Is it even affordable anywhere else in Nigeria? Good enough, in govt house they don't have the same complain, so affected citizens should march there & complain to Gandollar. The man has what it takes, if not in giving them real rice, he can check his babariga and drop some dollars for them to buy at the general market price.

Wicked sombori grin

Things are getting out of hand here in the country. I read about price inflation on food last week....
Here in Akure, one Congo of Rice is 1200naira for Foreign rice and for local Rice is 800naira....
This price has progressively affect all other food.....
.. Is this the next level we clamoring for?

Daily trust with their fake news again!

Please stop peddling fake news!

Rice is very affordable in Kano a friend bought a bag yesterday for N9300. How can rice become unaffordable just overnight?

This is kind of news that hit the front page within a blink of an eye.

The prize is high but still very affordable to people of Kano state!

Will you shut up there, they said hunger is loading and you are here ignorantly trying to attack the news source, are you OK.

You don’t understand English,Buhari did the right thing by stopping importation of foreign rice but he should listen to the people and open the border to allow importation of foreign rice since the the greedy farmers won’t stop milking the populace
What kind of president stops the importation of a product very popular amongst his People without providing an alternative
How do you expect the farmers to sell cheaply when they put their lives at risk of being taken by herdmen anytime they go their farm

Which is the reason inflation keeps going up.

Meanwhile, if people can't afford to eat, a basic right in any society, where will they get the strength to think up solutions for issues around them?

No food security, Agricultural policies are bad, exchange rate not helping matters and terrible galloping unemployment.
