charge for more than 12hrs , which doesn't affect the battery cos the amp charge is low, once in a month, I put the charger on manual and set the knob so I can get it to click at 16v 3amp for 45min,
on intelligent mode mine starts charge 14.4 18amp, battery was not depleted so it starts at 18amp dropping down, , always turn ur knob to full right on intelligent mode, charge will start at 14.4v but sometimes if its on intelligent mode and the knob is turned to the left charge will start at 13.8v
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by ceejay80s(m): 2:13am On Aug 25, 2020
two weeks ago I used it with my car battery, I let my car battery run down for a month with out driving or warming, so I charged with pulse repair all through the night ,started on 14.4v 20amp and sat at 14.4v 0.2amp for hours, I placed it back in my car and the car starts well uptill now

- Clip Wire Length: 84cm
- Power Cable Length: 123cm
- Input Voltage: 110-250V
- Output Voltage: 12V/24V , 20A/15A
- Power: 400W
- Frequency: 50-60HZ
- Application: Suitable for 12V/24V ,6-400AH car and motor batteries or 12V lithium battery.

Introduction of 5-stage mode:
1. No-load Mode
when there has no load connected with charger, the LED Screen will show voltage only, the power is about 2W;
2. Constant Current Mode
means the battery voltage is lower than the set voltage of charger, then the charger supply constant charging current to maintenance both battery and battery charger;
3. Constant Voltage Mode
advanced pulse width modulation (PWM) technology, control the charger current and output voltage accurate, avoid overcharge;
4. Float Charge Mode
when the battery is going to be charged full,the charger will stop charging,but still supply constant floating voltage and small current to battery;
5. Trickle Charge Mode
when the battery voltage and current is approaching the set voltage and current, it will turn to trickle floating charge from automatic mode, it means charge full, also can be charged with floating mode.[/b]

when ever i connect my solar panel to battery and at same time connect the pulse repair, ,if the sun outside is hot, the amp power of the pulse repair reduces depending on the how far the battery was discharged, but if the sun is so very hot, the pulse repair charger cuts of charging immediately the amp goes to 00.0amp, probably it doesnt want to over charge the battery so it cuts off charge, but i am still watching it weekends when i am home, but i always remove the solar clip from the battery before i leave for work and connect on saturday morning to resume testing both at same time
